Didn't post update #40 because it was mostly administrative the most relevant information was this
ENEMY SUBSTITUTION TABLE
Also, we’ve updated the Reinforcement Packs’ enemy substitution table. Remember that the cards and tokens to play them are included in Core, Outcast, and Revenant game expansions. The Reinforcements Packs only contain the matching miniatures from the current Corvus Belli catalog.
On the other hand update #41 is a proper update

You can access Infinity Army here.
If you are new to Infinity, don’t miss our guide on how to use Army.
The fan movement first started with a backer who asked us if the campaign’s NPCs were going to have miniature representation, or would simply exist as tokens. Over the course of the campaign, this question became a suggestion; later on, a request. It was clear fans wanted miniatures of the NPCs.
Standing out among all of them, there was one that shined with her own light: Agnes Gerung. The Stalker pilot (the Defiance shuttle) is an NPC that needs to be rescued from the clutches of the Shasvastii in Mission 1. Poor Agnes stole the hearts of backers and a movement called #PrayForAgnes arose creating the need to fulfill a dream: Agnes’ miniature in Infinity Defiance. Since we here at Corvus Belli we love listening to our fans, we set a final stretch goal for the campaign starring Agnes’ miniature. The wonderful and incredible support of all the backers made us reach the almost impossible goal during the last and exciting hours of the campaign. Finally, Agnes will have her own miniature!
Today, for the enjoyment of all her fans, we are thrilled to present to you the design of the charismatic pilot!
We are still working on her sculpt, as well in Sforza’s and Cassandra Kusanagi’s. We hope we can show them to you soon!
We remind you that Agnes is a miniature included free of charge for all those who chose the Collector’s Deluxe or Platinum pledge.
Today’s update is going to focus on the Game Development Department.
That’s quite easy to describe: Crazy!
Although the rules for the Core Game and the initial campaign are almost finished, we are still polishing off some details to fine-tune its engine as much as possible.
We have already advanced quite a bit during the campaign on the graphical elements of the material that will be included in that Core box. We haven’t stopped working since then. Our partner, Keith Lowe, is currently busy with the art for the new tiles. Here is a sample:
WIP
We have also started to work on the expansions in depth. We already have the plot thread of the Outcast expansion, and some of the challenges you will have to face. Now, we just need to transfer it from our minds to paper!
But before we start designing the scenarios in detail, we have to definitively set the tiles that will be contained in the expansion. This requires your absolute and unwavering attention - We are going to propose a new set of tiles with different shapes! Yes - Your mind isn’t playing tricks on you - there will be different shapes that will give you a more narrow and intricate playing experience and, in addition to this, they will allow you to use the tiles included in the Core box in different ways to represent new locations in the Human Sphere. Although we still cannot reveal too much just yet, we can say they will represent unknown areas in the Infinity Universe.
WIP
We will start to paint them quite soon and make them truly a special environment. You will know everything about it with future updates!
I have no doubt that the game will be visually spectacular. CB has demonstrated that they know how to do that. The components that they have produced are proof of that.
I would like to see some sort of interlocking for the tiles, ike the D&D adventure boardgames have.
Either way, I intend to enjoy the game with my group.
The orange and grey of Agnes, combined with the thick black-lining of the artwork gives me an Oni vibe (for those that remember Bungie's halo-precursor). That's not a criticism.
Generally speaking particularly with digital sculpts the norm is to pick from a few options. A lot of these were likely existing alts or in the pipeline one way or another. Similar to how most of the Wyrd exclusives are clearly figures that just weren't chosen to be part of the retail release for a minion set.
Christmas is coming, but at CB we don't stop working on Infinity Defiance! You saw in a recent update that we are manufacturing the first Core miniatures. The first miniatures are already in bags. We are moving forward at a good pace!
weasel_beef wrote: Can't believe I missed the KS. Will late pledges get the stretch goals unlocked during the campaign?
I'm pretty sure late pledges do NOT contribute towards unlocking further stretch goals: whatever was unlocked at the end of the funding period is what's unlocked. Unless of course Corvus Belli decides to throw extra stuff in, but that's entirely up to them, and I don't think that it benefits them all that much as it probably wouldn't really help encourage further pledging.
Having said that, normally unlocked stretch goals are usually available to late backers (assuming decides to allow new backers to pledge now that the funding period is over, which they are likely to - why say no to money?), but there was some weirdness in this project where CB changed some language about what would be available in the pledge manager once the funding period ended (it sounded like they were trying to get people to pledge significant amounts during the funding period rather than waiting for the post-funding pledge manager), so I'm not sure exactly what will be available for late backers.

