The mirelurk king is very nice, but I'm a touch worried the hand and feet are integrated into the base.
Also, it looks like the new eyebots are resin...I'd gotten the idea they'd be plastic as the resin sculpts were too flimsy and kept breaking on mold removal - I guess the new sculpts solved that issue?
Still, some interesting stuff in this release. Not least of which the rumored rules updates coming with the Nuka-World book. I was very pleased with the pre-made profiles and the region overlay charts in the Capital expansion, so I'm eager to see what actual rules updates can do to manage the complexity and card bloat.
yes, 3 to a sprue. Raiders are 10 to a box.
Not sure on the Mirelurk king but I own every creature they're released and only bugs and molerats have anything attached to the base so I'd be surprised if this was.
Eyebots are resin. They solved the issue of breaking parts by just removing those parts. there are drill holes for you to add your own antani.
Didn't post the rules changes:
There are some armor changes coming. Starting with wave 9 all humans and human like models will have 0 armor values and only get it from equipment. Mutants/ghouls will have X still for Rad damage. This makes armor less confusing and also makes the armor that's just not a modifier actually useful in the game and is very welcome.
There's a slight aura rework to explain buffing and debuffing auras better (up and down arrows).
Also in the wave 9 book there will be rules explaining more quick actions that exist but never have rule entries like specific weapon types that some units have.
The wave 9 book also represents a overhaul on how they organize books. The books now have different color coded sections that cover rules, painting guides and such. Also being included is the "Vaultec Approved" section (which is blue) where they have pre-made loadouts for all units (and cap costs) so no more having to build units to play. On Monday we're getting a blog post showing these off as they didn't have one for the stream (Jon forgot).
I'll have to look up the name of the guy they used for the book reorganization but he's a prominent designer, or was at some point as Jon called that out, and I think there's a lot of hints now that wave 10 (Fallout 76) will get us a new starter with plastics and updated rules (integrated errata as a lot has been changed over the past 3 years in the forums).
Also, lastly, Jon is no longer working on the Fallout Lines. He stepped down earlier in the year to do his other Job at Modiphius (as he's been doing both for years) and there are two new line managers for FWW and Factions. So while he'll still be around he may not be answering questions as he just won't know much what's going on.
