So a big chunk of time that I had an issue with was that, the molders capable of doing this stuff were not hard to find persay, but they had lower levels of detail from the cnc, compared to the amount the sculpts went into it. We also needed a molder capable of streamlining in freeform to CNC, and to beat the 0.2 that was so frequently common.

In the end, the waiting on details paid off.

This is the first test shot example, and I've been told the mold is going to be refined a bit more to bring out the details that much more. Despite that, take a look for yourself what HIPS is capable of ,and the level of detail.

I think the javelin thrower will look much better with shield in place, but another opportunity to see other details.

Updated with box cover, and new pewter accessories for fauns. Centaur mold is last in production. Production starts in November. Discussing some details, but we are preparing to have this available for US and EU/UK markets in time.

Nice!
Has shipping commenced yet? Did you get the UK and US distributors sorted? If you are looking for an Oceania based one it could be worth while to speak to Might Ape (either NZ or OZ).

UK, North Star Figures will start with the pick up, Wargames Atlantic will be helping us with Australia, NZ, and even some retailer support with Golden Games in the US, including ourselves. Shipping should start soon in January. A centaur box and a faun box will be made available.

That Satyr is very creepy! I really like it. Can we see some scale shots of the centaurs with something like a CMON zcide mini or Perry plastic or something standard 28-32mm scale? That one review on a blog uses Mantic minis which are all over the place in terms of scale.

Some quick shots, the models are 28mm skeletons from WGA and the other a more historical appropriate scale from a hael Caesar spartan.

Update on box design cover, a sprue pic, and some examples of put together centaurs. We've also updated the website to reflect the options a tad better.

https://rgdgaming.com/

Wargames Atlantic will be helping with distribution in the UK, and US, as well as what we stock here at HQ. As soon as boxes hit the US, backers get the first half of their centaur and faun sprues.

Injection Molded Fauns Kickstarter

So amidst the corona virus situation, borders closing and air restrictions, we've run into an issue where there is a panic surge for cargo space on the few planes that are flying out of China.

As a result, we have a situation where it is cost prohibitive at the current rate to fly product. Until this situation gets better, we will unfortunately have more delays. We're trying to reach out to the boat sector in the mean time, but either scenario has us waiting.

Deep apologies for the situation, I have had optimistic views for the past months, only to have it explode in the face as the world goes nuts.

In the mean time, enjoy your families, paint some minis, and hopefully we can get some stuff out soon.

just posted on facebook,

Air freight was ideal, 7-10 days, but less than ideal when you face a 300% mark up (ouch!). So plastics are on the boat for early May, and pewter will be expressed by DHL, but still has a wait in Hong Kong as the planes are catching up to the payloads. Should be here long before the plastics.

Either way, they are moving.

Then we can put this corona nonsense behind us, as we get the mail out. Though I understand some areas are still impacted according to UPS/Fedex, so results will vary.

Me and him were in agreeance air freight would have been the best bang for the buck, unfortunately the cost was dramatically high. Boat was best option amidst the virus. Should be good news in April and May. Especially May.

Nice one RGD!

For those in NZ who are waiting for retail for the Fauns and Centaurs, Mighty Ape says they will have them in stock by the end of this month (I presume that this also holds true for OZ).

If WGA got it in time, should come out in June for the restocks, and you guys will get first dibs. Depends on boat. The UK gobbled up a lot of the boxes. Noticed Northstar, and Miniature Market are already low or out of stock, Noble Knight in the US has some, and plenty of other smaller UK sellers.

Let me know, last thing I need to do is get the remainder of the shields and arms to those without. Had a surprise tariff around Jan-Feb, importing 10 k or so of pewter netted a 20% fee.

Please don't spend any money sending me pewter. I won't use it. If you've already included it in the box, I'll pass them on to someone who is interested.

Mine arrived today. Everything checked out that was supposed to be there.

Look to be pretty nicely scaled with the Wargames Atlantic stuff. A bit more delicate than I like in terms of small thin parts but they look quite manageable.

Quite cool that there's a male/ female sprue in addition to the centaur options. It'll be fun kitbashing them too!

I hope to put a video up this week but my motivation to do hobby stuff has been absolutely drained, but that's heading into off topic territory.

Kudos for seeing this kit to fruition and we look forward to seeing your next adventure!

By the way, does anyone know how long shipping to the Netherlands will take? (I don't have a tracing number yet, so I'm eagerly awaiting!)

First Class was normally 1-2 weeks prior to covid, if priority mail international about a week or so, depends on handling and customs. If you need tracking, robertdunham@rgdgaming.com, I have tracking for everything
