Grot 6 wrote: How do those heads match up with 7TV's SHIVA operators?
I sculpted the original femdroid that the SHIVA figures are based on and I think their heads were a little bigger than the Resistance girls. I'd say the Resistance heads would look fine on the SHIVA bodies but the SHIVA heads might look odd on the Resistance bodies, if that makes sense. I think I've got a couple of master castings of the femdroids somewhere so I'll dig them out and check.
BrookM: do you have the SHIVA figures to confirm this?
Sweet! They're both well in scale with your current line of la Resistance, though miss King's head does come across as a tad biggish, Carrie's mini is right up there with your new sculpts.
News Crew and Resistance girls delivered safely this morning,
great casts as always (so get shopping people!)
I wonder how Tallulah and Carter will feel reporting on an invasion of inter-dimensional green skinned loonies when I can get my hands on the Goblinaid minis ?
Thanks, guys. Now for something completely different...
"Following the disastrous Kowloon Incident, Hong Kong Security Operative Mei-lin Mayfair's consciousness was uploaded into a high-tech gynoid body. Only during a routine check of her coding was it discovered she was an SIS agent. Mei-lin managed to evade the shut-down and reset protocols initiated on discovery and escaped with a small number of slaved gynoid drones. She continues to thwart the plans of her former employers, though she knows she is hunted mercilessly by multiple versions of her own self, each now utterly loyal to the ESU cause."
The release is still some way off - maximum of 2 months, I'd say, hopefully less. The release will be Mei-Lin as a single figure with 2 head options and a pack of three Hong Kong Killer Fembots with optional heads. The heads and weapon arms are interchangeable between the figures.
These are looking amazing, can't wait to get my paintbrush on them!
I definitely like both sets of heads, (edit, misread the post re: packaging) It would be really great if the heads could be available separately as well...
gohkm wrote: Wow, that's very impressive. Somewhat reminiscent of one of Hasslefree's figs, though. Or maybe it was a Heresy fig. Eh, no matter - must buy!

Mei-Lin will be sold separately with the two head options. The gynoids will be in a 3-pack with 6 heads: the heads with hair and the 'helmet' heads. These heads won't be sold separately though a similar design would likely be used on a sci-fi faction I've got at the back of my mind.
Re: Hasslefree - I think we may have a shared source of inspiration. The actual figures are very different (Mei-Lin's a robot for a start). I think I've taken the theme to one extreme as to make Mei-Lin and the Gynoids unique.
Edit: Oh and of course, the figures will have the usual multiple purchase discount so if you want both sets of heads, there you go!
That's... brilliant. I've been watching The Saint on DVD (fiancee can't stand the machismo in it) and it reminds me of the DS9 episodes when Bashir plays a superspy.
I've decided to go with a completely different style for the Statuesque Fantasy reboot, much chunkier and more exaggerated than my sci-fi figures. There's more information and waffle about this on my blog HERE. He measures 21mm to the top of his helmet and that is a 20mm square base he is standing on.
Release is still some way off as I've got to finish his adventuring friends!
He has the same comically-oversized schnoz as the Red Box Dwarfs. As a fan of all things dwarf, all I can say is I don't like it. It makes me feel like I'm trying to remember which Jim Henson production these creatures remind me of and all I come up with is "Asterix in Brian Froud's Epcot Center: Scandinavia" which makes me uncomfortable for some reason.
The proportions and details of the clothes, armor, limbs and weapon all look great. It's just hard to take a dwarf seriously who risks drowning every time he sneezes.

Weeeeell, my influences for this project include Asterix (I've been reading the comics again), Brian Froud and John Bauer. The old Citadel Perry Dwarf Adventurers - specifically the elder with the walking stick and bad back - are also an influence. As I said on my blog, I've deliberately made the figure more caricatured. Sculpting female figures all the time (though they're also very caricatured and exaggerated) is quite constricting, so this project is to allow me to break free of that and push everything and have some fun. I also want figures that will compliment my collection of 4ed Kev Adams goblins. I want to do some dungeon crawling with exactly the warband I've always wanted. It's all quite self indulgent really!
I'll be leaving this figure to mellow while I work on the rest of the warband so I'll see how I feel about the massive conk when I come back to him. He might get some rhinoplasty, we'll see.
Asterix was an immediate recognition for me too, but it also brings to mind for me the old animated Hobbit movie. At least nose wise, minus the rough, gnarly tree-like look.
Alpharius wrote: I have to admit, I didn't even really notice the nose until Bob went semi-apoplectic about it!
I like the mini - nicely done!
My natural state of being is "Lewis Black". And that's before I get started on something I really care about, like dwarfs or werewolves.
EDIT: It does seem like the model is hitting the right feelings of nostalgia and whimsy for a lot of customers, so it is a success. It's just not one I grok.
BOGOF TIME! Until the 18th of August, the Beret Head sprue is BUY ONE GET ONE FREE! That's on top of the quantity discounts already on offer! Buy 1 sprue and you'll receive 2 ; buy 2 sprues and you'll receive 4 and so on! Buy 4 sprues and you'll receive 8 sprues making them only 80p each!
I've seen the heads used on Sedition Wars, Infinity, Hasslefree and, of course, Statuesque Miniatures Resistance Fighters so go pick up yourself a bargain at the Statuesque Miniatures store.
I've just finished work on the Elf for my warband. Again, like his comrade Lowri Lowrisson, I didn't want to reinvent the genre but to sculpt exactly what I wanted in an adventuring elf. He's currently nameless as I've yet to come up with an Elf name I like, but now that I've written it, I kind of like the sound of 'The Nameless Elf'...
I'll likely keep working on him when things catch my eye that need doing. There's more blurb about him on my BLOG. I've also done a wee bit more work on Lowri Lowrisson, mainly to allow the shield to be a separate part. You can see the images on the Statuesque Miniatures Facebook page.
I quite like the wizard . For the nose, my thought was that it would look smaller on a physical model... it does seem large on the render but perhaps wouldn't turn out that way on the actual product?
RiTides wrote: I quite like the wizard . For the nose, my thought was that it would look smaller on a physical model... it does seem large on the render but perhaps wouldn't turn out that way on the actual product?
Yup, details tend to appear less prominent on a physical model compared to a render. Even the Resistance girls look quite chunky on screen, which is why I don't show renders (other than cell shaded or edge highlighted) of them, since they're meant to be all slinky. It's one of the quirks of digital sculpting for miniatures that you have to learn and compensate for.
I quite like the dimensions myself and they kind of have a cool old skool vibe, I gather you're making the Old RPG gang here then will there be an Amazon at some stage
ironicsilence wrote: Nice looking models, not sure I'm crazy about the faces but I do like that the faces dont look like every other model out there
This. I suggest you name the elf Tylenil or Ilbuprofin. Or perhaps Mydol.
Sure hope that wizard passes his kidney stone!
They have a lot of character. I would totally buy them for Reaper metal prices through a big retailer as part of a larger order. Otherwise, not worth the effort or additional shipping, yet. Maybe if I saw a dwarf lady without the honker...or a dragonman or something less well represented in the market.
I've a bit of overstock to clear, so how about a sale? Use the code SEPT at the checkout to get 15% off the Sale Items. This offer ends on Monday the 15th of September.
The products included in the sale are Ezmeralda Tyke, Resistance Beret Heads, Resistance Officer Weapons and Resistance Gasmask Heads.
In other news, the prints for Mei-Lin and the Hong Kong Killer Fembots finally went off for mastering this week. The original Mei-Lin is very low on stock before she goes out of production, as is Inigo Wilde. If you want them, better grab them now as I don't know when they'll ever be available again!
Andrew Rae wrote: Male barbarian is in the works, progressing nicely. He's a lot of work especially as the pose I chose requires a lot of anatomical thought!
I'd like to get round to female alternatives for all the characters once the males are on sale (and selling nicely )
That's great! Keep working then, come on, stop using the internets, go!
Been bit quiet round here while I sort some issues. The robogirls were unfortunately delayed but will be along shortly. In the mean time here's a preview!
These are as they arrived this morning and I have yet to clean off the support tags. There seemed to a be desire for larger lady heads so here you go. They'll lose about 10% size through to production. What you do with them is up to you!
Those are some good looking heads. I wish there were a sprue of bald ones though, for people who like to sculpt hair/hats/bionics on them. (Or for people who just like bald girls.)
Love these miniatures, definitely going to be using them for Infinity as Line Kazak replacements (the older sculpts look not so great, and these are awesome).
Any chance you might do some more hat styles? Ushanka's perhaps? Or more Field type ones? If you don't, that's fine, I should be able to get by with the ones you have sculpted thus far (the helmeted ones, plus the regular ones you get on the resistance girls will be easily used). I'll likely grab the Beret headed ones for Merovingian Ariadna forces, and some of the others for use with Sedition Wars.
Good work mate! Will be looking to make a nice order with you in the future!
Statuesque Miniatures is pleased to announce we are now selling the Pulp Alley rulebooks and playing cards. With a European retailer for the games, it is now easier and cheaper for Pulp Alley fans on this side of the Atlantic to get their hands on the printed copies of the game.
Pulp Alley is a pulp-themed miniatures game, with all the rules you need to bring dashing heroes, dastardly villains, and pulse-pounding action to your gaming tabletop. Pulp Alley captures the fast-paced excitement of classic cliffhanger serials and pulp magazines to more modern action/adventure stories. Designed primarily as a multi-player miniatures game, each Pulp Alley scenario is jammed full of villains, unexpected perils, and plenty of two-fisted action.
The Pulp Alley rulebooks and cards are in-stock, though we are waiting on protective sleeves so there will be a couple of days delay before orders are sent.
Please note, there is a small surcharge for orders outside the UK, due to postal costs. Please remember to click the appropriate surcharge on the product page or your order may be delayed.

