Did some work on the space marine Battlebarge and made a shot of my current SM fleet

Also tried Kingdom death Monster yesterday and i like it. set up takes some time, but the mechanics are well thought out.

Did some more painting on my next batch of kingdom death miniature and i put together the Kingdom death dung beetle miniature(s) i received Saturday

Well it was Golden week in Japan, so the first weekend there was a board-game weekend and i went 2 days of the 3, had a chance to play my kingdom death game doing the starting battle, got to kill the lion but one survivor died.
Did my second lantern year hunt, and in the end i had to use my founding stones to kill the lion because the last 2 ai card attacks was such an combination that i was constantly out of reach (the last hit was done by the survivor that was grabbed every other turn)

The week after that i went to Nagoyahammer and played a few bolt action game and got my ass kicked, i need mortars and Howitzers!

Started to paint the rawhide survivors and the Dung Beetle knight



And a Japanese colleague gave me the Popcorn bucket he bought at the Evangelion 4D show in Universal Studios Japan

Starting to get too hot to paint here in Japan but i did work on my Kingdom death rawhide survivors and put together a defiler, magnetized it and converter a separate upper body to use.

That Evangelion head is HUGE!

Not much to report, been in Michigan for the last 2 weeks, so no painting, went to Flatland games and bought 3 Dark Heresy books, Chaos Marauder card game and a metal space marine librarian, 6 more days and then it is back to Japan.

It is getting to hot in Japan to paint so here are a few things i am working on (Or maybe i am playing too much Witcher 3)

Left a Librarian i bought at Flatlands, with Dreamforge head and right a conversion of age of sigmar khorne upper body
and anvil industries legs and some gubbins to make Tellos of the Souldrinker Marines

Awesome. Both the Librarian and the Khorne dude look swell.

Went to the Jigg Kansai boardgame meet in Kobe, Got crushed in Star Wars Armada, The rules so opposite to BFG that i have difficulty to get a hang of it.

But i also did some painting

Bought a forgefiend from a friend and spent most of the weekend magnetizing it, i am thinking on how to connect the body to the base because
it seems the different versions poses are not the same. i am left over with 2 small flamer arms not sure how to use them.

Well,,,,,,some might say I am insane with that much production I have done so far.

Put the Burning of Prospero Custodes together and put the main colors on them, also converted my Sigmarine to a custodes with the leftover parts.

You've certainly been busy lately. I have to wonder, is it difficult getting this stuff in Japan? I don't think I've ever seen any game stores in the time I've been. Are these mostly bought online?

How id it that nobody has commented on the 40k doujin? I don't think I've ever seen a legit Japanese made 40k doujin before. What's it like? Mostly comedy?

Barzam, There is a shop in Osaka Namba Iconoclasm that has also other stuff than GW, also most other (Japanese) shops have online shops, so partly i buy online and partly i buy at my FLGS.
Haven't bought anything direct from a GW shop in ages.

They have but they are fiddly so i am paining them seperatly.

They are heads from Maxmini if i remember correctly, they fit more with the 1000sons style IMHO.

Some work done on the Dark age figures and Prodos Space Crusade figure, the 2 ladies in the back should be also Dark age but they seem to be OOP can't find nothing on the Dark Age site.

Nice, I really like the Dark Ages figures lots of character.

Check out kingdom death their stuff is really creepy, not realy useful for 40K although the monsters would make good chaos demons
Got a bunch genestealers with lots of parts want to use the lefr overs to make a small Tyranid fleet

I am noting how much larger scale the Kingdom Death minis seem, they could be larger Humans from a world that altered them as adaptation to environmental influences, or not sure how else to use them.

They are too big and their proportions are more realistic (except the pin up versions off course ). Maybe for AOS as the scale creep there is higher

Through an error on my part i scheduled a Kingdom death game on the same day as the Jigg Kobe boardgame meeting last Sunday :(

It was a fun game, the prologue went well and we killed the lion easily, the settlement phase i chose a "skill" that was not very good for the longevity of the Doomhaven village.
Anyway lost one of the first survivors in child birth, but the kid had some useful skills, then on our Hunt Event, 2 of our survivors died falling (or staying)
on a huge monster we encountered, and our shiny new breakable gear broke, so we had to fight another lion with only 2 survivors, we whittled it down to it last few wounds
then a "lucky" roll instantly killed me and my mate Ben had to face the White Lion alone, still he managed to kill the Lion so it toke the dead of 4 survivors,
one at the Settlement and 3 at the showdown to kill the Lion. still an enjoyable game
Also postscript - 4 more "survivors" committed suicide, and another died in childbirth.
I think we concluded that the remaining 4 survivors would be better off without our guidance.

Last Sunday i went to Star Wars Rogue One and it was good! Interesting characters, funny fanservice, liked it!

Didn't expect him to have a carrier so that bit me in the behind, but still a fun battle

Yeah the wargames factory shock trooper kit is a great versatile kit

Every time I swing by this thread, there's a ton of new stuff. I think you're the first person I've seen on here working on Konflikt stuff. I haven't really started my own yet. What did you think of the quality.

Quality of the resin figures and metal is good, not much done on the plastic figures as i have a bunch already, will use the ones from the starter set to make more exotic list choices.
Had to use green stuff on the prone arms as they seem not made to hold the tank gun.

Worked a little on the chaos marine, some greenstuff and the painting can begin

yeah not a fan that most nurgle marines look like Kermit the frog

It has been a while, working on Vanguard Novan fast cruiser with magnetized prow and Helian Assault Frigates

How did you find the Vanguard ships to work with and clean up? They have been on my radar for a while but I have been hesitant to pull the trigger.
