Donis's helmet's display flashes red warning of the damage he is taking. Calkir fires a few rounds into the Ork's back to fell the beast. Donis falls onto the ground flat against his back. His helmet comes off in two halves. A gash runs across his face marring his handsome features. The gash heals quickly but an unsightly scar is left behind. Kade's Sus-an Membrane kicks into action putting him into a state of suspended animation thanks to the Trauma he has suffered.

*Now, there's seemingly no Orks left alive in the building. Gitsplitta's still burning, and only a pair of Plasma Guns seemingly survived the harsh handling of the Orks, amongst many that's been looted.
And Crazygit's still hiding somewhere, keeping a keen eye on his Dread.*

Leo walks over to his Battle Brother. He extends his hand which the other Astartes grabs with a slight smile. Leo lifts Donis onto his feet, hands him his Bolter and pats the side of his head. "Worry not, Brother. I am sure your lover will find your countenance just as appealing", Leo says. "You will never let go of that, will you?", he asks. "Enough. This "witty" banter is unbecoming of an Astartes. Besides, we are still not done here", Calkir says. In his hands are the two working and unmodified Plasma Guns. He puts one in the hands of Leo and Donis. He also dumps a few extra power packs for the weapon that he collected from the dead Orks and their looted Plasma Guns. "With these we will do what should have been done 10,000 years ago", Calkir says.
"What of Brother-Sergeant Kade?". Donis asks. "Regretably I do not think we will be able to bring him back to Macragge. I say we give him the Emperor's peace", Calkir says. "NO! No.. I mean... Kade is our brother. He was in the same squad as us even when we were scouts. He has always been there to guide us in times of need. We have fought with him for over two centuries", Donis says. "I have as much disaste for the idea as you do, Brother Donis. But we have no means of extracting him without great risk to our person", Calkir says. "I agree, Brother Donis. We will avenge him later", Leo says. Donis looks down, frowns deeply and shakes his head. "Allow me to do it then". "Of course".
Brother Donis went over to the still body of Veteran Sergeant Kade. He removed his scarred Mk. 4 Helmet and set it aside. "Go with the Emperor, Defender of Macragge", Donis says. The Ultramarine pulls out his bolt pistol and, with a single shot, gives peace to the fallen Sergeant. He then places Kade's Bolter onto of his chest piece, folds his arms over the Boltgun and holds his head in silence. Leo walks over to Morris and does the same though with his Bolt Pistol. Calkir goes to pick up Kade's helmet. He hands it over to Brother Donis. "You are the squad's leader now, Battle Brother. Kade specified you when selecting the next in line to command the squad should he perish or be incapacitated", Calkir says. Donis dons Kade's helmet which quickly links up with the Ultramarine's Mk. 6 power armor. "Let us go to the Space Port. We will allow the Exterminatus to deal with these traitors", he says. "What of the Hounds of Loken?", Calkir asks. Donis pauses for a moment. He looks back at the other Ultramarine. "If they get in the way... we will show them what it means to consort with Xenos", he says. Donis exits the Medicae facility back the way they came. However, this time, they walk through the bombed out city scape rather than the alleyway.
Once more something was lurking in the shadows. Watching the Ultramarines. Waiting for the right moment to strike.

Argentmun writhed as his bones knitted back together, tissues and muscles reconnected and his body mended. Afterwards he felt stiff and sore, but able to stand and able to fight.
He levered himself up from the ground and looked to the Incubus next to him, "Time to go to the Space-Port as your Archon requested.". They set off at a swift pace, hoping to catch up and overtake any others who had set out before them. Whilst he acknowledged that the Farseer had been possessed by a Daemon, he couldn't quite shake the thought of his mission; what if she hadn't been corrupted at the time, what if it was true. He couldn't jeopardize the Eldar species. He decided to leave any decision till later and kept on going.

*Divine intervention!*
Lying just outside of the space port is the lifeless body of Sergeant Joen Tross. Or so it would seem. When the Ultramarines leave the space port a group of tall warriors wearing exotic armor arrive at his body. "It would seem that our helper has met his fate. Are you sure this is the one?", a feminine voice asks. "Quite sure, quite sure. Check his pulse if you would", a masculine voice answers. One of the figures leans down and presses her hand against his chest. "The spark of life burns within but it is growing dimmer", the feminine voice says. "If he still lives then it is all I need", the man replies. Out from his fingers warp energy flows into Tross's chest. His wounds close and he is saved! However, he is still out. The group picks him up and takes him away to the basement of a nearby structure.
When the Stormtrooper awakens he is sitting in a wooden chair. His helmet is on a nearby table as is a Heavy Repeating Autogun and a few magazines. Tross himself is a man of no more than 20 years. His hair is almost shaven off. Tross has brown eyes, sun kissed tan skin and a stubble. His features are plain. Not ugly but not gorgeous either. Standing across from him is a figure that had seemingly came out of nowhere. She was tall. It is obvious that it is a she not only by her feature but also by the breasts they had oddly molded into the armor itself. If Tross is plain this woman is quite the opposite. She is impossibly beautiful to the human Tross. Everything about her is perfect. Her amber eyes simply invite someone to look into them, her lips are plump enough to be appealing and her skin feature no blemishes whatsoever. She is practically doll like.
When the alien smiles at Tross is when several alarm bells set off. The way she smiles is too perfect. In fact, everything about her is too perfect. The human's subtle arousal at her appearance turned into dread. He wanted nothing more than to leave the room and get away from this monster. He stays his nerves, though. She hadnt even spoken a word yet. "You are awake. At last! We were wondering when you would awake", Autarch Li'sai says.
"Who are you?".
"You may call me Autarch Li'sai. You see, I-".
"What do you want? Where are my men?", he says interrupting her.
"I was getting to that. It would seem out interests align, human. I am here to assist you in the delivery of the device. I am sad to say it but you're men have died".
"How do you know all of this?".
"We have been monitoring you for some time now to ensure that you make it safely to the shuttles".
"Why did you not intervene before?".
"We had issues with your Imperial Space Marines. They are trying to stop you from completing the mission".
"Is that so. Well, Eldar, you have convinced me to assist you. I will betray the Imperium, stick my neck out for Xenos that hate me and spit on the Emperor's face because you said so", Tross says.
Li'sai frowns ever so slightly. Though it wasn't a positive expression it wasn't nearly as creepy to Tross. "I admit it was a poor effort but my companion assured me you'd be stupid enough to fall for it. Very well, I will be "straight with you". I am here to escort that device out of here. Not you. The device. You just happen to be a convenient carrier for it. If you do this you have the ever so nice reward of not being killed which I imagine is more than what a lot of you Imperials get. We also saved your life from sure death. We can take it away if you don't cooperate", she says.
"Heh. My friends and comrades are dead. I am an outlaw to the Emperor. I am pretty sure we are all going to be killed by the Exterminatus soon. I have nothing to lose Eldar. Do your worst", Tross says.
"Okay, fine. What would it take for you to cooperate?".
"I want a kiss. From you. Right on the lips and it better be good. Not now, though. I want it right in front of the buddies you no doubtedly have and when we are all leaving the planet", Tross says with a grin. If she didn't agree at least he would make this snobby Xenos filth feel uncomfortable.
She flattens her lips. At least he didn't ask for any sexual favors, the Eldar thought. Humans had very simple and very basic desires. "Alright. Collect your belongings and meet us on the first floor. We will assault the Space Port when the right opportunity arises", she says. Li'sai puts on her helmet and walks back up the stairs.
Tross stands up, puts his helmet back on, discovers that the Inquisitor's device is bound by some alien bindings and grabs his weaponry. The human walks up the stairs to discover that there are only two more Eldar. He briefly considered gunning them all down right now since he had a fully loaded Heavy Repeating Autogun but the Eldar could prove useful in the mission. There was a Dire Avenger Exarch, female, and a male Farseer that were closely watching the Space Port.

Karnus hangs his bolter at his side and draws his power sword, the weapon glowing a malevolent green as he draws his plasma pistol with the other hand. He meets the charge head on, sword first, happy with an opportunity to prove his superiority to the loyalist scum.
The other Plague Marines throw kraks at Avicus before heading to cover, sustaining their fire, aiming at his head.

Gavriel grinned as he stepped towards the Hounds of Loken, followed by his fellow Iron Warriors. The Glacier Serpents Plague Marines were opening fire on them, and threw grenades. Gavriel swung his power axe around several times, and pressed on the activation rune, a powerful, electrical force spreading through it. Behind him, the other Iron Warriors readied their weapons, too, and the two clad in Power Armor prepared grenades. Again, like he had done before, he uttered a challenge, though he did not expect it to be answered - the Loyalists had refused his challenges more than once in the last hour. Pitiful. He trained his combi-bolter at one of them, aiming for the Terminator's head, and loaded the melta charge, ready to blast the weakling's head off.

