Its hard not to write off GW's point system because in the 20+ years I"ve played they've never once gotten it right.

Well they did get it right on Lord of the Rings, a pretty great edition of rules.

I think the point no one has touched on is that what GW are doing by adding in a points system is to allow tournament style pickup games into their system. Age of Sigmar was created to be a narrative game. It is supposed to be a DnD war game. A game played over several sessions with scenarios planned out by the gaming group. This is what they push for in every game they make. It is the " forging the narrative " everyone complained about that they want their games to be. At the same time they are finally starting to understand that one everyone is interested in that, not everyone has a closed gaming group, and that by playing to people who want pickup games and tournaments they

Will make more money. I'm not saying either way is the right or wrong way they are just different ways. And it is better for everyone for there to be more options of how the game can be played.

I know a few people who are interested in getting into this game and this might help them in that.