Cool, thank you. I'll keep an eye out for their newsletter, would love to hop on this one.

Not only would the various character minis be great for a sci-fi RPG, the system should lend itself to RPGing with the minor add of some social and investigation skill trees.

I might have given this a little thought
They already have an RPG for the setting, just FYI. I played it for a little bit, not enough to get a real assessment.
We hope you are enjoying the Christmas season with your loved ones and looking forward to an exciting 2020. We are working hard so Infinity Defiance can reach your hands as soon as possible.
We are giving you a very special calendar to celebrate the start of a new year: wallpapers for your PC with some amazing designs, one for each month! You can easily download them by clicking on the image:
In other news, we are continuing to work on the 3D renders of the last three miniatures unlocked during the campaign. You got the chance to see Padre Lucien Sforza just a couple of weeks ago. Now, to end this fantastic year, we want to show you what Reverend Superior Cassandra Kusanagi, leader of the Reverend Moiras de Bakunin (Nomads) looks like:
We leave behind an amazing and intense 2019, especially due to your support for Infinity Defiance. Thank you so much!
See you in the next update, already in 2020! Happy New Year everyone!
Yeah that is another nice sculpt - only personal nitpick is the sword looks a little oddly shaped (but maybe that is consistent with other minis in this range/faction? Im not super familiar with it...)
So am I to understand that the playable characters are still limited to the named individuals in the core boxed set and expansions, and that we won't be able to incorporate other models/units into the game- in other words, a Ranger or a Sin-Eater or Kriza Borac?

That's correct.
However, there's enough cross over in the stats between the two games, that it shouldn't be too hard to create them yourself.
We’re giving it our all to meet the promised shipping schedule. There’s much to be done!
Today, we wanted to show you the stuff we’ve been working on this past few days. For example, the definitive pieces of the Scenery Pack. These 3D originals are ready to be sent for final production. We can’t wait to have them in our hands!
Likewise, we also have the definitive originals for Reinforcement and threat tokens, and the 40mm base adapter. There’s so much to begin producing!
And to conclude this show and tell session of upcoming productions, something truly big. Equally loved and feared, the MEGALODRON’s definitive version is ready! We’ve taken some pictures and made a video to show it to you in all of its gigantic glory. Poor Uma looks like an ant beside it!
The rest of the update has not much more, just notifying Agnes will be available in the army and the pledge manager is been worked on testing it.
Agnes comes to life! We’re as eager to begin with the Pledge Manager as you are. We always try to do things the best we possibly can, and that’s why we’re testing and working out its details before we release it. We’re really close!
As you all know, if for whatever reason you’ve been left out of the Kickstarter, you have a second chance to get all the pledges, their free content and add-ons, and even increase your pledge level. We’ll let you know how to do this as soon as it’s ready!
Meanwhile, we’re working non-stop!
Agnes lives!
Today we have Agnes’ render and a bit of detail about her. The surnames of Flight Officer Agnes Gerung Ferreira follows, as is tradition on her native planet of Acontecimento, the Portuguese method of placing the maternal surname first, though it is the second surname (her father’s surname that is) the one that’s used.
That’s why you’ll find her in the Infinity Army as Agnes Ferreira.
Production will begin shortly and you’ll be able to see her in metal.
We hope you liked Agnes. See you in the next update!
We know you’re eager for us to launch the Pledge Manager, and we know we set January as its release date. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to launch it this week given that it needs an extra couple of days to get the final details right (since it is a Pledge Manager of our own, we’re not using a third party). We’ll let you know through every available channel as soon as we have a definitive release date.
Nevertheless, this small setback with the Pledge Manager doesn’t affect the rest of the project in the slightest. Development and production of Infinity Defiance is in full stride, with 90% of the Core miniatures and approximately 20% of the Collector’s Box miniatures already manufactured. This is the current state of the project:
CORE
Sculpts & 3D Prints - 100%
Art - 90%
Molds - 100%
Manufacture of miniatures - 90%
Game development - 90%
Translation - 70%
Graphic Design & Layout - 40%
COLLECTORS
Sculpts & 3D Prints - 100%
Molds - 100%
Manufacture of miniatures - 20%
We’ll keep working hard to meet the promised deadlines.
On the other hand, we can show you the final cards for some of the game’s weapons. We hope you like them!
That’s it for today’s update. See you in the next one!