"Brother Leo, I just had a thought", Calkir says. The Ultramarines were now about halfway to the Space Port since they could not move very fast going through these ruins. "Thinking is a very dangerous thing to do, Battle Brother. But speak", Leo answers. "What if the Traitor Astartes attempt to steal our fallen's geneseed?", the other asks. "It doesn't matter. Whatever gene-seed they obtain will be destroyed once this planet is. Or they will kill us and take it regardless of our actions. I say we focus our minds on the task at hand", he says. "I agree. Like defeating whatever it is that is following us", Donis says. "You have seen it too?", Leo asks. "All of us have. I am simply waiting for it to strike first", Donis replies.

Gavriel laughed at the Loyalist's words. Terms. The "man" had decided to have terms. Laughable.
"Terms. You will fight me. If you die, I win and your friends will die, too. Your head will adorn my trophy rack for a day or two, when I have found and slain a foe more worthy. You are in no position to demand terms. If you should win - which will and can not happen - you will die. You are in no place to demand anything. Refuse my challenge and your head will be vaporised. Within the second. These are my terms and you have replaced them with your own. Now come and face me! I have fought your like for ten thousand years, and you shall die here!"

Gavriel nodded towards the massive, horned warrior in terminator armor, who nodded in return, knowing well what his captain ment. Make sure they don't leave... alive, at least. Gavriel swung his axe around a few times, and activated the chainblade attached to his combi-bolter.

"Orks? I dont remember being briefed on any Ork presence", Tross says. Li'sai tilts her head slightly at the sight of them charging down the street. "These Orks are a surprise to me as well. No matter, they will prove useful in thinning out the Iron Warriors and their companions. If we are lucky they will kill the fallen Tau as well", she says. "Do you think we should deal with the Ultramarines now while everyone is alone?", the Farseer asks. "No. I have another plan, Farseer. We will let these oafs fight our battles for us. Once the dust has settled we will strike from the shadows and finish off all survivors", Li'sai says. Tross leans against a nearby wall. "Not the plan I would have gone with but with the numbers we have it's not bad", he says.
"Would you care to share the plan you would have "gone with"?", she asks looking back at him. "I would flank the traitor marines and, while they are fighting the Orks, gun them down with those fancy guns of yours", Tross says. Li'sai shakes her head. "I have thought of that human. While we may fell a Traitor Marine or two it would result in us taking losses we cannot afford. More specficially you, Tross", she says. "Are you calling me weak, Eldar?", he asks. "You are an ordinary human, Sergeant. You walk amongst perfection and gods of war. The only thing between you and certain death is a crude rifle and plates of inferior metal".
"I could gun you down where you stand, Autarch", Tross says sounding offended. "Of that I have no doubt. But by that point the Farseer would already have turned your mind into ash or my companion would slit your throat before you could even see my body fall", she says. "Point taken, Autarch", he says. "Call me Li'sai. I'd like to think of us as friends, Joen", she says. Yet again the Eldar creeped him out. He says nothing in response which prompts her to look back out into the battlefield before them.

"This could not have turned out better!, Li'sai says with barely contained enthusiasm. Tross walks up to her side, puts his foot up on a piece of rubble and watches the Orks with her. "Those poor Orks. They have no idea about all of the Tyranids in there", he says. Li'sai looks down at him and lifts an eyebrow. "You feel sympathy for the Green Skins?", she asks while folding her arms. "I wouldn't wish having to fight Tyranids in close quarters battle on even my worst enemy, Aut- Li'sai. It's a nightmare beyond your worst imagining", he answers. He turns his head to her and trails his eyes up her lithe form. By the Emperor were Eldar tall. It never really set in just how much taller she was until he was right next to her. "Reserve your misplaced empathy, Joen. The Orks enjoy fighting. They are about to have the time of their lives", she says.
"A short but enjoyable existence. Truly the Orks are the most fortunate of all", the Farseer says, "I wish I could find as much joy in my work. We must enter after the Orks, though. Time grows short. The Traitor Marines are almost upon us". "Patience, Farseer, patience. Let's see where the river of fate flows to next", the Autarch says. "I will try to divine the next, best course of action in the meantime. Wake me from my trance in case we need to depart", the Farseer says. He sits down on his haunches, places his hands on the ground and closes his eyes. He remains there as still and silent as the dead.

Rorke dashed aside as Merric lunged his sword towards his arm. As the sword slashed through the air, missing his arm, Rorke made use of the gap in Merric's defence and, with surprising speed for one in Terminator Armor, smashed his power fist into the loyalist's stomach.
Torador and the other Legionairre whose name everyone kept on forgetting stepped back as Lukas lunged forward with a Thunder Hammer, and though they had managed to wound him, Torador saw the futility in standing his ground. As the Hound of Loken closed in the last few meters, Torador saw his way out. The Thunder Hammer would hit his brother's head, but that'd be of no matter. Even if he could evade the blow, he would die. Torador grabbed a krak and a frag grenade, activated them, and attached them to his brother's armor. In the last second before they exploded, he pushed his brother forward to meet the Thuner Hammer, and explode. The Thunder Hammer hit his brother's head as Torador took cover, and while he didn't see it, before the Iron Warrior's head was severed from his body, all the explosives mag-locked to his brother's armor detonated in one, massive explosion.

Raising his boltgun once again, he pulled at the Storm Shield, hoping it would pull it out of Merric's hands, and throw the Hound of Loken on the ground.
Torador, in the meantime, continued with his ritual. He felt a power rise within him, and thought he could hear faint whispering.

Rorke grinned within his helmet as he felt a swordtip puncture through the inside of his power fist. The fist was still operational and far from hampered. Blood clotted around the wound the blade had caused, and Rorke grabbed the sword with his power fist before it could be pulled back.
"Nice sword you have there. Nice gem inlaid in it, too. I wonder what would happen if I crush it, do you not?"
He began closing his fist around the blade in order to deatroy it, while aiming his bolter at the Astartes' head, ready to pull the trigger would he move.
Torador heard the whispers grow louder and louder, and his own speech joined the voices. The voices became louder and louder, until they were chanting. Torador was sure that the others could hear them now, too. He looked back at the body after scanning the surroundings for the Glacier Serpents - he couldn't see them from where he was - and he grinned as the body spasmed. Soon.

Rorke roared in pain as he was struck by the Thunder Hammer. His reflexes made his power fist clench together, and he felt the blade shatter into pieces before he fel on the ground. Before anyone could do anything, he rose, once again showing the remarkable speed he had within terminator armor. He lunged with his fist at Merric, while opening fire at his assailant, roaring.
Torador rose as the no-longer-whispers grew ever louder. As he stood up, he felt strange new senses. He felt the need to spit on the ground, and he did so. He saw that, despite wearing his helmet, something came out. It was not his saliva. It was pure acid. And it had come from him. Or his helmet. It took a moment before he noticed that those were one now. Skin and armor were one. He looked at his arms, mighty flesh and armor combined with warp-weapons. Yes. he thought, but the thought was not his own. A tear streamed down from his eyes, nay, lenses. A tear made from bile. Torador cried. He had been truly blessef by the gods! Torador shouted out in happiness, the sound so loud it could turn normal men deaf. Butcher them. We must feed! said the thought that was not his. Torador smiled, a final tear rolling down from his helmet, before he gave in to the primal instinct that he now had, his entire body a weapon, leaping towards the wounded fleshling.

Rorke was having some trouble fighting two experienced Astartes at once, but he had done this before, and he would not fall. The chain-bayonet attached to his bolter activated, and he duelled both at once. He would not give in, and he would kill them.
Torador stood up again, and the mouthpiece of his helmet split aside in razor teeth as he roared. His right arm swung towards his prey again, and he - or his other he? - jumped onto the Space Marine, his head moving towards the other's. It was feeding time. Rorke grunted as his bolter was smashed out of his hand, and noticed the hole that was starting to form in his armor. He saw how the one he had been attacking with his power fist was falling to the ground. Rorke broke one of the lengthy horns from his helmets and threw it at the Hound that had fallen onto the ground, and turned towards Merric.
Torador roared in joy, his helm-mouth covered in blood and flesh. He stabbed his chainsword-arm into the place where he knew an Astartes primary heart was located, and bit once again, intent on tearing the fleshling's head off.

Torador bit deep in the fleshling's neck, but before he could tear it off, he got distracted. He spat acid onto Avicus' face once more, before turning towards the fleshling that would be slightly better prey. He leapt towards the impaled man, his left arm, the one with which his bolter was mended, opening fire before he reached him. His chest tore itself open from within in one large maw, and he found that his left hand returned to normal. His helmet-face and the newly opened maw began chanting as his hand reached a ritual dagger, all the while stepping back. He readied the dagger, and cited the words the Daemon within whispered to him, the newly initiated ritual almost complete...