Looking good. I'm set to receive a few spare parts of Eisenkern plastics to convert female stormtroopers (or AS, not sure yet) and I'll be using the cracking hairdo set, and a few of your machine pistols. If it goes over well, I'll be getting a few more heads.
Well, Pulp Alley sales have gone well, so much so that we're already sold out of the deal and the cards! We're looking into getting a restock as soon as possible.

Just wondering what the changes were to the original females that have now been replaced? What changes were made to the guns? I do see that one of the old style heads had a beanie which now isn't present, but I do like the field hats being used more as well.
Are there further changes to come, or are they good for the moment?
Hi Fenriswolf. The heads are different on all four figures, some more minor than others, but I've given them all a bit more expression in their faces. The guns are the same though a couple of them do not have their fingers on the trigger - they've learned a bit of trigger discipline so no more running with their fingers on the trigger! There are a couple of very minor changes to the bodies but nothing really noticeable.
The main change is that the moulds are much less prone to miscasts. It shouldn't have affected customers as I hope I caught all miscasts when sorting the figures, but it was quite a problem. With the new moulds, there wasn't a single miscast in this first batch! So it's easier and cheaper for me and the casters, which means I can now offer the deal for the Resistance Cell.
There won't be anymore changes to the Resistance Girls now as they offer a good base to continue with. I'll be adding more head and gun options in the future though, and a couple more specialists in due course.

Here are some photos of a figure that I hope to have on sale in the new year. This is the 3D print and she will be going away for moulding tomorrow, along with some other Statuesque figures and the Pulp Alley duo.
Lillie Poots is the heroine of my forthcoming pulp horror range Statuesque Asylum...
She's very small - around 21mm tall. I'm really pleased with how she turned out. I originally started her in Fimo almost two years ago, though I'm glad I redid her digitally as she's turned out much better. She's my favourite figure I've sculpted and I think one of my best!
Wow! She is great! I'll definitely get one of her- I'm using children to lead my Tyranid monsters about[for extra creepiness]- she'll be perfect. I'll get some of the resistance fighters too- always been a big fan of yours but not been able to get round to buying. Looking forward to seeing the new models too!

I like her a lot, but I'm not sure that I would put her as one of your best. Great, definitely, but she has some severely sharp competition in your other work.
Out of curiosity, did you sculpt her to be more "heroic" proportions or more normal ones? I feel like her head might be a tad bit large, but maybe not since she is a youngster.
Great work, as usual.
BTW: Barbarian Adventurer? Still wating to see more than a silhouette...
She's definitely got a child's proportionally larger head but I've also made my pulp figures more 'Copplestone' in scale - a bit chunkier with slightly larger heads and extremities. Not quite heroic scale though. She'll still work fine with the scifi range though.
Regarding the barbar, check the Facebook page. I'll get photos of the print once I've cleaned it up.

BobtheInquisitor wrote:"Little Poots"?
Disturbingly, the word I most associate with "Poots" is "pin-up". That and genitalia-ridden body-horror.
The sculpt is great, though. Perfect for Cthulhu-inspired games as well as Young Scooby Doo hijinks.
Andrew Rae wrote: "Lillie Poots". Where I'm from 'to poots' means to sulk. I was unaware of any body horror connotation! And thankfully Poots is a real surname.
Tannhauser42 wrote:"To poot" also means to fart. Hehe, gotta love what words mean in different cultures.
Am I really the only one whose first thought on seeing the name (in the thread title) was that it was a derivation of Lilliput from Gulliver's Travels??? Given that the announcement post stresses how small she is I suspect that is where the name comes from and not references to genitalia or flatus.