It's a kickstarter. Get used to the delays. This one sounds like a week or so. Meh. When do things 'need' to go to the printers to make the ship date, late May?
I know, CB promised a July ship date, but realistically, Infinityefiance
Which is fine. We will have the plenty of Code1 in the meanwhile. And come this autumn, a nice little co-op dungeon crawl.
Today we bring you something you haven't seen yet - alien tiles!
One of Infinity Defiance’s best aspects is its rich narrative and overall immersive ambience. For that reason, we paid the utmost attention to even the smallest of details, like the game tiles, so the game’s atmosphere becomes as immersive as possible.
You’ll be able to go deep into unexplored alien territory!

That’s not all, we’ve left the best for last!
We can finally deliver the news you’ve been so eagerly expecting - we’re opening the Pledge Manager! Save the date!
Tuesday, 18 February
We’ll keep it open for a month, until March 18, so you can access to all the products conveniently.
With you in mind, we are also making a user manual for this Pledge Manager - so the process is as easy and effortless as possible.
We remind you that the Pledge Manager will also allow you to customize your pledge with the add-ons you want, increase your pledge level, or even order more copies of the game. The Pledge Manager is also where you will be able to pay shipping, to ensure prompt delivery As well, it will allow those of you who contributed 1€ or couldn’t contribute at all a chance to order your copy of Infinity Defiance.
We just wanted to clarify that the Pledge Manager's programming was outsourced to freelancers due to the high workload of our IT department.
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding!
We keep working to make sure this product is delivered in a timely fashion with as few hiccups as possible. Be sure to check us out in the next update.
Will it come in Code One and N4 version? Well, it should be easy enough for me. Set up the shipping and done. Unless they tempt me with individual minis... then things get complicated.
They went with a pledge manager service Gamefound after all that noise about building one, probably realized whatever they were building from scratch wouldn't be ready in a realistic timeframe. Got my pledge manager email, not going to log into it till I get home tonight. I'll PROBABLY just pay for shipping, i don't think there's anything I need to add that I didn't already include in my original pledge.
Shipping is $21.42 for me, which is a little less than I expected. However, the single shipping option for just the collector's level is for 2nd wave/November 2020. Hmmm. We'll see.
As you know, the Pledge Manager opened its gates on February 18. An e-mail with a link to your Gamefound account has been sent to those of you who participated in the Kickstarter.
Please check your spam box if you didn’t receive it, and if you still haven’t found it, contact us and we’ll send you the link. Send an e-mail to contact@corvusbelli.com and we’ll help you.
In today’s update, we’ll show you how to substitute enemies in a mission.
Let’s do this!
Mission 1
We’re substituting Units from the Basic Box to make a multi-faction force. Shasvastii infiltration has reached unprecedented levels, and their agents have fabricated incriminating evidence against our Heroes - branding them as traitors. As a direct result of these actions, they are now being hunted down by the armies of the Human Sphere.
According to the Mission Instructions, the Aligned Units are these:
1 [Card]Nox Spec-Ops
1 [Card]Nox Leader
1 [Card]Nox Hacker
1 [Card]Cadmus
1 [Card]Gwailo
1 [Card] Naish Sheskiin
Let’s now check each Unit’s type in the substitution table:
We can replace any of the Nox Units for another Light Infantry type: In this case, we’ll substitute 1 [Card]Nox Spec-Ops for 1 [Card]Dakini from Aleph.
Since we don’t have any more Light Infantry Units in Aleph, we’ll substitute the rest with Units from another faction: We’ll substitute 1 [Card]Nox Hacker for 1 [Card]Khawarijs from Haqqislam and 1 [Card]Nox Leader for 1 [Card]Kappa from O-12.
As for Medium Infantry Units, we’ll substitute 1 [Card]Cadmus for 1 [Card]Kamau Hacker from PanOceania.
For Heavy Infantry we’ll substitute 1 [Card]Gwailo for 1 [Card]Gamma from O-12.
And lastly, we’ll substitute 1 [Card]Naish Sheskiin for a Boss A: 1[Card]Shatki, Yadu Officer.
Note: “Boss A” And “Top A” are the same.
We hope this information proves useful.
Thank you for reading and supporting us! We will keep you posted throughout this crucial time for the campaign.
Today, March 18th, is the last day that the Pledge Manager will remain open. However, there are still many backers who have not closed your order yet. That is why we decided that we are going close the Pledge Manager only for new contributions starting tomorrow, and, the backers who have not yet been able to close the order will have until April 1st to do so through Gamefound.