"Autarch, there are Or-", the Farseer says breaking out his trance. "I know, Farseer. I think all of us know. If that is what you have been attempting to divine then I am starting to doubt your capabilities as a seer", she says. The Farseer laughs, "Well, Li'sai, I am getting long in the tooth. I cannot see into the future quite as well as I could when I was young. Sergeant, if you would be so kind, hand me your Autogun", he asks. Sergeant Tross raises an eyebrow at the Eldar's request but complies with it anyway. The Farseer takes the gun and walks down a short flight of steps. The Autarch and Exarch follow him. Li'sai knew the Farseer to have his... oddities but to use the weaponry of the Mon'keigh? This is just unbecoming of the venerable Farseer.
"There are fewer stratagems of war more time tested, more reliable and more simple than the application of overwhelming firepower. The Orks themselves refer to this as "Dakka" and are quite good at it. Now, Autarch, witness such a stratagem being employed by a master", the Farseer says. He shoulders the Heavy Repeating Autogun, walks along the wall to the corner, casts guide upon himself and his squad and opens up on the Orks with a flurry of armor penetrating bullets. These rounds are considerably accurate since they are guided by the Farseer and his power.

*Crazygit himself found a room that looks valuable with loot, whereas the other Ork stays out to find anything else around, leaving him completely exposed to the Autogun fire that suddenly bursts up, shredding his back with little effort as he swings around, swinging his shoota around with the trigger pulled, and dies with bullets gone straight into the head.
And Crazygit of course hears the commotion, and backs into cover in the shed.* Oh zoggin' 'eck! 'Ere did 'dose come from!?

"Crude, loud and filthy. Yet effective. Here is your weapon, Sergeant", the Farseer says handing it back. "You should clean it when you get the chance. A weapon taken care of will take care of you", the older Eldar says. Li'sai draws her power sword. "Exarch, come with me. Farseer, you stay behind us so we can benefit from your spells. Joen, you take up the rear. Gun down any who would try to sneak up on us", the Autarch says. The Eldar and the human leave the corridor and start searching the building room by room.

*The problem for Crazygit now is that he can't exactly sneak out of the room, as the doorway leads right outside to them, and there's no windows at all.
But the good news for him is, that there's plenty of guns for him to quickly mess around with. So he does what a genious Ork Mek does in a desperate situation with grenade launchers and autoguns, and slams them together to one big gun, ready to point at the first git who comes through the door.*
COME GET ME, YA GROTS!

The Exarch had just walked into the room when she heard him shout out his thread. The Ork could get off a barrage from his shoota which would hurt the Exarch. However, Li'sai, Tross and the Farseer back up into the room as the Exarch falls to the ground. The Autarch primes a plasma grenades, tosses it into the room and waits for it to go off. Once it does she runs inside with her power sword in the room. With alien grace Li'sai would leap up into the air and bring her sword down onto the Ork's head.

Post by: Freddie Gibbs
*And with the grenade bouncing around in the room, his immediate thought was to shoot right onto it, but there's apparently no shots left in the gun(s), so instead he tosses it at the grenade to bounce it further away from him, and readies his Big Choppa.
And cue to the explosion, he spots the Pionty-eared Grot lunging at him, and tries to evade the blade, which instead slices a good bit of the back end of the choppa.*
Why ya little... Ye cut sum o'm man Choppa OFF! *he exclaims loudly, as he swings the large Choppa at the Autarch.*
And while that's happening, the Kans had smashed through the wall, with Hormagaunts milling through as a Warrior pounds its talons into one of the Kans.*

Post by: TheCustomLime
"Aww, did I break the big baby's favorite toy?", Li'sai asks in response to the Ork's anger. Thanks to the Eldar's heightened awareness and superior mind she could easily see the Ork swinging his choppa at her. She steps to the side to avoid the incoming force of the axe. With lightning fast speed the Autarch brings the blade in for a cut at the Ork's melee arm to weaken him or possibly to disarm him.
The Farseer picks up the Exarch and dusts her off. "Go assist the Autarch in dealing with that hideous brute. Our mutual ally and I will deal with the newcomers", he says. The Exarch nods, draws her shuriken pistol and runs inside. Once inside she starts shooting at the Ork. The Farseer focuses his mind and begins to cast an Empyrean storm. Lightning bolts arc from the ground and start hitting the Hormagaunts and Killa Kans that burst into the building. Tross goes onto his knee and starts firing at the Tyranids with his Heavy Repeating Autogun.
--------------------- --------------------------
"Orks. Tyranids. It would seem our work is cut out for us", Brother Leo says. The Ultramarines had finally made it to the Space Port only to find it filled to the brim with hostile Xenos. The Space Marines take cover by the remnants of a Word Bearer Land Raider. "Load Hellfire rounds", Brother Donnis orders. The Space Marines, in near unison, remove the Dragonfire loaded magazines, puts them back in their pouches and replaces them with Hellfire loaded rounds. These rounds contain a special mutagenic acid that chews the flesh of organic beings regardless of how tough they may be. The Ultramarines fire on the Tyranid Warriors from behind their cover.

*But Crazygit's strength isn't something to just bluff at, as he tries to swing it at her again just as she "pushes" it off, that she of course dodges. But when she tries to go for his arm, he instead "stabs" the blunt top of the axe at her torso, in an attempt to knock her away a bit.
And the Exarch's entrance makes Crazygit's situation even more of a pain in the ass with the Shurikens bouncing off the armor and shredding up his back, but he keeps his attention at the Autarch.
Meanwhile, the Kan with the Warrior finishes it off, and turns his attention to the other Kan, who immediately spotted the 'umie and the pointy-ear, and making his way over to them with the Grotzooka blasting away.*

The Autarch is indeed pushed away by the Ork's attack. This Ork is tougher than he looks, she thought. Li'sai runs backwards and, while doing so, takes out her fusion gun. If the Ork doesn't interrupt her she'll fire off a shot at the Big Mek. While this is happening the Exarch draws her Diresword and waits for a good opportunity to strike at the Ork.
The Grotzooka lands too close to the Farseer which sends him flying up against the wall. Tross is knocked onto his ass as well but he doesn't take nearly as many fragments as the Farseer does. Tross crawls over to him and shakes his shoulder. "Farseer, are you alright? Farseer?", he asks. Joen could have just left the Farseer right there to be blasted to pieces by the Killa Kans. Instead the human drags the xenos back inside of the room out of some strange respect for the Eldar.
"I wonder, Brother Donis... what are those Killa Kans shooting at?", Leo asks. Donis looks around the battlefield for any hints as to what the Kans are doing. The Ultramarines notices the corpse of the Storm Trooper is gone but there is no bloody mess to indicate that the Tyranids ate the body. "Look there. The body of the fallen Guardsman has been moved. There must be some Imperial Guard hold outs in that building", he concludes. "Or cultists looking for a body to offer to nurgle", Leo retorts. "Either situation calls for our intervention, Leo. Use the Plasma Guns we have obtained to put a dent into the things", Donis orders. The Sternguard Veterans take out their Plasma guns and begin firing at the Killa Kans themselves.

*And the Kan that just shook the Warrior off gets his engine on the back blown to bits, making him topple forward as the last one keeps charging towards Tross and the fallen Farseer.*
*Groggie holds up the Warrior's head to display for the rest of the Boyz, who are too busy with chopping and shooting the last gaunts that runs away. This of course annoys him, right until he spots the Kans that ventured off to the building.*

The Autarch was intercepted. She slipped up. And now the world begins to turn to a blur as her head was smashed into the wall repeatedly. Li'sai curses herself for being so incompetent but at the same time hopes the Exarch can save her from this brute. The Exarch plunges her Diresword into the Ork's back while he is distracted with the Autarch.
Sergeant Tross takes out a Krak grenade and tosses it at the Killa Kan hoping it lands in the thing's view port. The Farseer awakens to find himself being dragged away from the fight by a Mon'keigh. In all of his many years he could have never thought that a human would ever save him from certain death. Perhaps, for one as longed lived as an Eldar, strange things can and will happen.
"Those Guardsmen will be overrun if we do nothing. Put away your Plasma Guns. Use Kraken ammunition and put down that incoming band of Orks", Donis says. Once more the Ultramarines change their ammunition type to their more penetrating bolts. They fire on the oncoming Horde of Orks with precise volleys of Bolter fire.

