What space marine chapter looks the best?

Personally I think the scourged look pretty cool. Too tzeentchy for my liking though, more of a nurgle fan, hence the cleaved are the actual colours i painted my DG

Salamanders. I will never paint or play with them myself but the jet black skin, red eyes, and vivid green armor is amazing looking!

All space marines tend to look the same to me, which is why i favor the space wolves and thousand sons. At least theyve got more charachter than the others.

Dark Angels and Salamanders are quite easy to paint (dark green. I mean, come on.) and look nice. Space Wolves are a bit harder to pull off but look pretty awesome. I've yet to see an even 50%+ painted Space Wolf army, though.

I have. A couple, actually. While they look good, by and large the 'character' the models possess is not cohesive, and it makes the army as a whole seem too busy, visually speaking. Taken squad by squad, they are gorgeous. When viewed as a whole they tend to be a bit disjointed, but if you like that sort of thing it would only add to the effect.

I prefer the uniform look of most loyalist Chapters. The individual characterization should be there, but not overtly so. I like my armies like a Bev Doolittle painting. The overall effect is cohesive and self-evident, but there are all kinds of details there that require you to actually look for them.

That's why I chose to paint Imperial Fists, the colour schemes set them apart from the humdrum Codex Chapters.

Codex Marines = Imperial Fists

Non Codex = Dark Angels (hands down)

Chaos Marines = World Eaters and Iron Warriors (black and yellow black and yellow black and yellow... stripes)

Can't offer objective facts as to which looks the best, but my favorite is probably Salamanders. Such a pretty shade of green. ^_^

Loyalist: I've always liked the aesthetic of the Black Templars.

Traitor: Hmm, I would say the Thousand Sons, maybe the World Eaters.

I like the flesh terrors Scheme but especially their shoulder pads.

I love the look of Word Bearers, and also Blood Angels, so I made my own renegade chapter inspired off both!!

Thats cool. I think Sanguinius is my favorite primarch. I just an't gaet enough Blood Angels lol.

Stylistically the Space Berserkers are some of the best looking sculpts for marines. The Baroque elements of the Vampire Angels are pretty cool as well.

When considering color, I have a soft spot for the Imperial Fists.

In the fluff, it's really hard to beat the Thousand Sons imagery. At least in my minds eye.

I personally prefer the Ultramarines and a sea of blue. I'm an ordered, quiet person by nature not given to ostentatious displays.

Personally, I kind of dig the Red Scorpion get up.

Have you ever heard of the Crimson Claws? A SW chapter.

I really like "the cleaved" as a CSM colour scheme.

- Sexy and slimming black.
- white or bone shoulder pads.
- scarlet and gold accents to taste.

The basic troops look great plus you get some nice variation with your elite units. you have Scarlet armored tech-maines, white/bone apothecaries, and gold armored command units. Then you have your veterans with black armor and slick looking white helmets. Add in the knightly helmets, chained weapons, and tabards; and Templars just look epic.

Salamanders if done properly. Hand painted fire effects, drake skin hanging off their armour, mixed armour and weapon variants due to hiigh degrees of master crafting, lots of flamers and thunder hammers.

Completely fething awesome.

Wow, quite a few votes for Space Wolves. Personally, I find all the teeth and wolf tails kind of goofy-looking, but that's just me. Out of the loyalists, the Black Templar probably strike the most stylish figure. Black is always classy.

I gotta say space wolves. Barbaric and completely different from the average imperium chapter. I love the fluff and how each wolf is individualistic.