WAIT! You're wanting little girls dressed in what!?!
RAR! Here's the barbarian for my group of fantasy adventurers. This is the 3D print and it will be going off for moulding shortly. The other characters are printed too. I'll get some photos of the wizard taken soon, though the dwarf and elf will have to wait as I can't assemble the prints due to parts being on sprues. These figures will be going on sale after the Pulp Alley and Statuesque Asylum figures, so hopefully around February. He's a big bugger; unashamedly 'heroic scale' and around 33mm tall.
Honestly, I think he's just a bit too heroic in proportions. His leg -to-torso ratio looks similar to a Mantic dwarf. The bridge of his nose also seems to blend directly into the slope of his forehead, and his entire cranium can fit in his mouth.
I love the pose, the expression and the clean sculpting style, but I wouldn't buy this model for anything above Reaper Bones pricing.
I think it's constructive criticism. Andrew might just not be sculpting to Bob's taste. I find him charming, in a "hockey enforcer way before his time" type of way.
Alpharius wrote: I'm beginning to think there isn't a way to make Bob happy...
I'm not trying to be mean. I was trying to offer constructive criticism. I'm just not good at sparing other people's feelings, apparently. I've commented on his other sculpts, too, as I am interested in his fantasy range...provided changes are made. Obviously I'm not in his target demographic. However, with the true-scale "Red Box" revolution in fantasy minis, I really appreciate his embrace of heroic scale, although I might just prefer it wasn't a rib-crushing bear hug. And I really am a fan of his clean-lined sculpting style and his characters' expressions. I guess I'm trying to nudge him towards sculpting minis perfect for my consumption, and it's coming across as badgering.
I'll just bow out if that's what you would prefer.
Indeed, constructive criticism is always appreciated.
These fantasy figures certainly won't be to everyone's tastes and I gleefully ignored any concessions to 'realistic' human proportions. It was worth it if only for the fun I had sculpting them!
As I said, the Dwarf and Elf will have to wait as I can't assemble the prints for photographing.
Would anyone be interested in alternative parts for these figures? I'm thinking I could sculpt 'leveled up' parts- the wizard could get a new head and staff, the barbarian a new sword and perhaps a shield in his other hand, the elf a new bow and the dwarf a new axe and shield. Each part could represent a special item found on a quest or an advancement of the character.
Statuesque Miniatures is pleased to announce the release of the a couple more accessory sprues for the Resistance Fighter range.
The Veteran Heads sprue can be used to give more individuality and character to your Resistance Fighter force. As with all the head sprues, these heads can be used on any figure in the Reistance Fighter range and a fully poseable.
The Weapons 3 sprue allows the Resistance Fighters access to the latest S.O.E. weapon technology. Featuring three Combi-Rifles with integrated grenade launchers and a deadly flame thrower, this sprue is designed for use with the Resistance Fighters, Resistance Cell Officer and Resistance Recon sets. For greater conversion potential, these weapons have the stocks attached. Simply snip off the stock to use the guns with the Resistance Fighter figures.
For a limited time only you can get BOTH these sprues FREE when you purchase the Resistance Cell set, saving over 15% on the combined price! This offer will run until January 5th or while stocks last.
Not only that, you can also purchase 5 sets of Beret Heads or 5 sets of Officer Weapons for only £5, with even more savings for purchasing multiple sets! Again this offer runs until 5th of January or while stocks last.
Finally, Ezmeralda Tyke have come over all Christmasy (she is an elf after all) and can be purchased at a price of only £3! Get her while you can as she is being discontinued once stocks run out.
Sorry Skarsol, the castings only arrived yesterday and I had to get them assembled and photographed before I could get them on sale.