Her body slams into a nearby wall, bounces off and lands next to Tross. Tross looks over at the fallen Autarch. Her helmet is dented heavily and one of the eye lenses has cracked. The sorry sight of a fallen Eldar warrior makes the Sergeant shake his head in pity. However, despite the beating she just took, Li'sai feebly points over at the Kan and whispers, "Gun it down before it gets up". Tross nods and makes a mad dash towards the Killa Kan. He quickly climbs on top of and slides the barrel of his Heavy Repeating Autogun into the vision port. Joen empties the rest of the magazine into the Ork vehicle in an attempt to kill it's operator.
The Exarch evades the Ork's punch. She then counters by firing a round from her Shuriken catapault at the Ork's neck to get blood drawn from him. Meanwhile, the Farseer removes his helmet and sets it aside. This man was quite the looker at some point in his life as most Eldar are. However, time and constant stress has not been kind to him. Everywhere that can form wrinkles as them to one degree or another. His black hair is heavily streaked and even his amber eyes seem faded. He coughs a few times and holds his gut. Channeling the remainder of his energy he casts a healing spell. Thanks to his injuries, though, his psychic defenses aren't quite as strong. Whispers of horrors unimagined scratch at the back of his mind. He can only stop the internal bleeding and mend the broken bones before he ceases using his powers. He still has fragments stuck in him which would make walking around difficult. The Farseer takes the Fusion Gun from Li'sai and aims it at the Ork. Once the Exarch was out of the way he would fire it.
"Orks! Incoming!", Leo says. "Fire your Bolters as fast as you can. We are not equipped for close assault!", Donis orders. The Ultramarines fire off their guns quicker to stop the Ork charge before they can make it happen. Leo runs out of ammunition and has to stop firing to reload.

"Perhaps it would have been more expident to have done that from the start, Autarch", the Farseer says. Sergeant Joen Tross returns having, presumably, shot the Grot inside of the Kan. "Joen, if you would be so kind, reach into the third most pouch from your left", Li'sai says ignoring the Farseer. He shrugs, walks over to her, reaches into the pouch and removes it's only content. It was a very strange looking syringe with the tube part covered in alien runes. "Where do you want it?", he asks. "In my neck. I do not want my armor to have any punctures in it", she says. Joen carefully removes her helmet revealing that the Eldar had taken a serious beating. Her lip was bleeding as was her nose, she had a black eye and he could swear a tooth was chipped. Tross pushes down the soft armor covering her neck and sticks the syringe in. He pushes down on the button on top causing the clear fluids within to enter his "patient's" body. Li'sai's facial injuries heal right before the human's eyes.
Tross helps the Eldar onto her feet since the healing solution hasn't taken full effect yet. She is surprisingly light given how tall she was. Weighed about as much as your average Jaeger when he was fully loaded up with equipment. Li'sai offers a slight smile in thanks before putting her helmet back on. The Farseer exits the room. He had apparently used Li'sai's fusion gun to melt two or three discarded Lucius pattern Lasguns he found together into a walking stick. "Farseer, why don't you use your stimulation packet?", she asks. "I do not need it. Once I get some rest I'll finish healing myself", he says, "Now, on to more pressing issues. There are Space Marines outside. I fear we may be in for an even bigger fight than before". Tross shakes his head. "No, we aren't. The Heavy Repeating Autogun is designed specifically to eliminate Astartes. Has enough bite to put one down while enough punch to get through their armor. I'll just shoot the bastards at range", he says.
The Farseer quirks an eyebrow. "Boy, I hope you do realize that you will be firing on fellow Imperial forces", he says. "It isn't the first time I have seen action against supposedly loyalist Space Marines. Not even the third. Besides, my mission parameters are clear. I am to finish it all costs. Even theirs, mine or your life Farseer", he says. The Eldar says nothing in return. Instead he just puts on his helmet and walks up to the hole in the wall to observe the Space Marines. The human did not know how correct his statement was, he thought.
Brother Donis took several shoota shells to the chest from the Ork gunfire. Though most bounced off of his power harmlessly one managed to penetrate his soft armor. He falls to the ground due to the shock of the hit. His body will heal the wound but it would give the Orks an opening. Meanwhile, Brother Calkir fires his Boltgun at the Ork that is attacking Leo. Leo on his part is on the ground with a dent in his power armor. He reaches for his Bolt Pistol but he is close the Ork. The Ork could potentially stop him.

*But Groggie stops him in a different way, with the large Chainsaw-headed axe hammering down onto the head with a loud roar, with the blades spurring and sparking at the helmet just when it gets into contact.
The two Boyz keeps on shooting, right until they get their shootas empty, where they instead sprint at him to club him down with the guns, with one of them stabbing him with a smaller choppa.*

Armored ceramite can only take so much abuse before finally giving away. The Axe head tore through the helmet's layers of advanced materials before burying itself into the Astartes's brain. Blood spatters everywhere and with that Brother Leo is no more. "Leo! No!", Calkir shouts. The Space Marine puts away his Bolter and takes out his Plasma Gun. He fires a couple of shots at the Ork hoping to avenge his fallen Battle brother.
Donis awakes to his helmet display flashing many, many warnings about his armor systems overheating. But he powers through it. He will not have a Xenos find him wanting again. Donis punches the nearest Ork right in the jaw.

*Groggie's expression's somewhat like how a child would be when they open a new present when he sees the carnage of his choppa, which abruptly ended when several plasma gun shots hits home on him, burning away his arm and splattering his head, with the large body clashing down on the ground.
And the Ork; with the knife ready to stab, gets the fist right in the jaw, which almost makes him flying back, as the other hits with the shoota's front end on the Marine's shoulder, which was probably meant to hit the head.*

The butt of his shoota leaves a small scratch on the Space Marine's armor. Donis pulls the Ork's legs out from underneath him. He then gets on the Ork and starts punching his face repeatedly. Meanwhile, Calkir is busy reloading his Plasma Gun. He pops out the old coolant cannister, allows it to fall to the ground and slides in a new one.

*The Ork slams right down into the ground, but the other was still recovering from the jaw-punch, and ends up being too slow to react to the punching. But that leaves the other Ork to reload his gun, and fire off at the back of the Marine.*

The Shoota rounds mostly bounce off of his armor. What rounds go through are ignored by the Space Marine. He did not care what injuries he sustained. The Astartes is filled with righteous fury which drives him to beat the ever loving crap out of the Ork underneath him. Calkir fires his Plasma Gun at the Ork that is shooting at his brother.
"Actually... I have another idea", the Autarch says, "Once the Orks are defeated perhaps we could convince the Space Marines to assist us by clearing out what few Tyranids remain in the Space Port". "They would never go for it. Space Marines despise xeno", Tross says. "Yes but they will trust you, Joen", Li'sai says, "To them you are an ally". "What if they recognize him as the supposed corpse they blessed?", the Farseer asks. "Then we will rain death upon them", the other responds with a smirk.

*And obviously, the Ork gets obliterated with the plasma shots, with the other being dead long ago.
But on the other hand, Crazygit's still alive. His remaining eye slowly opening, as he gives a quiet groan, simply looking around the room with his body still paralyzed. He doesn't see anyone in there, but he can clearly see the molten bits and pieces of his metal head in front of him.
Being the smart Mek that he is, he keeps quiet for a while longer, in case one of those pointy-ears comes back in.*

Sergeant Joen Tross, not soon after, walks out of the building and towards the Ultramarines. Meanwhile the Eldar slink out of the building and, while the Ultras are distracted, take up positions to ambush them. The Ultras quickly notice the Storm Trooper and walks over to meet him. "Thank the Emperor! Space Marines! My lords, it is an honor", Tross says kneeling before them. "Well met Storm Trooper. We thought all of you wiped out", Donis says. "We are. That last Ork attack slaughtered the last of us. I am the only one left", Tross says. Calkir suddenly grabs Tross and picks him up. "Liar! I know a lie when I hear it! Tell us the truth, Trooper. Who else was with you in that building?".
The Jaeger pauses for a moment. Every fiber of his being wanted to tell about the Eldar. These were the Ultramarines. The Emperor's finest. But it could jeopardize the mission if they knew he was a heretic. So Tross didn't alert the Ultras to the Eldar sneaking up on them. Everyone's life was expendable. So was his orders. And his orders are the only thing the human has left.
"Was it Chaos cul-", Calkir asks. He is cut off by a Power Sword through his hearts. Li'sai twists the power sword to get as many of his redundant organs as she can. With the life leaving his body the last thing Calkir does is curse Tross as a traitor with his dying breath. Donis didn't even have that luxury. Tross falls to the ground on his back. The Space Marine falls flat on his side. "What have I done?!", Tross cries out. He lays there for a few minutes in silence. Li'sai walks over, picks him up and sets him on his feet. "Are you alright, Joen?", she asks. "Yes. Let's get to those damned shuttles. I am tired of this planet", he says. The Autarch nods and leads the group towards the port. She stops before they get far. "Exarch, collect the Plasma Guns and any power packs. I want you and Joen to carry one", she says. The Exarch nods. She quickly runs back, grabs the fallen plasma guns, the ammo for them and runs back. She gives one to Tross and slings the other across her back. "Very good. Let's keep going", the Autarch says. The group resumes their travel.

