I was going to suggest, if you take a terminator as an elite choice; they can take a land raider to. You can get 2!
I have two Baneblades coming for the army so I think one
LR is probably going to be enough
lol,
That said what a great idea. But it's a bit balance tipping, I'm trying to make the army feel more
IG than
SM sure there are some
SM aspects but in terms of on the table
and look, I really want the marines to feel like an addon (even though they are actually calling the shots).

I just need to find a suitable croc miniature that doesn't look like a tourist trinket throwback (which unfortunately seems to be the only type I can find)
I wonder how hard it would be to turn a cold one into a four legged croc?

Not a bad idea at all Dee ty, oh and I'm heading to the resin guys on Friday to see what can be done about my casting problem thats holding up your pads.
I tried the powder like Blackhand suggested and it made them a bit better but I'm still getting to many blank casts (not air but lack of resin alltogether).
fingers crossed it's an easy fix, worste case I cast them as a solid item by adding the rounded shoulder from a marine kit to the underside of the pad and do a flat cast (which works
btw
just makes it fiddly on your end of things).
Rogue Wolves wrote:im likeing the jacketed guardsmen, also how did you get a plot on the moon?
I'm not the worlds best painter by far, so I'm sure other out there could do the mini's far more justice... buuuut on the table all standing together I can't get over how good those
guard look in a group. As for the moon thingy.

They make an awesome gift for someone who has everything, you can also buy the naming rights to stars. These guys are the offical sellers they won a big court case in the US which effectively legalised
their sale and your ownership of the deeds under US and subsiquently UN propertery laws that said good luck actually trying to enforce your claim, yep thats right it's all real and legit which is
hilarious. There are however some dodge guys also trying to cash in on this gift idea and well you pay and get nothing or simply get a chunk of paper you could have printed in "Word".
It's completely oddball but worth every cent in entertainment value, I'm going to frame mine and hang it on the wall I think, the packs you get come with maps and photo's of your claim
(taken via telescope) your mining deeds (depth and types of mining allowed) the land deed and rights to develope a bunch of other stuff like a membership to the society a DVD with mapping and
other Moon related software.
I'll post a pick of the whole package so you can see.

More Moon stuff...
Whats in the box:
- Deed
- Assignment of deed and rights to the land and sub structure up set depth
- Citizenship certificate including
ID which is hidden from view)
- The lunar settlement initiative documents (basically a document outlining a method for privatized business and people to acheive a perminant base on the moon faster than the governments
(it's a little fanatical but a good read and probably not so silly with enough money).
- The map outlining my property
- A breif on the location of my property
- Info on the Kennedy 2 explorer which is a privately funded space program
- Mapping disc
- A stamp with the Lunar Society on it (the welcome to the moon thingy)
So there you go nice little bundle of funa nd laughs.
Ok back