Did I miss an announcement about a release on the heroic scale heads?
I do quite enjoy doing different hairdos. The heroic heads are next in the production queue. There's quite a backlog but I'm trying to get through it as quickly as possible.
I love the patch w/ beret and the peaked cap. They are great for characters. I also love the implied ethic diversity, especially in the hair. Those guns are also beautiful in their simplicity and functionality. Would the heads and guns fit on WGF women or Russians?
Put my order in, and it's already marked as being shipped. Very quick turn around. Looking forward to receiving it here in Australia. I think these will be excellent for my Ariadna Khazak force. All female force, go!
No probs. Thanks for the order. Pics expected when the all female force is done!
A couple of folk who ordered between Christmas and New Year had to wait a bit longer than I'd like for their orders to be posted - I had to make an unscheduled trip to the DIY store in order to fix some walls. On the plus side, I can now plaster a lath wall! Level up man skills.
A big box has arrived from across the Atlantic and all the Pulp Alley products have now been restocked.
I know a few people have been waiting on the Fortune Deck so now is your chance. I don't imagine we'll sell out quite as quickly as before but best be sure and make an order now!
The Fembot master castings I just sent away were very nice, so I'm confident the production castings will be up to scratch. Then I just need people to buy them - lots of them - to cover the vast amount of money I've poured into getting them to production!
Just received my package today. I have to say that these are some of the best miniatures I have ever received. Detail is crisp and clear, minimal mold lines, and all the metal is super smooth across the miniatures. An absolutely superb product, and even better, they scale well with the Sedition Wars females allowing for easy head-swaps and body conversions across the range, allowing me to make a ton of cheap Infinity miniatures that are detailed and even more important, to scale!
Thanks so much for making these mate, they are fantastic. Just one wish though, any chance of making a few bodies that are able to have the women sighting down the guns? Crouched and standing stances would be great. I think I might be able to achieve that with the Resistance Recon team, but I really want to make them as a Doctor and a Sniper.
Cheers mate! When I get these done up I will post pics to the thread.
Also, played my first game of Pulp Alley last night, didn't have all the rules down so there was some page-flipping, but all-in-all a lot of fun. I am really looking forward to see what you come up with for figures...
BTW, do you happen to know the source of the "Singapore Smith" model shown in the photo on page 5 of the rulebook? I have asked the designers via email and facebook but no response.
@Fenriswolf: I'm glad you like them and thanks for the kind words. Much appreciated. I plan to add more Resistance Fighters in the future and 'aiming' figures would be a good idea. I'd likely have to modify the hands on the guns a bit so they might not work with all the weapon options but I'll see what I can come up with.
@Hdbbstephen: It's good fun, isn't it! I'm working on more Pulp Alley figures at the moment. Lots of fun ideas.
And yeah, it's likely to cause you problems with the hand placement. I found that out when I looked at the hands for Lily of the Resistance. Her left hand comes out further than the regular gun hands do, so you'd need to do a bit of sculpting to give her any kind of different gun.
If you're looking for inspiration though, some of the Infinity sculpts for their troops sighting down the barrel are well done. Problem is that they have the luxury of making a lot of their stuff one-piece.
See what you can try, would be great to have some snipers in a "I'm gonna shoot you" pose rather than looking off elsewhere (looking at you Infinity and Sedition Wars).
Edit: Another item you could market at the same time is things like your RPG launcher as part of a weapons pack. If you have them able to be aimed much the same as the shoulder fired rifle (so I am guessing a separate arm cocked to put it over the shoulder, aiming along it's length), that would also be great. Your current one on Eva is nice, but would be cool to have that and a few other heavy weapons available as a pack. Additional items could be a multiple grenade launcher like this, an additional HMGlike a PKM which is similar to yours but with a box magazine. I am trying to think what else would be useful, but that's pretty good for a start. If you want to take those ideas on board that is
In agreement with Fenriswulf about the aiming. I've bought at least one of each of the ladies, and a few twice, but really, I would just be happy seeing anything new for them.
I've been beavering away at magnetizing the heads so I could swap them around. They're all so gorgeous I just can't commit to permanently gluing on one single head!
This offer will run until the 9th of February or while stocks last so don't delay in picking yourself up a Fembot bargain!
Also released this month is the Heroic Scale Female Head set. Featuring ten female heads, this set is designed to allow you to convert your heroic scale figures. The set of ten heads is priced at £4.75.
Thanks,
Andrew Rae
(there you go Orlando. Took a while but there was a lot to do! )
Yeah, We've found some alternative robotic minions.....
Picked up a few and some others.... Good looking figures.
Wasn't there a HITMAN type figure available? Do you all still have him in the site somewhere?
Thanks for the order.
The hitman would have been Inigo Wilde. I sold him, along with a couple of other figures including the original Mei-Lin, to Antenociti's Workshop.
Sales have been going really well (thanks everyone!) to the extent that I'll need to put in a restock order tomorrow with the casters. Don't worry- all orders taken have been for product in stock, but it does mean the Fembots might go out of stock shortly. I've sold what would normally be a few months worth of stock in the course of a weekend...
Which is good, obviously, but I do wish I'd ordered more initial stock. It's just so hard to judge how well things will sell!
I don't know how I missed these before. Just read through this post and my iPad seemed to magically order a (large) handful of resistance fighters. Really nicely done work.
They're "statureque", as in their preportions are 1/48th - 28mm-ish, but they stand pretty tall, standing about the height of a Games Workshop model. This is the Commissar standing beside two Wargames Factory Russians, and a Perry American Civil War Cavalryman (anyone wanting better scale shots with that model just ask).
The Fembots did indeed go out of stock and a restock order has been placed with the caster. I'd hope for no more than a two week turnaround. Mei-Lin and the Heroic Scale Heads are still available.
All the sci-fi figures are of a consistent scale/size and are definitely not 'heroic scale'. If I were to call them a scale, they'd be around 1/56 but they're not scale models as various bits and pieces are distorted. 32mm tall (to the top of the head) is the average size of the figures.
The Heroic Scale Heads are, of course, heroic scale and are bigger than the heads used in the sci-fi range. I realised I actually used master castings in the comparison picture with the heads linked to above. The production castings are a teeny tiny bit smaller- only actually noticeable when you have master and production castings side by side. I'll update the photo when I get chance.
Just to keep everyone on their toes, my forthcoming fantasy range is very much heroic scale, as should be obvious by the photos. They're chunky ol' figures. And the forthcoming Pulp Alley and Pulp Horror range is slightly chunkier than the sci-fi range, but still not heroic scale. Think Copplestone scale. But the difference between the pulp and sci-fi figures is negligible.
@Siygess: I might add another sprue of 'unadorned' heads to the resistance fighter range, but it's not in the immediate plans. The Heroic Scale Heads are all enlarged variations of heads from across the resistance fighter range, with hairdos swapped around and altered.
SavageRobby wrote: I don't know how I missed these before. Just read through this post and my iPad seemed to magically order a (large) handful of resistance fighters. Really nicely done work.
Received my order last night. Pretty quick for zipping across the pond.
Initial impressions is: wow! First, the packaging was impressive. Each SKU was bubble-wrapped, as were the additional sprues that came with. Really nice attention to detail there.
Then the miniatures themselves are great. The sculpts are excellent (as pictured), the casts are super-clean - no blemishes, very little flash. The head/gun sprues are arranged intelligently so that detaching doesn't leave an ugly scar (or an out-of-place smooth spot) in the wrong place.
I assembled a few of them last night, and was really pleased.
Shows how well their miniatures turn out. Statuesque, any chance of some scout/recon types? I also like the coats on the two leader types, but having others with them would also be great. Could make a great crew of miniatures. And, once again, please please please see if you can't work in some sculpts where the women are aiming. I am working on converting yours, but being that they're all in metal it's not easy.
How do those heads size up with Crooked Dice's Shiva forces?
Wouldn't mind putting together around thirty or so different ones for a Fem-force five, Pussy Galor's flying circus, or some sort of superspy group or something. Some with berets, some with the hair, some bald, maybe a bunch of the drone fembots, to name a few.
I tried out a fit on Crooked Dice's Daredevils a second ago and they look fine. The Statuesque heads are the same size as the Crooked Dice ones, as do the models seem to be of the same height and overall build.
Mei-Lin and the Fembots will of course be available individually long term, assuming I can keep them in stock...
Also on offer is Commissar Vespera Venko, done to £4.50 from £4.95 - great for keeping your Resistance Fighters in line!
And finally, the Weapons 3 sprue is available as a Multi-Buy deal - five sprues for only £7 - a great way to arm your Resistance Fighters en mass with the latest weapon technology.
Both these offer run until Sunday the 2nd of March, but remember the Fembot deal only runs until Monday or while stocks last.
How are your Faceless Oppressor's coming? Wouldn't mind getting my hands on a few of those depending on how they come out. Will definitely want Assault Rifles for them as they be proxied as Infinity Ariadna Tankhunters because the Infinity ones are not looking so hot. I really need a grenade launcher type which doesn't look completely ridiculous to proxy as an adhesive launcher, so will be eagerly awaiting your new designs and the things that come with them.
Glad to hear you'll be also having a heavy weapons sprue to go with them. Will be able to make a bunch of different guys that way. Not sure how bulky the guys will be, but I can always add armour padding to them to bulk them out if I need to. Alternatively if you really wanted you could make female versions of these dudes and this guy and save me the hassle, lol
I think I'll be going for Emilia and Poppy to convert a little, put a flak vest and some packs, converting them to female Zouaves for Infinity. I'd like an all female force if I can get it, but I am not sure how much of a reality that will be.
In a shameless bit of self promotion, I've updated the Statuesque Social Media Extravaganza! I want to reach as many potential customers as possible to help Statuesque Miniatures grow. I've upped the prizes and added another draw for Newsletter subscribers. In all, there are four chances to win for each punter!
Facebook just cracked 800 Likes and the draw will happen at 1000 Likes so we're getting there. The other media are falling behind a bit but like Rosa of the Resistance says:
@Fenriswolf: The Faceless Oppressors are currently on the back burner while I get the Pulp Alley and Fantasy ranges going. They need a bit more work and my muse was telling me to sculpt chunky barbarians and Pulp adventurers. They're still part of the plan however, as the Resistance Fighters need some opposition.
Cool stuff mate! I've entered on all 4 parts (was already following you on facebook and twitter), so I hope to win the 75 pound prize so I can get a bunch more of your stuff!
Unfortunately in my game tonight my poor Statuesque Kazaks were all but obliterated by a hideous Combined Army Avatar. Didn't have a chance, poor lasses. Still loving the mini's though, and I try to talk them up as often as possible. I think if you offered some more alternatives to the Infinity range (units which aren't as well represented), you'd do really well. Just something to consider *cough*FemaleTankHunters*cough*
Yeah the heads are great got 2 of them. The inmates are great as well please tell me your doing doctors/scientists it's really hard to find them in this scale (well ones I like that is).
Thanks for posting the vid, Orlando. It would've taken me a while to work out how!
DaveC wrote: Yeah the heads are great got 2 of them. The inmates are great as well please tell me your doing doctors/scientists it's really hard to find them in this scale (well ones I like that is).
A certain Dr Strukov, mentioned in the video, will be making an appearance in due course.
That video was pretty neat... I have yet to dip into Statuesque, but it's been on my want list for ages. So many great characterful sculpts.
@Andrew: I have noticed that you do a discount for buying more than one of each. I'd be more interested in getting one of each It would be awesome with a general discount that comes into play if you buy for a certain amount instead of certain figures.
I am a bit bummed I missed out on the old Mei-Lin sculpt. She would have been perfect for a Ghost in the Shell dio I've had in my head for far too many years. I've been collecting different swat and street gangers and what not for the day I decide I've got what I need to make it. I am actually only missing a Motoko. :\
Statuesque Miniatures and Pulp Alley are pleased to announce the first releases from our new joint Pulp Alley Miniatures range.
First out of the blocks are Pulp Girl and Phantom Ace, two daring pulp heroes ready to fight villainy wherever it raises its head. As a special pre-order launch deal, Pulp Girl and Phantom Ace are available for only £7/ $11.75 for the pair.
Also available from both sides of the Atlantic is Lillie Poots. Bravely venturing in the the darkness armed only with her grandmother's lantern, Lillie has a starring role in Statuesque Miniatures' new Statuesque Asylum pulp horror range.
Escaping through the gates of Statuesque Asylum are the Frothing Loonies! These crazed individuals are the unfortunate victims of Dr Strukov's nefarious surgical experiments and they roam the wards and grounds of Statuesque Asylum, a danger to all they meet.
The Frothing Loonies are priced at £10.50 for three figures with six, poseable head options for greater variety, and are available from the Statuesque Miniatures webshop.
Please note all the new releases are pre-orders and will not be shipped before the 3rd of March 2014. All limited offers run until 3rd of March or while stocks last.
@Basement Dweller: Unfortunately, discounts for basket value aren't something we can offer at this time. The original Mei-Lin is now available from Antenociti's Workshop.