If for any reason, after April 1st there are still some of you who have not closed their order at Gamefound, it will only be possible to close it via email directly with us. In these cases, it won’t be possible to add any items to the order and the shipping costs will have to be made in a single payment (at the end of the year).
We ask for your cooperation. It would be really helpful if all the orders were closed as soon as possible. This way we will be able start production as quickly and accurately as possible, helping us to achieve the expected transit times.
On the other hand, we should use this opportunity to inform you that since last Monday, the pre-order of our new Infinity product: Operation Kaldstrom has been active. A new 2-player battle pack that includes everything needed for two players as an introduction to the Infinity Universe. In addition to this, the new battle box is the starting point of Infinity CodeOne, a simplified version of Infinity with the same dynamism and spirit. If you have supported Infinity Defiance and have never played Infinity before, this is the best time to dive into the Human Sphere. Be sure not to miss it!
They really should be showing much, much more of what the new Code One rules are, and N4, if they really want people who are new or returning to buy into this pre-order.
The current Infinity audience likely already has a lot of these miniatures. Anyone who left Infinity previously is looking to see if the writing has improved, and anyone new will want to know exactly what they're getting into to make them play despite having so many other games available.
So, I placed my order back on 3/2/2020, have been watching for the 18th of March, and now it is the 30th, what do you mean close the order? I thought it was all set and waiting for shipping? I await the Megalodron
Closing/locking your order just means you paid for everything you wanted - including shipping.
Shipping is going to be in either one wave or two waves - depending on what you paid for.
From their Kickstarter FAQ:
Users may choose a single shipping or two shippings.
If you choose a two-wave shipping (wave 1 and wave 2) we will send your stuff in two parts, so you will have your game earlier. .
In wave 1, the Core, Collector’s, and Deluxe will be sent, but not the expansion or the add-ons. Excepting cardsleeves and the Scenery Pack. Wave 1 will be shipped in July 2020.
In wave 2, the expansion and the rest of the add-ons will be shipped. It will be shipped in fall 2020.
In short, if you choose the Platinum pledge you may receive the Core, Collector's & Deluxe contents first and the expansion and addons later, or all at the same time in wave 2. Of course, receiving everything together saves you money in shipping costs.
If you choose a single shipping we will send everything in wave 2.
Not sure where the Megalodron fits in that schedule though - sorry!
How are you? We hope that you are all healthy and respecting the measures imposed by governments to stop the spread of Covid-19. At CB, we are all well. Part of our team is working remotely from their homes and we keep working hard on our projects, including of course, Infinity Defiance.
Today, we wanted to show you some Core enemy cards. You know that the Shasvastii, along with the Nox, Cadmus and company, are the basic enemies in the game - but you also know that there are alternative enemies, such as Morats and Onyx. We bring you a couple of enemies from each of these two groups so you can see how scary they are:
As you can see, they are fearsome enemies that are going to turn the Defiance mission into a very complicated journey. For example, the Oznat has a passive ability that allows the ever annoying Gakis and Pretas to return to the game board at no cost at the end of the round. You will have to deal with it as soon as possible!
If you think the Oznat seems dangerous, what do you think of the Umbra Samaritan? Those 12 health points together with his ability to heal himself when he inflicts wounds will make him truly fearsome. You will have to devise a good strategy and improve your characters in order to defeat the enemies of the Human Sphere!
These are the alternative enemies inside the Morat and OnyxReinforcement Pack . If you had no interest in these packs (or you already have the miniatures), don't worry, because both the profile cards and their tokens are included in the Core.
Lastly, the deadline to close your pledges at Gamefound ended on April 1st. If you have any problems or queries, or you could not finish your order, be sure to write us to contact@corvusbelli.com
I guess Ill do an update dump of the last updates for anybody who did not got to see them.
Defiance improvements
Hello dear backers!
As with all of our most recent updates , we hope you are all healthy and safe in your homes. We all continue to do well, working and following all the recommended security procedures in place .
News! At long last, the unboxing of the core, collector and scenery pack. This is the wave 1 stuff. No mention of the Agnes mini. Maybe it is wave 2?
Also, Dead Fusiliers.
PsychoticStorm wrote: That is a really big box, love it is designed to fit the components.
Are there plans to release retailer version with plastic only minis in the future?
Not at all, the whole thing was KS exclusive. They do not even plan to release the miniatures as separate products for Infinity.
This was a one time chance I'm afraid.