It wasn't a long trip at all to the Space Port proper. It took the Eldar and the human perhaps a minute or so to get there. As they reach the Space Port the Autarch's apparently creepy gaze fell upon a fallen Harlequin. Even though he is riddled with dozens of bullets his Agaith retains the ever present toothy smile typical of a jester. She then shifted to the bullet hole ridden wall behind him. Whoever downed this individual used a lot of ammunition to do it. It is probably the best way to deal with any sort of Eldar, Li'sai thought. With enough ammunition being thrown one's way one will find that the place they decided to evade to also has a bullet coming for them.
Perhaps that is the great joke that his Agaith is smiling widely at. For all the training one does, for all of the inherent toughness one may possess, for all of the superior equipment and for all of the Battlefield Expertise one may have obtained all it takes is a moron with a big enough gun to take you down. Li'sai kneels down and collects the Harlequin's spirit stone. She puts it in a cloth back with around 16 others.
"Did you know that guy?", Tross asks. Li'sai turns around to look at Tross. She shakes her head and says, "No. But he is still one my kin. He deserves better than to have his soul consumed by She-Who-Thirsts". Li'sai draws her Fusion Gun and enters the Space Port. Tross puts away the Plasma Gun and reloads his Heavy Repeating Autogun. The Exarch, on her part, decides to keep the Plasma Gun out since her Shuriken Catapault has failed to do anything today.
The party wanders through the halls, up the stairs and across large storage rooms. Tross decides that, since they were going to leave soon, he was going to activate his Auspex. It may be damaged but you don't have to see far to detect Genestealers. To his surprise, though, his Auspex painted a group of friendly soldiers. Better yet they were in the next room over. "Autarch, I am detecting Imperial forces. They are just ahead of us", he says. Li'sai quirks an eyebrow at this new revelation. How could anything non Tyranid last in such a place? The Space Port was lousy with the creatures, she thought. "Very good. Go and see if you can get them to ally with us. Hopefully we will not have to kill them like we did with the Ultramarines", she says.
Tross nods. He goes over to the room and knocks on the door. Not 5 seconds later a challenge knock came from behind the door. A distinct knock that is only used by Visigian Jaegers. It would seem more made it out of the drop than he had thought. Joen returns the knock that had been drilled into him during training almost perfectly. The door opens and inside is a full squad of Jaegers. They are mostly armed with Autoguns save for their Sergeant, who is armed with a Plasma Pistol and a Powersword, and two Special Weapons guys who are both armed with Melta Guns. The Sergeant of their group pushed passed the others to greet Tross. A crackly and metallic female voice came out of her damaged helmet. "Sergeant Major Joen Tross. We thought you had died retrieving the Inquisitor's damned device", she says. "Well Kella, I am made of sterner stuff than that". "So you have it, then?". "Affirmative". "Excellent! Then this coffin of ours just turned into a mission. Alright, Jaegers, we are going home!", she says. The soldiers cheer and shout in support of the idea of getting back to Visigia. "We also have help, Sergeant. These Eldar here saved my life and have been escorting me to the shuttles", he says. "Eldar? Since when have Eldar done anything for us?". "Apparently since today. Do not worry, they will not double cross us". `
Kella activated their internal communication systems so that she could speak privately to Tross. "What, are you, stupid? They are undoubtedly going to betray us as soon as we are no longer useful towards them". "These ones are different, Sergeant. They saved my life". "Of course you would protect your assets. You need them alive and well. Look, sir, as soon as these Eldar get us to our shuttles I am going to gun the lot of them down. If you have any loyalty for the Emperor you will do the same". "...Right".
Tross turns around and looks at Li'sai. "Li'sai, these Jaegers are willing to help us", he says. "Very good. We must be quick, though, before the fallen humans follow us here", she says in return.
The path up to the roof was riddled with Genestealers. From the ducts, from the floor grating, from darkened hallways and holes in the paneling they came. Many bullets were fired and many Genestealers were slain. After all, Tyranid hunting was the reason the Visigian Jaegers were formed in the first place and this is something they are trained for. Still, they are simply mortal. By the time they reached the last floor before the roof the squad of Storm Troopers was narrowed down to around 5 men. Thankfully the Meltagunners and the Sergeant managed to live through it all. The room they had just entered is a massive cargo bay with huge boxes forming hallways, rooms and corridors. Thankfully the route to the stairs leading onto the landing pad itself was very short and obvious. Before the group continued the Visigian Jaegers, except Tross, pointed their weaponry at the Eldar. "That's far enough Xenos. I'm afraid that we Imperial citizens do not allow the alien to live even if they are helpful. So, either get on your knees and die with dignity or be gunned down like the animals you are", Kella says. Li'sai furrowed her brow in anger at this betrayal. How could she have trusted a human? They are all trea- "Wait. Sergeant Tross isn't aiming his rifle at us", she thought.
"Pick up your rifle, Sergeant Major, and execute these dogs", Sergeant Kella ordered. Before the man could do anything a massive hulking beast crashed through the boxes and onto Kella's squad. The Meltagunners began firing at the beast staying it from charging further. Kella herself was shot in the back by Li'sai while she had her head turned. "Let's go, Joen. Waiting for them will jeopardize the mission", Li'sai says with her hand on his shoulder. He nods. Tross feels even more guilty about betraying his own comrades. Imperial Space Marines are known to fire on their comrades for no reason and no one will miss an Inquisitor. But those were Visigian 98th. He personally knew about three of those he had just left to die.
Once on the rooftops the Eldar and their human companion make a beeline for the shuttles as if expecting the Tyrant to follow them. Something monstrous was indeed up there with them. Bio-titans. Two of them. How they remained hidden to the Eldar was uncertain but what is certain is that they are quite aware of their presence. The Bio-titans arouse from their rest and start charging the group. "Exarch... stay here with me. Autarch, you take the Sergeant and run for the shuttles. I will try to delay these horrors for as long as I can", the Farseer says. "Farseer, you are practically the leader of our Craftworld! Y-", she says. He would not have any of it. The Farseer began to channel a huge spell. No doubtedly pushing himself this far would cause his mind to become easy pickings for any daemons. But this was for his people.
Li'sai and Tross ran into the shuttle. Meanwhile, the Exarch began firing her Plasma Gun at the Bio-titan at the Farseer's silent order. She ran at the monster only to be impaled by it's massive legs. The Farseer nor she expected the attack to work. He only needed them to focus on her for a moment. Li'sai, having studied the path of the fighter pilot, is comfortable at the controls of a star craft. Eldar craft. Human craft were overly complex and full of unncessary steps to perform anything. She had no clue, once in the cockpit, how to activate the shuttle. Her perceptive gaze found a manual. Instead of the usual esoteric and pretentious rhetoric usually found in Adeptus Mechanicus script the previous crew found it expedient to replace all of that with simple diagrams. Undoubtedly a crime against the Imperium but no one reported it, most likely. Soon the craft's engines were warmed up.
The Farseer could feel his mind slipping. The claws of warp creatures, lustful for a chance to enter the materium, scratched at his brain. He paid them no mind. The Farseer unleashed a massively charged Eldritch Storm. Huge lightning bolts snapped at the Tyranid monstrosities begging them to approach. They backed away as the bolts did some damage to their limbs. Soon the shuttle was off and zooming out into space. The Farseer's mind was finally consumed by a horror of the warp a second after the shuttle took off. The Psyker storm subsided which prompted the Bio-titans to charge again. The Farseer's body began to rise and fill with Warp Power. Before the Daemon could realize his full power his vessel is destroyed banishing him back to the warp.
When the shuttle leaves the planet's atmosphere the Autarch takes a long, dispassionate look back at the planet. Sadness filled her at thought of one of her closest friends being slain by the Tyranids. She then felt joy at the success of the mission. Her Craftworld was saved. Many had died for it but countless more would live to see another day because of their sacrifice. So, her overall emotion was bittersweet. Li'sai also felt deep gratitude towards Sergeant Joen Tross for assisting her on this mission. He could have gunned her and her companions before the Tyrant came. Yet he was true to his word. And because of that she decided she was going to be true to her word. He had earned as much. So, the Autarch contacted her carrier ship to go pick the shuttle up, took her helmet off, called the human in and gave him the most passionate kiss muster. What happened after that couldn't be said for certain. Could have just been awkward silence until they were picked up. Or something.
Epilogue:
"The device you wanted as per your request, sir", Sergeant Tross says. Inquisitor Harland, a fat and balding man, looks up from his paper work. He raises an eyebrow and asks, "Excuse me? Have we met, Guardsman?", he asks. "Oh, my appologies. Sergeant Joen Tross, 98th Visigian reporting it. I have delivered the package as per your orders", Tross says. The Inquisitor smiles, "Very good! Very good indeed! Sit down, Joen, please", he says. Joen takes a seat in one of the large leather chairs just in front of Harland's desk. The Inquisitor gets up and walks over to his book shelf. He pulls a book out and, from a carved out hole, takes out a bottle of amasec. "Can't leave liquor around or else someone might steal it. Can't put cameras in here either or someone might spy on me", the Inquisitor says. He takes out two glasses and hands one to Tross. He pours both of them equal amounts of amasec. The Inquisitor sits back down at his desk and folds his hands together.
"Well, Sergeant, reviewing what footage my agents have recovered from the world I can see that, in following your orders, you have committed many grave heresies. Shooting an agent of the Emperor's Inquisition. Stealing the Emperor's water. Disobeying the Emperor's jaywalking laws. Consorting with Xenos in every sense of the term. Betraying fellow agents of the Imperium. I should have flogged, Sergeant! And drink, go ahead, it's not poisoned", he says. To prove it Harland takes a gulp of the drink. The Sergeant does the same after hesitating for a moment. "However, as you have stated in your account this was all in line with your orders. I did tell you to do whatever it took. And you did. So I cannot fault your for that. You will be returned to Visigia to form a new 98th regiment with you at it's head as a reward for good service. I will make sure the adepts see none of this, Joen", Harland says. Tross finishes the amasec before the Inquisitor finishes his speech. He stands up and says, "Thank you, sir". "No problem at all Colonel Tross. Now, be off. Your transport is waiting and I have some entertainment coming over", he says.
Once Colonel Tross was out the Inquisitor locked the door. He checked the entire room for any bugs and, finding none, sits back down at his desk. He opens the box and finds a tiny scroll with impossibly small runes etched onto it. "Finally... the STC that'll complete my device...", he says eying with a wide grin.

