I plan this in distant future. Now I do it more for fun.
I'm learning how to use tools, try different materials, and thing like that.
Would you be interested in buying?
thanks. I do my best.
I'm not an expert, but do You think that it is a good idea to make some tutorials? How to make basic tools or what is necessary to start.
Highly inspiring stuff! It is hard to judge their scale, but attention to detail is great. You have my respect! Please do (and post) more of Your work!
mag : We are planning to start sell them about first days of April 2016. I know that is a lot of time, but I hope to this time I will have many cool stuff for You
Wirecat : The scale is similar like in GW or AOW
LeCacty and Warboss_Waaazag : Thanks for the support Guys !!
LeCacty: I will make some tutorials when i end this "huge" project.
What kind of miniatures You will like to see after this "huge" one? Some SF stuff, demom, dragon, war robot ? Write Your ideas and i will try to make them.
So for the armor, because Ive been curious about armor sculpting in general, do you just make a rough shape and then file it to perfect it or what? Great progress on that guy!
it depends on what materials you use (GS, Super Sculpey etc.) and what is the scale of model.
In small models i try to make as perfect shape as i can, and then i add some details.
When i make bigger models i use Super Sculpye (which i recoment in bigger scale). In this sytuation i make a "sketch" of body shape (like this second right hand on my last wip), and then make a rough shape of armour. After it, You file whole part of model to perfect.
You can also make small research of medieval armour, and how it was shaped during the years.
If You have any other question feel free to ask.
If you haven't you should look into the art work of From Software's Souls series. Demon's souls, Dark souls (1-3) and Bloodborne all have fantastic monster design art and it would fit your sculpting style pretty well.
The banner bearer is really cool. Your models most definitely have a cohesive style to them, any plans of casting? I could easily see an army made of these
I must apologise. I wrote some time ago that with the end of March i put recast miniatures for sale. Because of technical problem it will happen later (probably three weeks, but i'm not sure).
I going to make project on wspieram.to (Polish Kickstarter). I will be much easier for me to control it . What do You think about this idea?
KernelTerror - I want to make it more in Slaanesh style. I have few project in this style, but not finished. I will upload some of them in future .
LeCacty - i was a great thing to work on this miniature. I try make make all factures as real as i can. Lot of work, but also lot of fun
I'm ending some miniatures form my sketches, and working on board game ( lot of work ... ), but i hope to find some time for new projects.
Old projects:
i would like to thanks all people that try to support RF project on wspieram.to.
If anyone have question about it feel free to ask rotten.factory@gmail.com I'm still working on board game.
(Few days ago I tested "Rotten Sanctuary" with friends - believe me that it is lot of work with it, but i try to make it as awesome as i can).
Very promising stuff, the concept art on the two priests is especially interesting to me. I just saw Batushka live yesterday and had a blast. Thought I needed to convert some kind of chaos priests with the same kind of outfit...
Looks like a pretty decent warrior to me, what precisely are you unhappy with ? The shield might seem a bit small compared to some heroic scale minis, but depending the guy's fighting style it can definitely make sense.
Just guessing here, but depending on the backstory of the Inquisitor of Light maybe is he a bit too barbarian looking, and not solemn enough. That will definitely be fixed when he gets the same hat as in the concept art. Another idea, could be changing his pectoral tattoos to an actual metallic pectoral plate...or engraving the lines in the model ?
Still, just my two cents, he already is looking badass, keep it up.
Sory for this long brake
Thanks KernelTerror for Your opinion.
I was unhappy with it generally, but when i add some details it starting to look better ;p. I will try to work with the symbol on the metal plate.
Inquisitors of Light are something between holy inquisition and berserkers. They feel no pain, and no fear .
It's already been a year since the Rotten Factory has been founded.
Thank you all for your great support !!
I will do my best to show You lots of new models and other stuff in the next year.
Beast WIP. I want to give him sth like throne with rotten king on top of this beast:
Progress with Rotten Dwarf
Rotten Champion ... I hate this guy ... Three times I tried to finish him and change sth every time. I'm still not happy with his head and whole composition. Maybe becouse i spent so many hours sculpting it ...
And for dessert Rotten Barbarian. I plan to make five of them as a set:
Sorry for such a long brake, but i have many problems with custing my minis, and it took all me free time. But now i will have some more free time to finish my projects !
Yes i was a big step for me in new year . In this post i want to post You link to my web store, but ... i have problems with paypal module and it don't work . But all miniatures that You can see on the photos above are ready for sell (giant is now in four parts - i had to fix mold to cast it in better quality)
New Year and new challenges:
Commissions
Some stuff for WDG armybook for The Night Age (top secret ;P)
Casting miniatures, making molds
Making tutorials
And trying to finish my old project:
It''s big, but I don't think it''s too big. The spikes might be a little overpowering visually speaking. It''s going to depend on the model that''s sitting in it, and the final size of the model the throne is on. Right now it''s difficult to tell for certain.
Throne size looks reasonable, this is a chair that is supposed to be imposing and say "I own the place !". But as said above, it also depends on the model sitting in it (if any) and on the look you want t convey.
Thanks everyone for comments, and nice words .
I didn't have many time in this week so my progress is very small :(. I hope in February i will be able to finish many of my projects.
Lot's of work ! I start new projects, finish and refresh old one, and make some bits. Few miniatures are in silicone now, and i will try to make them available soon.
These are some beautiful new designs, I already know what I would do to some of em!
I Think you are right switching to indiegogo, you'll have better visibility there.
I will need your help in my new crowdfunding project.
Please help me to release new Rotten miniatures by sharing this link with your friends.
You will find there a lot of new stuff, hope you'll like it!
Wow, that pose is sick man ! Well done ! He reminds me of a zombie, from Resident Evil I think, walking on a crooked foot and dragging an axe behind him...
