The old Pegasus gothic ruins are basically that. Prodos/Archon also make great stuff, albeit nothing in plastic will be thick enough to be free-standing without a buttress or something.
The Pegasus sets suffer from 80% or so being windows. Covering the windows up is a lot of work and just saying 'ignore them' hurts the dungeon experience. If they'd make a set of just solid walls I'd buy a table worth tomorrow.
thanks. it will be big full set of 14pcs of prepainted terrain. 4 pipes included, 10 buildings. Also Half sets and pipes individually will be offered. we will bring more updates soon.

And to think if they'd bought one of your mats rather than that God-awful RoB stuff, they could have saved a bundle. Enough to buy even more of your mats and some terrain!
I bought two sets of your Dungeon Walls and love them! Check out my blog for some pics of our group using them.
The new Gothic Walls look amazing and I really want to get two sets plus some mats I’d like to add to my collection. But shipping to the United States is insane. Have you guys considered distribution through some US vendor? Or even using UPS?
So many good products are hiding behind that crazy shipping wall!

I have those city mats and the asphalt mat too; this is one of the best ideas I’ve seen from any mat company and it’s probably my favorite product from Urbanmatz.

thanks ! Was all done in very close cooperation with Ash Barker - Guerrilla Miniature Games and we are really happy for that !
4Ground do a lovely quasi-modern series of dwellings, though the ones in the pictures above are definitely not those - perhaps some Sarissa? Definitely look hand painted.
So those pipes cost the same than GW's, yet GW kit has about double the amount of pipes and have of course massively better quality of detail. And it is not like GW is known for their reasonable pricing. Is there actually a market for these?

Prepainted models are always going to have a cost premium. Guess it’ll be up to the market to decide if it’s worth it. Don’t know if pipes move me, but some of the rest of their stuff is mighty tempting.
I mean, I could probably print out 50 meters of them for the price of one GW kit but I still sometimes consider buying premade worth it for time alone.

the 14pcs of prepainted ready to play set is priced at 125.90 eur, that is 9 eur for 1 piece of prepainted all assembled terrain piece. we have adjusted the price of the sets of pipes to be more competitive. thanks for the feedback
That just happen to match the products they sell, and are already being adopted by large tournaments.
"Minimum" is very quickly becoming "standard".
It’s not a standard, and clearly isn’t meant to be. They’ve even made a statement about it. It’s a minimum size that allows people to use the boards they might have from KT which, by the way, they don’t even sell at the moment.

A Word on Battlefield Sizes…
A number of you have been getting in touch regarding the minimum size battlefield measurements we introduced in last week’s article. We’re happy to confirm that, yes, you can still use your 6′x4′ (or larger) gaming tables, be they gorgeously detailed Realm of Battle boards or lovingly created battlefields of your own design.
The minimum size battlefield guidelines for Combat Patrol, Incursion, Strike Force and Onslaught battles are just that – minimum sizes. They’ve been specifically designed to make the game more accessible and compact at smaller sizes (and fit on most dining room tables), but they can just as easily be played on larger battlefields as you see fit. The minimum sizes also ensure that armies in bigger games won’t be cramped on a battlefield that’s too small for them, so will still have plenty of room to manoeuvre.
Sadly the retort from those that either belive the sky is falling (or just like the new board size) will be that posts on the community don't count, only stuff in the rule book/codex do (and maybe official faqs)
Pro: This is the best looking pre painted terrain I have seen produced to date. The details are crisp, the colors were great, and it is well painted. Overall, I really like the look of the terrain and it fits into some of my other sets from Urbanmatz.
Con: the resin was very brittle and thin in some areas. Some of the thin walls were also hollow compounding the problem. This resulted in some of the terrain breaking during transit. I am not sure how well it will hold up over time, but likely with careful handling it will last years. When the box arrived two pieces of terrain were broken (see photos). One of the buildings I may be able to repair with super glue, but the second it is very unlikely I can repair it due to how many pieces it was broken into. I am not sure if I got a set with just some manufacturing defects or all of the terrain is made this way.
Summary it is the best lookIng terrain they have produced to date, but much more brittle than the ruined building set. 7.5 out of 10. An easy 10 out of 10 if the quality improves.
+++UPDATE after leaving this review Urbanmatz sent me replacement buildings and they arrived in less than a week. These pieces were not broken and look amazing. With this level of customer service I have upgraded my rating to a 9 out of 10 for these particular buildings. With the newer GW 44” x 60” the terrain really fills up most of the table using the full set.