waaah on the first one and YAY! on the second. Although that means spending more cash as Antenociti has some awesome stuff too... It's almost set up like a conspiracy against my wallet.
Lillie Poots and the loons are all kinds of awesome...
Thanks to those who have ordered so far. I ended up posting pre-orders early as I realised I would be spending all day in the Post Office on Monday if I didn't. The pensioners wouldn't stand for me holding them up for so long!
“Our four adventurers stand on the shore of the Windswept Isle, the quest ahead of them made plain by the midden pile of human bones outside the entrance to the Trowie Howe. Locals had spoken of a great evil having taken over the Howe but also of great treasure, reason enough to brave the dank darkness...”
Statuesque Miniatures is pleased to announce a special Pre-Order Deal for the first releases from our new Statuesque Fantasy range of heroic adventurers. Featuring all four adventurers – Oorik the Barbarian, Misanter the Elf, Gomeril the Wizard and Lowri Lowrisson the Dwarf – this deal can be had for only £19, a price not to be repeated when the figures are on general release. There are discounts for multiple purchases too!
Unashamedly 'heroic scale', these figures are available with the super special Retro Rectangular resin bases supplied by Zealot Miniatures for that proper dungeoneering look.
Master castings of the figures arrived back with the mould maker on the 28th of March, with delivery of production castings to Statuesque Miniatures expected within 2-4 weeks. The final retail price for the figures, which will be available individually upon general release, has not been set. However, due to the weight and size of the figures, it is safe to say the retail price will be much higher than this Pre-Order Deal. The number of castings for the Pre-Order is limited and the offer will run only until production castings have been delivered or while stocks last.
I thought I'd share this lovely version of Lowri Lowrisson, painted by Andy Wedmore of Belly Miniatures. I've commissioned him to paint all four adventurers and I'm very happy with the first results!
Statuesque Miniatures is pleased to announce the full release of our four Fantasy Adventurers, along with a Pre-Order deal for the next Pulp Alley expansion: Pulp Gadgets, Guns and Vehicles!
This thrilling expansion provides rules for BIG guns, strange gadgets, riding mounts, vehicles, custom modifications and much, much more. From dog-sleds to flying characters, and from aeroplanes to colossal walking robots, the Pulp Gadgets, Guns and Vehicles book makes it fast and easy to add even more excitement to your Pulp Alley scenarios.
The Pulp Gadgets, Guns and Vehicles book is available at a special reduced Pre-Order price of £10.50, saving over 15% on the regular price. This offer runs until May 18th with an expected shipping date of May 19th.
The Pulp Gadgets, Guns and Vehicles shipment (just books not any gadgets, guns or vehicles sadly) arrived at Statuesque Asylum this morning so all Pre-Orders will be posted on Monday as promised.
Don't forget tomorrow is the last day to grab the Pre-Order deals on both sides of the Atlantic, from Pulp Alley in the US and Statuesque Miniatures in the UK.
All in all, not including heads that come with bodies, there were 2796 heads in the restock. Hopefully I can keep them in stock this time!
A week or so ago I wrote a blog post about the different scales (including head sizes) that I'm working to for the three different Statuesque ranges: Sci-fi, Pulp and Fantasy. You can read it HERE.
Damn, I didn't even know you had a face (ignorantly like). Have a like from me.
I may just pick up some of those heads. I didn't with my last order and now I'm running short on female heads dumbly. And odd request perhaps, but is there any prospects for heads without hair? I mean Its probably a little out there to ask for ones with a punk look to them given the Resistance's aesthetic , but at least with balled ones its easier to just sculpt on some hair myself.
Anyway, its good to see news from you. Hopefully you'll be posting some new toys soon enough here. ^^
@Javin: Heroic scale beret heads will be next on the head list. I think I'll probably use the military style beret rather than the resistance style as that seems more in keeping with what the heads will get used for.
@Wyrmalla: Thanks for the Like. Bald heads are a possibility, probably in both sizes. Just need to sit down and get it done!
New toys will be along shortly. Production has been taking ages due to the casters work load (mostly down to Salute I think) but things are speeding up now thankfully.
Featuring the little girl Lillie Poots and two sets of Frothing Loonies, this special offer is priced at £21, saving you £2 over buying the items separately.
Hi folks. David at Pulp Alley has shown pictures of the next Pulp Alley Miniatures pack - Captain Wolf and Minerva. As with Phantom Ace and Pulp Girl, these figures will be available from both Statuesque Miniatures in Europe and Pulp Alley in the US. We're hoping to have the Pre-Order start on the 1st of July.

The masters have been sent to the caster for our Pulp Alley Miniatures, Pack #2 -- Captain Wolf and Minerva...
Sculpted by Andrew Rae, here are the new minis standing next to our Phantom Ace and Pulp Girl...
We're hoping to start shipping Pack #2 by July 26th [Europe will be a bit sooner], but we may start taking pre-orders as early as July 1st. You'll be able to buy these fine minis from the Pulp Alley online store or through Statuesque Miniatures ---
Statuesque Miniatures and Pulp Alley are pleased to announce we are taking Pre-Orders for our next Pulp figures: Captain Wolf and Minerva. Another pair of brave pulp heroes, these characters join Phantom Ace and Pulp Girl in the expanding Pulp Alley miniatures range.
Captain Wolf and Minerva are available for a Pre-Order price of only £6 for the pair, a saving of 20%!
Please note that any order containing a pre-order item will not be posted until that item is in stock, expected mid- to late July. These offers will run until 25th July 2014.
Damn it. I have been eyeing the Fembots since February, but have been able to hold back on ordering. That conversion has just pushed me over the edge. Gonna place an order now.
Thanks, BrookM. Thanks for helping me spend my money.