*Two days earlier*
"For the Emperor! For the glory of Sanguinius!", bellows a voice. The source of this loud and long winded battle cry is none other than the Blood Angels 5th Captain Fernod Lopez. Wearing golden power armor as traditional for Blood Angels this man is sticking his head out of the hatch of his Rhino. His rhino is but one of the many tanks in his army. Predators, Razorbacks, Vindicators and even Land Raiders carrying Terminators are all part of this strikeforce. Their objective is to wipe out a small Eldar task force before they can obtain an object of interest to the Inquisition. This object is the key to activating a weapon that will disrupt the connection to the overall Hive Mind. Even for beings like the dominatrix. Without it they would become naught more than wild beasts making them ripe for the pickings. Such a device could potentially save Baal from the Tyranid menace.
Yet, for one reason or another, these Eldar were going after it too despite not having much use for it. They knew this since their Scouts in the area reported the Eldar traveling on a Tollway right towards the Adeptus Mechanicus facility where it was being held. Storm Troopers are currently seizing the facility from a Genestealer infestation so they were in no position to defend. It was up for the scions of Sanguinius to be their saviors. So, an entire column of tanks had been placed by Thunderhawk Transporters to intercept the Eldar convoy. From the get go the Blood Angels already lost a Land Raider and a Thunderhawk Transporter as both were shot down in one hit from the Revenant titans. Several Rhinos were taken out and their occupants turned to ash by Fire Prism fire. The Predators were forced to pop their smoke launchers to stop themselves from being targeted.
The Vindicators, Razorbacks, Rhinos and Land Raiders charge towards the Eldar as they are meant to do. The Predators stay back and fire their impressive collection of Lascannons at the Eldar's vehicles. Opposing the Angels are several Wave Serpents, two Revenant Titans, at least three Fire Prisms and a lot of Jetbikes. Their vehicles are actually painted in a dark grey/light grey/white urban camouflage scheme as opposed to the usual garish colors typical of Eldar. Smart, the Blood Angels captain thought, But it will do them little good here.
"Autarch, the marines are closing in", a feminine voice says. Keeping space but behind the tanks is around 10 Jetbikes. Like the vehicles themselves it would seem their riders are also wearing camouflaged armor. The Eldar with the most ornate equipment rides in the rear of this formation being the overall commander. Her name is Li'sai. The dust of countless burned worlds grace her boots and her blade has tasted the blood of dozens of Astartes. She actually keeps count of how many Space Marines she has slain in her head. 63 exactly discounting any that her soldiers has slain. "Destroy them. Show them the utter stupidity of charging at an army equipped with ranged weaponry", the Autarch orders. The Exarch of the Jet Bike squadron relays her order to the rest of the army. The Eldar vehicles stopped, spread out and poured their fire on the Space Marine armored column.
The results are devastating to say the least. In one barrage alone the Astartes have lost their Land Raiders, Vindicators, Razorbacks and most of their Rhinos. Their occupants still live, though. They dismount their tanks and charge fowards towards. For the Emperor.
"Yet they still come. How typical of Astartes. Continue firing until they are dead", the Autarch says. She smirks underneath her helmet. "Are these truly the Emperor's finest? I have seen better stratagems coming from the Imperial Guard", she says.
Then, from behind, two Drop Pods land. And then another. And then another. Sternguard Veterans and Vanguard Veterans, with Jetpacks, pour out of them along with an Ironclad Dreadnought. Boltgun fire slays several Jetbike Riders before the Eldar can react. The Ironclad Dreadnought picks one up off his bike and crushes him in his mighty grip. The Autarch whips her bike around and fires at the Dreadnought with her fusion gun. It explodes in a shower of fire and sparks. "Fire Prisms, fire on the newly arrived Space Marines but do not turn your hull around", she orders, "Revenant Titans, fire on the Predators before we lose any tanks!". As almost to emphasize her point one of her Wave Serpents explodes just as spectacularly as the Dreadnought. The Revenants make short work of the Predators. They then resuming firing on the ever approaching wave of angry Blood Angels.
Captain Fernod Lopez is at the forefront of this angry wave. Everything was going according to plan. His army had no chance of defeating the Eldar task force. They simply didn't have the time, resources or any way to ambush them. Instead his hope was to delay them until the Storm Troopers escaped. But those damned Revenants. Even against his Terminators their weaponry killed without fail. Entire squads of Astartes evaporate in seconds with each barrage. Soon one hit Fernod. He was no more.
The Autarch heard the distinct screech of an Imperial Jetbike a few seconds before the Vanguard Veteran crashed into her bike. She was thrown off of it and, indeed, off of the Tollway entire. She fell right onto a car triggering it's alarm. The Autarch wasn't particularly hurt since it was a short fall. Then the Vanguard Veteran came careening down towards her in attempt to crush her with his very boots. With her fusion gun missing and with her army fighting off the Space Marines Li'sai had to rely on her abilities with her power sword. She rolled off of the car, landed on her feet, drew her power sword, waited for an opening with the Blood Angel and thrusted it into his gut. The power sword went through the ceramite plating like... well, like a Power Sword through ceramite. Space Marines were tougher than to die because of one blow. She knew this and so she retracted her blade before it could be knocked out her hands.
The Vanguard Veteran had his own power sword. Rather than waiting for an opening in Li'sai's guard instead he just chose to attack the Eldar like a wild beast. Well, he did show considerable skill with his sword but he just kept coming at her trying to outlast the Eldar rather than outfight. Unfortunately for him she had fought against the Space Marines before. Li'sai parries rather than dodges one blow and then, in one counter, destroys his four hearts. The Space Marine falls down flat on his back. 64. That is 64 she has slain now.
A Revenant Titan falls to the ground in a smoking heap. Vendetta Gunships arrive to assist the Space Marines as well as Avenger Strike Fighters. Crimson Hunters, in turn, quickly descend onto the Imperial craft and a dog fight breaks out. Li'sai walks along the Tollway looking for a way to climb up. Though the fall was short whoever designed this road clearly did not want anyone climbing onto it.
The four surviving Terminators ran at the Fire Prisms with their Thunder Hammers and Storm Shields. The Stormshields protected them from any damage the xeno vehicle may inflict on them. Once in contact they slammed their hammers repeatedly into the vehicle's armor. One of the Terminators swung his hammer at the glass canopy of the tank obliterating it's driver. Once that Fire Prism was out of commission they charged its sister which wasn't too fire away thanks to crowded nature of fighting on a tollway. It too suffered a similiar fate though this time the driver's blood spattered out of the glass and onto the Terminator's armor. In the distance around 5 Valkyries took off from the facility indicating the Storm Trooper's mission was a success. In turn two Thunderhawk gunships quickly arrived to evacuate the surviving Space Marines. They were fired on by the surviving Revenant severely damaging one. The Revenant in turn was destroyed by the Turbo-lasers of the Thunder Hawks. They took off just as a swarm of gargoyles descended from the sky. They attacked the Eldar, they brought down the Valkyries, they destroyed the survivors of the dog fight and they were quickly destroying the Space Marine's craft.
The craft took off towards the closest city in hopes that, after they crash land, they will receive help from the city's defenders. The ships crash at least a mile away from the town.
*Present day*
"We have been walking for days, Brother Sergeant, and yet to have seen a single soul", says a Terminator. The last survivors of the Blood Angels strike force wander the city in search of any other Imperial forces. "Patience Brother Klein. Patience. We will find someone here. Cities are always full of rats no matter how hard you try to get rid of them. At least without an orbital bombardment", the Sergeant says. The Terminator clad Space Marines are near the outskirts of the city and are heading inwards.