Thanks for the review ! We check each piece of terrain before shipping so yes it must have happened during shipping. We replace all broken pieces with no problem to all of our customers so pls just email us urbanmatz@gmail.com and we will arrange replacements for you !

I'm getting the Asphalt mat next time my club does a group preorder. It'll be my first Urbanmatz mat. Really clever how it works with the 10x10" plots.

Perilous Tales and Guerrilla Miniature Games - Ash Barker, video here
Wait, how big are those secondary mats?
The website says they are 25cmX25Cm which should be a little under 10 in, but it looks like 2 right there nearly reach the board across, but is they where 25cm, shouldnt 3 feet across easily?
I really wanna order these for MCP, but im not sure.

its the 3'x3' Asphalt mat but its cut to smaller size..I think its 2'x2' size. City tiles are 25cm x 25cm indeed, indeed a little under 10 inches x little under 10 inches.
I ordered from Urbanmatz during lockdown and they provided an accurate delivery time and speedy delivery under trying circumstances. The team were responsive to questions and I was impressed by the selection of pieces on the website. Upon arrival I am very happy indeed with the quality and rugged nature of my terrain pieces. I got two half size sets, the ruins and sci fi terrain range. These will last me a long time, are deployable straight from the box and would be welcome in any hobbyist's collection.
There was one damage issue with one of the ruins pieces that had occurred in transit, however upon contacting Martin and his team, he replied near instantaneously with an offer of replacement and a discount on a future mat purchase. This was most welcome, and upon benefiting from the team's customer service I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the company to other Dakka users and those in my local friend group.

It is just a table size LOL get a grip
(though everyone knows you want a bigger table than the mat)
Manchu wrote:OF COURSE they would offer mats and tables to fit GW’s games. As long as they don’t give up on 6’x4’ entirely, how is it even a problem?
Definitely agree here!
I'm sticking with 4' x 6', and hopefully companies like URBANMATZ will too.

Definitely this too - you really want your table size to be a bit bigger than your mat size...
I wanted to pop in and provide a brief review of the products I ordered from Urbanmatz.
Quality: I couldn't be happier with the look and feel of my table setup. I ordered two half sets ( Ruins + Sci fi) which fills up a 6x4 board adequately. The build quality and rugged nature is solid - these are heavy duty casts which have a reassuring weight to them that feel like they will last through years of gaming and regular use. The ruins had a good finish with multiple layers of drybrushing, I couldn't fault the paint finish. The sci fi ruins too have a competent finish which can be deployed straight away to even the most demanding club or home game.
Range Selection: As seen from the photos posted above there is something here for any setting.
Value for money: To fill a full size table for around 160 euros is very reasonable indeed, certainly considering one large terrain feature from GW can be 40 - 50 euros. I have a good mix of small and large features and those who have visited to play have been really impressed by the professional look and feel of the new board. "It's better than in store..." has been mentioned more than once, and this is a standard I'm very happy with. I spent a good bit of time looking to build my own terrain, which is an ambition I still have, however with work and study, my free time is at a premium. Having added up a minimal cost for assembling materials to build my own, and factoring in the time I would need to assemble and finish something, I decided that my best option was to pay for this terrain to get me started and I feel this was the right decision for me/my group.
Shipping/Customer Service. I ordered my piece at the tail end of a full lockdown here in the UK and with this factored in I would say that production and delivery was prompt all things considered. The pieces arrived well packaged, individually bubble wrapped and enclosed in cut polystyrene. Unfortunately in transit one of my ruins had a small piece broken off, however upon contacting Martin and his team I was immediately provided with a confirmation of a replacement. This communication came quickly and in a very friendly manner. I wouldn't hesitate to order again given this, and overall am extremely happy with what I received.