That is cool. Goes to show you don't need augmented breasts to pull off a good looking female miniature.
YorkNecromancer (who did the commissar conversion) also used the Heroic Scale Female Heads on some Cadians. There's a female Space Marine a few pages on, too!
Once Relic Knights hits the EU (oh so long to wait), I suspect I may be trying some head replacements on them as there are one or two that look pretty ropey
but whether I need your normal heads or the heroic ones for this I'll have to wait and see

And I'll wait for you to wait and see so that I can do the same!
I'm also interested in those normal-sized heads, for Malifaux and Infinity conversions. Infinity might be too delicate, even for these, but Malifaux ought to be the right scale/aesthetic.
All the heads in the Resistance Fighter Accessories category are 'non-heroic', so the Cracking Hairdo, Beret, Veterans, Gasmasks and Helmets. I handily labelled the heroic scale heads as 'Heroic Scale' in their name.
Oh ah Andrew, are there any plans to add more heroic scale head types to the range in the future? I'm really smitten by your beret and beanie heads, would love to see those gracing some of Victoria's Miniatures in the future as well.
BrookM wrote: Oh ah Andrew, are there any plans to add more heroic scale head types to the range in the future? I'm really smitten by your beret and beanie heads, would love to see those gracing some of Victoria's Miniatures in the future as well.
There will certainly be a beret sprue eventually, though I just had a set printed and realised I'd need to completely redo it as it wasn't up to standard. So it'll take a while!
Andrew Rae wrote: All the heads in the Resistance Fighter Accessories category are 'non-heroic', so the Cracking Hairdo, Beret, Veterans, Gasmasks and Helmets. I handily labelled the heroic scale heads as 'Heroic Scale' in their name.
They look fantastic, Andrew. If you get to the point of adding some of the other "non-heroic" styles of heads into heroic scale, I can see making an order for multiple packs. Veterans, berets, helmets (maybe some slightly more modern helmets that can fit modern and future forces a little better. I always used to google images of "female israeli soldiers" to illustrate this sort of thing, but the results there are now a little more ...mixed. Though the helmets on display (modern US-style Kevlar patterns) there still make the point.
I got my Heroic Scale Heads yesterday and they're just as impressive as all the other Statuesque models I have bought in the past.
I would dearly love a set of HS female arms as well so we have something a bit more slender than the ham fists on GW models. Ideally these would have sets with handle/rifle butts and open palms for Auto/lasguns and another set for pistols/swords (left and right hand versions too ).
Having recently been trying to convert a Necromunda Escher gang from a mix of Statuesque, Raging Heroes and GW minis arms, in particular the hand/wrist joint are the biggest problem. All of those ranges have very slender wrists and breakages in use on converted model are a right pain!
A set of female arms ready to accept a range of weapons would be a great boon.
Statuesque Miniatures is pleased to announce the release of a new Statuesque Fantasy Adventurer – Birsi Bearsson! A dwarf berserker of fearsome reputation, Birsi claims he was raised by a she-bear alongside her cubs. Few would dare question his account, even those who grew up with him.
Birsi Bearsson is available in two versions. First up is Birsi armed with twin axes, his favoured combo.
Each version is available at a special release price of only £4.25, saving over 10%.
Alternatively, you can purchase both versions together in the Birsi Bearsson Rising Special Offer for only £8, saving over 15% over the regular, separate purchase price.
Finally, why not pick up our other fantasy dwarf Lowri Lowrisson along with Birsi in the Dangerous Dwarves Deal? You can chose either version of Birsi alongside Lowri, or go for both versions for a three figure pack.
The Dangerous Dwarves Deal is priced at £8.25 to £12.25, again offering a saving over buying the items separately.
All these offers will run until the 14th of August or while stocks last so don't delay and grab yourself some dangerous dwarves!
Over the weekend I returned to work on the Resistance Fighter range for the first time in a long time. I've got no specific plans at the moment, rather I've been reworking the basic dolly that forms the basis for each figure. Don't worry, I won't be changing the scale or proportions of the range; I'm just tidying things up as well as making an easier model to pose and alter.
The range currently consists of 13 unique models plus lots of different head and weapon options that are interchangeable between the figures. More variety is always a good thing though I'd also like any new figures to serve an particular purpose or theme while still working with the rest of the range as a whole. For example, the Resistance Recon Team has a defined role and adds flavour but matches the regular Resistance Fighters nicely.
For the new figures, I'm considering not using the interchangeable weapons, neither those that fit the Resistance Fighters nor the Officer Weapons. This would allow me more freedom for poses and design. As such, I feel some kind of specialist unit would be appropriate. Of course, these figures would still use various heads from the Resistance Fighter Accessories range and alternative weapons could be added, just following a different format.
Oh, I do have one concrete idea: I'd like to update Bella the Partisan, one of the first figures released from Statuesque Miniatures and the inspiration behind the Resistance.
So what would you like to see added to the range? Comment below and let me know! I know Fenriswolf is after some aiming figures so I'll have to make sure to include some of those.
I've finished the Beret Heroic Head sprue, just need to print and then get it into production. But these things take time. At the moment, a very long time due to the workload with the mouldmakers. The restock of the current heroic heads is due soon, sometime mid-August.
@Orlando: I think I've got an idea for a figure pack that could include molotov cocktails.
Andrew, I'd like to hear a bit about what you envisioned when you made the resistance. Who do they resist? What time period do they belong to? Are they in a city? Etc.
I have them all as I like them so much- but I don't know what kind of game I'd even use them in
@BrookM: My preference would be this: Though 7tv is good fun too.
@Dr Mathias: As I've mentioned before, the background to the Resistance and the whole Statuesque Sci-fi 'world' is a bit vague... It's near-future, certainly. The Resistance are resisting the Faceless Oppressors (a catch all name for oppressive regimes of all persuasions and they will eventually appear as miniatures). I imagine them as being city bases, some continental European city. All in all they're just an excuse for B-movie silliness.
As for games, surely any setting can have a band of all-female sci-fi Resistance fighters shoehorned into it? Surely...
Since I know a lot of people have been waiting on them, I thought I'd post a quick note to say the Heroic Scale Female Heads are now back in stock and available to order again.
Andrew Rae wrote: Since I know a lot of people have been waiting on them, I thought I'd post a quick note to say the Heroic Scale Female Heads are now back in stock and available to order again.
Love these ^ - any plans to extend your female heroic range?