The man sat in a corner, in a building close to the spaceport. He had not eaten for days, and the last time he drank was... several days ago too, he reckoned. He couldn't quite tell the time from here. His voice rasped as he tried to protest to the giant shadow of a man that stood in a corner.
"My lord! I can be of use to you! Please, just he- *cough* help me."
"You are a manufactorum worker with absolutely no knowledge about the spaceport and its surroundings. You haven't eaten in days, and will soon die of dehydration. You are of absolutely no use to us."
The man whimpered as a gigantic gun was pressed against his head.
"Consider this a favor."
He knew he was dead. He couldn't quite accept it, but he was. Or would be soon enough.
"Before you do this, you.. you.. Who are you? Let me know the name of my killer before I die."
"My name is of no use to you. But very well. You are a lucky man, very lucky. I am granting you two favours now."
"I am Alpharius."
Before he could say anything, the man's head was blown to pieces as a bolt round detonated within, pieces of bone and brain spattering against the walls and the floor of the building, and against dark, blue armor with green trimming. 'Alpharius' walked out of the room, where the rest of his brothers were waiting for him.
"He knew nothing. Let us go, brothers. We have a planet to get off."

A distant bolter shot gives the Blood Angels pause in their otherwise constant march straight into the city. The Terminators watch their armor's sensors for any sound or any movement that might tip them off as to where that gunshot came from. "Well, it would appear that we aren't the only rats crawling around", one of them says. This individual is a man by the name of Calyso. Rather than the Thunder Hammer and Stormshield the rest are carrying he instead wields two Lightning Claws. "Who do you suppose it could be? I don't remember reading about any space marines being deployed in this particular city", another says. He is Battle Brother Klein. Ironically, he is a giant of a man standing at around 9 feet tall. "I do remember hearing that an Ultramarines Thunderhawk went down here. The vox comms made it clear that there was no known survivors of the crash", spoke a Terminator. He was none other than Brother Taris. An ordinary Blood Angel. As ordinary as one can get being a post-human super soldier wearing nearly indestructible powered armor. Finally, their Veteran Sergeant, a man named Selin, says, "There were some reports of Chaos Space Marines". "Hopefully we will not encounter any warp threats", Taris says, "Where are we going, anyway?". "We need to find a way to contact our Battle Barge if we can. If not we need to find a working craft to reunite with our chapter".
The Blood Angels continue on down the street and past the ruins of a Medicae center. They do not even see the slain pair of Ultramarines rotting within. The living Astartes are unaware of any other survivors due to their damaged communication systems. In addition their internal Auspexes are no longer functional due to the crash.

The Blood Angels are getting quite close to the Space Port. They are now on the streets where the Ultramarines had perished. When the Astartes come across their fallen brethren they pause in their stride to give a silent prayer to them. Without a word regarding their deaths the Angels continue on towards the main structure in the middle of the city. It is then that they notice a group of Terminators breaking into the building itself. Selin and his squad run up towards the Hounds of Loken. Once they reach them Selin takes his helmet off to introduce himself. "Greetings, Battle Brother. I am Veteran Sergeant Selin of the Blood Angels. It's good to see other Astartes still alive on this Emperor forsaken planet", he says bowing slightly.

Blood angels. Blood angels had always been friends with the hounds, perhaps on some instinctive level, the two chapters knew of each others burdanous flaw. The death company of the blood angels, and the afflicted of the hounds of loken.
*Merric turned from his work, and bowed slightly*
{Merric} "Brothers, it is good to see you. we were not aware of any other loyallists on the surface."
{Avicus} " Oh great, do any of your captains need a new bodyguard? I really am fed up of this guy getting building thrown on me."

Alpharius looked through the scope of his Stalker-pattern bolter, studying the spaceport, before lowering the weapon, and turning towards his brothers, who were doing the same. They knew what he knew, but nevertheless, he told them what they had just seen, over the encrypted vox network.
"The Blood Angels and Hounds of Loken have rallied. I recall both have more than pieces of knowledge of our existence. I also recall that these Hounds of Loken are all... scholars on the subject of traitor iconography, and I think they will see us as just that. So, we better hurry. Move."
As one, the Reconnaissance squad jumped down the building they had sat atop of, and hit the ground with less noise than one could normally expect of a suit of power armor falling through the air, and landing on concrete. Running, they moved out towards the spaceport, bolters held ready, while their camo cloaks made sure of an unexpected arrival.

Veteran Sergeant Selin and his men follow the the Hounds of Loken into the space port. "By any chance, are there still any Chaos Marines that draw breath? We saw dead Iron Warriors and Ultramarines on the way here", the Sergeant asks. Klein's vision suddenly starts to cut out. He taps the side of his helmet trying to get his display to work properly. "Sergeant, my helmet is shorting out. What should I do?", he asks. "Take the helmet off for now. We need ourselves on our Guard should any Tyranids have survived", the Sergeant says. The Terminator nods and removes his helmet. Klein is the picture of the ideal Blood Angel. Dashing good looks, locks of blond hair neatly kept and bright blue eyes. If it weren't for the many disfiguring scars one could mistake him for a sculpture.

'Surprise...'
Like a weeping tear in the fabric of space, a psychadelically whirlstorm the size of a Chimera appears right out of nowhere. More a hole in reality than an actual portal, the weeping warpgate rips through the fragile Realspace with impunity, a malevolent will driving it into being as a spear is driven through flesh. Twisting and coiling as if tortured, the Warp Rift spews out daemonic ichor and horrible, unreal creatures, their flickering forms stumbling forward with a relentless gait. So foul are the creatures that any lesser man would have been driven mad at their appearance, for it defies all sanity. With a malefic unity of purpose, the creatures pour out of the rift and fixate their bulbous, fetid eyes on the loyalist Space Marines. No words exit their mouths, just a monotonous, constant droning. Something about those creatures seems so very wrong- as if they are not truly there- for whatever they are, they are not of this world. Up above on a low roof, Plague Champion Karnus simply lifts his hand and points at the Loyalists. Instantly the fell manifestations begin approaching the Space Marines, while a storm of Bolter fire roars from the Plague Marines' weapons...
Some time earlier
'And you are certain this will work, Plague Champion?...'
'Do not doubt the Grandfather, Marus... Sharikh was assured that this point had the weakest barrier between Warpspace and realspace...'
The Plague Marines toil heavily, the corrupted Astartes dragging bundles of corpses onto a stone platform. The platform, seemingly once part of a nobility house's floor, had been dragged out of a nearby building and used to build a makeshift altar.Karnus himself is not doing so, instead he is cutting ornate runes into the platform with his Power Sword, each rune glowing a sickly green the moment he finishes it. Tyranids, humans, even an Ork or two, all are piled onto the makeshift altar.
As the pile has reached two Marines' height, Karnus and the others kneel before it in a Nurgle symbol. The ritual begins.

Selin powers up his Thunder Hammer and raises his Storm Shield as the Daemons approach. Though the lone sight of the Daemons clawed at the very foundations of his psyche he was a Space Marine. Their minds are a fortress of ignorance, blind faith and overconfidence. He turns to the Hounds of Loken and says, "You deal with the Traitor Astartes. We will deal with these horrors of the warp". The Sergeant turns around and charges at the Daemons. His soldiers followed him without hesitation. Once they meet the Daemons Sellin raises his Thunderhammer and brings it down on the Daemon's head. Taris raises his shield and holds his Thunder Hammer at the ready to strike at the Daemons. Klein follows the Sergeant's lead but swings his Thunder Hammer from the side at the closest Daemon.

When struck, the hideous monsters flicker heavily but they do not vanish. Indeed, despite the terrible blows dealt to them, their unnatural essences are strong this close to the source and they simply shrug off the attacks, swinging their foul, rotten blades at the Space Marines as dozens more of their kind march out of the Warp Rift. Meanwhile the Glacier Serpents continue to fire, taking time to place accurate bolter shots, aiming to fire at the heads of any unhelmeted Space Marines and trying to hit the joints of the others.

Alas, Brother Wilbur Klein. Though he was a great warrior he had the misfortune of a malfunctioning helmet. Though the refractor field provided by the suit's generator saved him from some of the bolts one punched straight the the field and right through his skull. The red armored super soldier falls to the ground with half of his head missing. "Klein is down", Selin says with no apparent grief for his fallen comrade, "We need to retreat. We will be chopped to pieces in the face of this assault". The two Terminators hold up their shields to protect them from any oncoming attacks. However, Brother Calyso is not amongst them. The Terminator is nowhere to be seen, in fact. At least not amongst the loyalists.
Battle Brother Calyso is now on the second floor of the Space Port. The post-human cyborg goes over to a window, takes a communicator from his belt and opens a frequency only known to a select few. He states, in a unrecognizable voice, "This is Operative number Seven-three-two-one-eight-zero-zero. I am in position to eliminate the loyalist Astartes but my mission has been jeopardized by a hostile Chaos Space Marine warband. I am requesting a melta charge to be dropped off on the roof of the Space Port in the city where my signal is originating from".

The Plaguebearers are 'killed' by the experienced Hounds of Loken... A few of them, at least. For the more they kill, the more Plaguebearers exit the Warp Rift, the hungering maw to the realm beyond being fed by the bloodshed, death and furious emotion of those nearby.
The Plague Marines, in turn, spot the incoming Sons of Loken and immediately deploy appropriate tactics, millennia of warfare not having dulled their reactions.
Karnus has plenty of experience of Plasma weapons. But being trapped between a wall and incoming Plasma bolts sailing through the sky like morbidly slow water globules only leaves him one option. He sprints forward, drawing his Plague-infected Power Sword as he does so, heading straight for Avicus while the Plasma hits the ground behind him.
The rest of his squad target Lukas. Intent on not letting the Terminator close in, they focus fire on any vulnerabilities they spot, hurl Krak grenades and prepare to evade should he make it through unscathed.
As one, the Plague Marines think that it probably would have been a good idea to save the Micro-Vortex Grenades...

"Plague Marines and Daemons."
The Alpha Legionnaires looked at the ensuing battle between the Glacier Serpents, Hounds of Loken, Blood Angels and the Plague Bearers, stalker bolters at the ready to open fire - on the loyalists. The Scions of Nurgle could, despite their absolutely disgusting appearances, be very useful still. The Loyalists retreated, but before Alpharius could give the order to open fire, he noticed an encrypted signal being broadcasted. Legion encryption. He opened the channel, and found himself listening to an operative near the space port, in position to destroy the Loyalists.
"Operative Seven-three-two-one-eight-zero-zero," he began, "your call has been noted. Stay put. Within three minutes your requested melta charge will be delivered, and you will be able to continue on your mission. The Loyalists are retreating before the Daemons as we speak. We shall inform you once the equipment has been delivered."
Alpharius closed the link, and turned to brother Efrett, ordering him to deliver several melta charges at a certain location. He sent the Legionnaire the exact coordinates of the signal broadcast, and Efrett vanished through the rubble, heading towards the Spaceport to deliver the melta charges.

In a disturbing echo of the chase earlier, the sluggish-looking Plague Marines are still faster than their more heavily armoured enemies. The squad draw chainswords and pistols, prioritising defense as they know the the seemingly unending tide of Daemons will overwhelm the loyalists sooner or later. Time is on their side. Meanwhile, Karnus charges Avicus as a disgusting praise to Nurgle escapes his ruined jaw. As soon as he enters range he makes a series of rapid sweeps and cuts with the Nurgle-blessed power sword, taking pot shots with his Plasma Pistol when he gets the opening.

He is interrupted by the sight of his squad mates backing up the stairs with their shields facing towards the fight. "What of the Hounds of Loken?", Taris asks. "We informed them that we should retreat. If they refuse than so be it", Selin says. The three Terminators turn around and start off towards the next flight of steps. "We abandoned our brothers. We are cowards", Calyso says after a long period of silence. The other Blood Angels do not disagree with the man. He is putting to words what was on their minds the whole time. "We are not cowards, Brother. It is the mark of a true warrior to know when a position should be abandoned for a more tenable one", Selin says.

The two Terminators charge into the fray as fast as their massive suits of armor allow for which isn't very fast at all. Taking advantage of yet another distraction Calyso departs from his squad and does to search for the Melta charges he requested. He quickly finds the plain box that had just been placed. As the Terminators charge Calyso calmly walks over to the weapons cache.

As the Terminators foolishly turn their backs on the Glacier Serpents, the Plague Marines immediately raise their boltguns and concentrate fire on the vents on the back of the otherwise seemingly impenetrable plating.

Selin and Taris jump off of the platform besides the staircase and get in between the retreating Hounds of Loken and the Plague Marines. "So, you wish to fight for your gods? Earn favor with the Lords of Chaos? How about I send you back to them so that you may gain favor with them in person?", Selin asks. He charges at the Plague Marines with his Storm Shield at the ready. Taris is right behind Selin with his shield up as well.
Calyso collects the melta bombs. A devious plan forms in the heretic's mind about how to destroy the loyalists. He primes one of the Melta Bombs and places it on his belt. He then seemingly charges to join his brethren.

'Brothers, full evasion tactics... Disruption pattern Beta 27...'
Karnus roars to his brethren and the Plague Marines scatter. Ignoring the Storm Shields, they run in different directions.
As the loyalists close in, each one activates a remote detonator, triggering Krak grenades dropped in the rubble at the start of the fight, the grenades exploding as the Terminators are passing over them, imploding the rubble beneath them and causing it to shatter.

The Terminators fall down through the hole created in the stairs. They land on the first floor on their feet thanks to their improved reaction times as Astartes. The impact leaves a noticeable dent in the floor plating and breaks a few pipes. The Blood Angels do not charge straight at the Plague Marines, though. Instead they smash through the wall and leave the Space Port proper and charge down the adjacent hallway towards the front of the building.

*as Avicus is about to charge after the blood angels, merric grabs his shoulder*
{merric} "NO! we go up! Get to the ship, if they survive, then they will meet us there!"
*the four terminators turn and charge straight up the stairs, a few bolts following them before they dissapear behind a turn.*

Brother Sergeant Selin's plan of flanking the Plague Marines may have worked under certain circumstances. Had the Hounds of Loken charged instead of ran they could've possibly put pressure on the Traitors on two different sides creating confusion. However, with the Hounds of Loken gone they are instead charging into a mass of pustulent flesh and corroded equipment. The Blood Angels may be well armed and equipped but they lack the numbers to deal with this threat easily. Then again, when do the proud elite of the Adeptus Astartes ever have it easy?
The two heavily armored giants burst through another wall in the space port not too far from the entrance. Once more they have their Storm Shields raised at the ready to take anything the Plague Marines might throw at them. They slowly walk through the hole they created and cry out their individual challenges to the traitor astartes. .
Meanwhile, Veteran Battle Brother Calyso watches the Hounds of Loken retreat from the fight. He is now right next to the stair case giving him a good chance to throw the Melta Bombs onto the Hounds which he takes advantage of. In these close quarters it would be difficult for them to miss.

{Helios} "Damn The battles begun"
{Jasper} "time we joined the fray"
{helios}(shouting cammands to the guardsmen to aim the taurox battle cannon at the wall of the spaceport) For Leandros!
{Jasper} (changes to a bolter and repeats the cry as the cannon blasts a hole large enough for the hydra to fit through)
the tanks roll into the facility the hydra dropping its gun and sliding in after the taurox

*Merric had just sheathed his power axe to allow faster running when a Melta bomb landed in his hand. An old terran expression came to mind. Hot potato. He threw it, as hard and fast as he could, over his shoulder, and it flew past his brothers' heads, exploding in mid-air, and melting the very outer layer of Avicus' armour.*
*Merric looked upwards, and caught a glimpse of red. why had the blood angel dropped a bomb on them? his mind raced, symbols and information racing through his brain. Sirius figured it out a second before he did thoe.*
{Sirius} "ALPHA LEGION!"

*Merric barrelled up the stairs, the blood angels were dead, he was sure of it. As he reached the traitor, he grabbed and hauled, throwing the treacherous blood angel/alpha legionnaire down the metal stairs. Lukas, Avicus, and sirius followed him. Merric passed up and up, up and up, until finally he shoulder barged through a door, and was standing on the space port roof. The shuttle, the size of a storm raven, sat squatly on a slightly raised platform. He sprinted to it, any followers had not yet reached the roof. Merric tapped the activation rune for the ramp, and it slid down. The terminators sprinted into the shuttle, and while sirius sprinted to the cockpit, Merric punched the ramp rune to shut it. Avicus stood at ready, waiting to see if anything would tr to ply the door ramp down.*
{Sirius} "Got it! Engine full capacity in 35 seconds!
Navigation set to the tribute, weapons count, forward mounted heavy bolters, fighter level las-mountings under the wings."
{Merric} "Sirius, get us the feth out of here."