Any chance of some bystanders, terrified civilians and interviewees to go with Tallulah Caine and Carter? I'm seeing lots of crossover potential for 7TV, Infinity, Anima Tactics and the like – plus some great potential for that lovely posing your miniatures have.
Basically, a few unarmed miniatures (male and female) in the same sort of poses as Fowell, Poppy and Tumbleworth. Some vaguely scientist/doctor/technician labcoats would mean they'd fit in in a load of places, as both game and diorama pieces. Terrified/disbelieving scientists are a classic B-Movie trope ('What have I wrought?'), and would be fun for everything from The Blob to Godzilla.
Andrew was asked for 'civilian' figures when he aked what we wanted to see added to the Resistance Girls line, and said he had some ideas for them and would nudge them up the production queue
Yeah Heroic Scale Heads with berets are coming down the line. I'm just getting quotes for the printing now. I did have some printed but realised my work wasn't up to scratch (the prints were fine) so went back and altered the files. As said before it will take a few months at the current production rate but they are coming. I'll be making more varieties as time goes on too.
Regarding civilians, they've actually become more viable with the forthcoming Pulp Alley expansion Vice Alley which will have rules for bystanders apparently. I've long had an idea for a set of figures called Pavement Artists. I've you've read any John Le Carre, you'll know what I'm on about.
Wrote this on your Facebook page, but bears repeating here and expanding on my ideas. I use your Resistance Fighters for Infinity and they are excellent. This is just a wish list at the moment, not a demand or anything
Sniper crouching behind terrain with a sniper rifle perched on it either with a bipod or on it by itself, aiming down the sight. A sniper weapon which is like a Russian SVD sniper rifle, but in your own particular style would be great for such figures. I know you have two sniper weapons available at the moment (the one on the sprue and Lila's), but another longer version would also be great.
Female figures which are slightly heavier armoured would be good - dressed in fatigues with combat boots, body armour, webbing and PASGT helmets would rock, similar to the Infinity Ariadna Zouaves, only female. You do have a sniper-eque miniature hiding in rubble at the moment, but she is a bit lightly armoured to be a heavier troop type. Backpacks to go with them would be great too. In fact some extra backpack styles or add-ons which can be used to customise your miniatures would be great.
Perhaps some in hazmat suits with or without flame-throwers. Respirator heads have kind of been covered, but perhaps a full body suit would be good. I need some for stand in Chasseur's for Ariadna Infinity
Ones with cloaks or smocks as scouts or ambush types. Could possibly have it as an add on pack for cloaks or the like, though I think sculpted on the actual miniature is a better idea.
Medics, engineers and other similar style ones would be great, with kit bags and accessories to accompany the same, or be able to be added on to existing miniatures.
A machine gun which is like the M249 or other squad support weapon perhaps. Keep it thin and to scale if you can, the Infinity ones are massive for what they should actually be like, and are a tad silly to look at. Other weapon styles would also be fantastic as well, anywhere from different HMG's, bolt action sniper rifles, more modern style SMG's, heavier rocket/missile launchers etc. Oh and if you wanted to make some stuff we could use to customise your weapons with such as red dot sights, scopes, telescopic sights, IR laser designators etc, I wouldn't be unhappy with that either.
A larger style grenade launcher than the break action one you have currently, with rotating ammo cylinder feed, much like the Russian RG-6 or 6G30 as it's known. Again, don't go too big, the reason I love your stuff so much is because of how much more in scale it is than anything else.
Motorcycles. Something akin to this one here would be awesome. I know you did the G.O.T. hover bikes, and they are fantastic, but something similar would be great. Oh and fully enclosed helmeted heads for the same would rule.
Some PASGT style helmeted heads, or similar would be great. I know I keep beating a dead horse over this, but if you were to make male and female versions of these I would be over the moon happy!
All good stuff for the melting pot, thanks Fenriswolf.
Now for a special offer!
For a limited time only, the Mei-Lin Mayfair and the Hong Kong Killer Fembots Special Offer is avaiable again! Priced at only £21, this deal comprises of Mei-Lin Mayfair 2.0 and two sets of Hong Kong Killer Fembots, offering a saving of £3.25 over buying the items separately.
This offer will run until Sunday the 14th of September or while stocks last. Be warned, stock is very limited for this offer so don't miss out and grab them now!
In other news, I received the prints for some very special ladies this week...
Female Frothing Loonies! They're still a few months from release but everyone like a wee sneak preview don't they? The bodies follow the same pattern as the male Loonies with hospital gowns and (not very effective) arm restraints. And I know these aren't the heroic scale female heads many really want to see but don't worry those are coming too!
Finally, as the special offer early in September sold out very quickly (before many people had even spotted it!), the Mei-Lin Mayfair and the Hong Kong Killer Fembot deal has returned at Statuesque Miniatures following a restock. Available for only £21, this special offer saves you £3.25. However, stock is still very limited so grab them now before they're gone!
All offers will run until 15th of October 2014. Please note that any orders containing a pre-order item will not be posted before the 15th of October.
I hope you take on my idea for making some more weapons and the like, as well as for making some Ariadna Chasseur stand-in's for Infinity, as the market is really crying out for an alternative at this stage.
I have been repping your store online for Infinity at quite a few places, so I hope you get some more sales from that, anything I can do to keep sales heading your way.
Also, any news on the draw for Facebook? You were going to put names in a hat and pick one at random?
@Fenriswulf: More Resistance Fighters are definitely on their way. If might take a while, but I'm working on them. And thanks for the pimping, much appreciated! The Facebook draw has happened, there's a video on the Facebook page. Couldn't find a hat so had to use an old pot...
Statuesque miniatures will be used to make Chasseurs (most likely both Recon troops will be modified to have sniper rifles or regular carbines, as well as Lila and Eva, with one of them using Lila's sniper rifle to represent an AP sniper rifle), and use the other styles line Metros (most likely the standing versions). The Resistance Cell officers will be made into 112 Emergency Service or Dozer Engineers, or perhaps Margot from the Mirage-5 team.
The Infinity Metros will be used to make the Inf. Infiltration / Ltd. Camo models, that way I can cover both bases nicely and have unique troops for both. The HMG Metro will be converted to have something else, probably just a rifle or possibly a D.E.P. (or the combi-rifle with grenade launcher that SM has), which would work nicely. They will also have their honkingly huge weapons cut away and have them replaced with the Statuesque carbine rifles, where as the SM Resistance Fighters will likely have the bigger versions (the one in the middle here will be their main gun, as well as possibly the LMG versions they have with the bipod.
I will also be using the guns for my Para-comandos and Briscards (both of which will be made using both Prodos Capitol troops and their AVP Weyland-Yuitani Commandos). The Para's will likely have the bigger AK style guns with a scratch built folding stock, the AK styled Sniper Rifle, and perhaps a few carbines here and there. Briscards will get the Recon Team weapons with the scopes, as this suits them better as Marksman rifles.
Andrew, another useful thing would be to have hand options for your miniatures, ones which aren't molded onto the guns. You could have some on a vertical fore-grip, an open hand, one which is pointing or giving a signal. I know you need a lot of your guns to have the hands pre-molded onto the design, but if you're able to make designs down the track which don't, that would be really helpful when making conversions. The ones where the gun is held in only one hand isn't so bad, but I just hate the chance of filing away too much stuff and having the gun look weird at the end of it.
Andrew, not sure if I asked this question before - Would you consider making some of your guns without hands or arms molded to them?
The reason I ask is I love your weapon designs, but to add them to existing miniatures I have for Infinity (yours are a much better scale for them IMHO), I need to remove the arms/hands or file them off, which is damaging the look of the weapons as I don't always get it right. I know for some of them you need them held in a specific way, but being able to get some of your guns (Lila's sniper rifle is fantastic, and I wish I could get that separately, but without the bipod and with the barrel more in line with the ejection port) as separate full weapons so I can add them a little easier to my mini's.
I know you're just a one man operation, but it's something I hope you're considering for sculpts down the track. I often want to add one of your small carbine assault rifles to my guys attached to their backpacks, but need to hunt around for a handgrip and trigger guard and trigger to make it look proper.
Just an idea, amongst the wishlist of lots of other ideas
Your stuff is awesome dude. I hope to be able to preview some conversions and the like I have done with your stuff soon.
Vice Alley is a thrilling Pulp Alley expansion that introduces two new character types (Gangs and Associates), ten new perks, over two dozen new abilities, and rules for Bystanders. Vice Alley also includes a thrilling multi-chapter campaign designed to play just like the old pulp magazine and serial adventures.
The Vice Alley book is available at a Pre-Order price of only £11, saving over 10%.
Inspired by the most ancient of secret societies, Pact of the Oginali Booster Pack brings 10 fun new Fortune cards and 5 new Reward cards to your Pulp Alley gamers. Printed on premium 310gsm plastic coated (linen) to closely match the high quality printed Fortune Decks.
Both offers will run until 18th of November 2014. Please note that any orders containing a pre-order item will not be posted before that item is in stock at Statuesque, expected mid-November. For updates, visit the Statuesque Miniatures website or Facebook page.
@Fenriswulf: Guns are possible, but not a priority at the moment. The guns I currently sell are vastly outsold by the heads (bloody shared mould!) so heads are the priority for the time being. That said, weapons without hands might sell better as they would be more multipurpose, so it something I'll have a look at.
Comprising of three figures with a choice of six interchangeable, poseable heads, the Female Frothing Loonies are available at a new release special offer price of only £9, saving 10%.
Additionally, you can now get the Female Loonies along with their male counterparts in the Frothing Loony Ward deal. As a new release special offer, this six figure set is priced at £18, saving 10% over buying the items separately at full price.
And don't forget, you can save up to £1.50 per set when you purchase multiple Frothing Loony sets.
Both offers will run until 31st December 2014 or while stocks last. We are also now into the Christmas postal rush, so please be aware your order may take longer to arrive than usual. The Royal Mail Christmas posting dates can be found HERE.
Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a good Hogmanay and you aren't too bleary eyed today.
To celebrate the New Year, all the Resistance Fighter figures are now between 10 and 20% off full price. So if you've had a hankering for an all-female band of brave freedom fighters, including heroines of the Resistance Rosa, Lila and Eva, now is the time to grab them.
This offer will run until the 31st of January or while stocks last, so don't miss out!
Saw mention that the heroic beret heads won't be all that long now, great news, really looking forward to those something fierce, especially with a new squad of Arcadians on the way.
@ Fenriswolf: I've been posing a few new Resistance Fighters. Still a long way off, and done in between other things, but I am working on them.
The restock has arrived!
I know a lot of people have been patiently waiting for the Heroic Scale Female Heads to be back in stock and now they're finally here. Loads of 'em.
Also included in this batch from the caster were the master castings for yet more heroic scale heads, this time sporting fetching berets. I'll be checking them over this week and sending the castings back for production moulding, so these sprues should finally be on sale in a few weeks time. I know quite a few people have also been waiting for these heads so I can't wait to get them on sale.
Not only that, another set of heroic scale heads are making their way through production. Themed along the lines of the Resistance Fighter Veteran Heads, these sprues includes heads with sunglasses, an eye patch, a cigar, officer caps... Perfect for adding unique characters to your heroic scale troops. Hopefully, they'll be ready for sale in a couple of months.
Finally, the Resistance Fighter Sale still has a few days left to run, so don't miss out on the chance to start your own cell at a great price!
But don't worry, more have been ordered (loads and loads more) and the good news is that the restock will arrive along with the castings for the new Heroic Scale beret heads. The production mould has been made and it's in the queue for casting.
Can't wait for the beret heads to pop up, I've got a squad of Victorian Guard awaiting these since December.
I am waiting on those heroic heads as well does anyone have a scale shot of the loonies next to a heroic scale human sized model for reference please ?

Here you go:
Hope that helps.
Edit: Forgot to say, the Heroic Scale Female Heads sold rather quicker than expected (3 months stock in 3 weeks) so as BrookM has quoted above, they'll be restocked hopefully by the end of February, when the long awaited Heroic Scale beret heads will also be released.
I think the GW head in the helmet gets a pass.. Every helmet I wore in the military or for other purposes was bulky.. very bulky. It's plausible that there's a correctly proportioned head floating about in that vast quantity of helmet.
What I can't fathom though is the Elephantiasis of the hands and feet that GW feels compelled towards. I suppose over-sized hands and feet are necessary though when wielding such massive weaponry.

Cheers mate that's brilliant they work quite well actually in comparison, might have to pick some of these up at the same time as the heroic heads then thanks again
I received an update from the casters regarding the restock of Heroic Scale Head and the new Heroic Scale Beret Heads. The restock should be dispatched by the end of next week, meaning I should receive it by the 10th of March. That's a bit later than I expected but they are coming!
should be good news for quite a few folk making not-sisters and similar

This is starting to remind me of an episode of Hetalia.
I won't have a bad word said about the name Melvin!

Place your bets people
Well, remember how I'd said (what used to be) three months worth of stock sold in three weeks? That much sold in less than 24 hours...
But there's plenty still left! And I don't think the rush will continue quite so strongly, after all a lot of people had been waiting for the restock.
However, I think I'll order some more on Monday regardless...

Weeeelll, after the first adventurers sold really well at pre-order, sales have died off significantly. Sales of the dwarf berzerker were very poor too. As such, it's difficult for me to justify the time and expense of adding to the range. However, it's a range and style very close to my heart so I can see myself adding to it in time. And it's always the case that adding to a range boosts sales of older figures so it could be worthwhile after all.
Glad I got my 2 sets ordered quickly and hope to see more added in the near future, I will say all your miniatures hold a high quality to them and crammed with detail.
As for the Fantasy range I would like to add the dwarf to my collection at some point, he does so remind me of the characters from the Vikings game
If they ever bring back a militia-type entry to the SoB codex (ah! fat chance!), I am totally re-assigning those beauties from Infinity to 40K.
I have 40 more Valkir incoming, I ought to buy a few more sets. Andrew, do you know how many sets of heads fit into the basic postal fee before you need to increase it?

It's a flat-rate postal charge so you can order as many as you want, you won't be charged any more for postage.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Well, here's a command squad veteran with a spare Volkite Charger. I'm going to have a lot of fun with these heads and the Victorian Guard.

I wish to see your female army one day in all it's glory brook
Is there any size comparison images between the regular and heroic scale heads? Your regular range doesn't seem to have much new in it, so I'm wondering if the heroic scale heads would do for say Wargames Factory's models? I've found that the regular heads can be a bit titchy as well (well it varies based on what model they're attached to, and obviously there are less realistically scaled ones), so it would be nice to see how much larger the heroic ones are and if they would suit my models more.
The Wargames Factory zombie survivor plastics? I did a quick comparison between a sprue of those and both heroic and realistic scaled heads by Statuesque and yeah man, they're just in between them.
The regular heads seem to be geared at realistically scaled 28mm/ 25mm, whilst most 28mm models are fairly chunky. They'd do for Empress models I suppose, just a pity then that they don't many female models (though thinking about I could just stick these heads on Empress male models).
Just thought I would throw this in here. I received my order of 1 set of Heroic Scale Female Beret Heads and Non Female Beret Heads yesterday. Coincidentally I was also in the process of building a couple of Scions for my game tonight.
The only thing I needed to do was leave a small ball of green stuff in the neck cavity to make sure the head sits at the same level as the normal Scion head. Oh and leave a stub of the metal sprue as well. I will be making the other 8 up using the rest of the heads. Will post the pics in hear if anyone is interested.
I am going to be using the non beret heads for a set of Cadians. Plus I am thinking of grabbing a couple of boxes of Dreamforge Valkir to make a set of "Not Sisters of Battle".
