For years I wanted to have a old school Chaos Warband - a mix of daemons, monsters, Chaos Marines, Chaos Warriors, just anything that would scratch that old 80/90s vibe and what my vision of Chaos is. I don't care if it is fantasy or sci-fi, it just has to be weird and over the top. Minis had been bought, built and undercoated but nothing ever stuck until last year and I started to build some Nurgle Daemons. From here I have actually made some progress and am really enjoying putting this warband together. I've no real interest in playing 40k or AoS with the warband and I'm happy to use models from any manufacturer, as well as doing a bit of converting myself.
The first lot of Nurgle models I painted for the Warband.
As you can see I like my minis to be somewhat individual, the warp is a weird place and I don't see legions of daemons coming out of it all the same. More examples are the Pink Horrors and Bloodletters I also have painted up.
I've also painted up some non- GW things.
Some models are old and repurposed
And some have even been converted
While others are straight from the box
There is plenty more painted, and as I add more minis, I'll take more photos and group shots.
Last thing I finished were these large maggots from Zinge Industries
And I am currently working on a unit of Nurgle Raptors. One down, four to go.
Any questions, don't be afraid to ask, and there are more images of various things in my gallery.

There's a lot to like here. Great painting and fun models. Skeletor is a welcome sight, and the joy-riding Plaguebearers are awesome.

Hey mate,
Great start to this blog. I love the mix of minis and the real "straight outta warp" vibe from these guys. The different tones on the daemons just work; the bloodletters I think are particularly effective.
Hope to see some group shots soon. Looking forward to seeing where this goes!

Thank you both for dropping in and your kind words, it is very much appreciated!
Got my Nurgle Raptors finished up. Only five to begin with, I do have another box (somewhere) but quite fancy doing some of the Warp dudes, whose name I can't remember. I bought these when they were first released, then built them last year, so it is nice to get them done. There was a little conversion work on them, just a few spots and gribbly bits added, nothing too much. I honestly don't know if Nurgle Raptors are even a thing, but I should have given the special weapons marine a plasma gun instead of a melta.
The figures are a little top heavy, so the cheapest way to add a little weight... cost me 5p!
Next up is a Khorne thingy (I'm rubbish with names), it has wheels and bloodletters and some old GW daemons and a few things from CP models. Trying to paint and do subassemblies for the Khorne thingy as I have an awful bad habit of building things to completion then getting frustrated when I can't get at bits to paint.

Hey, old-school Daemonettes! Can't wait to see those painted. Raptors look good. I like the spot colors against all the green.

Post by: RobertsMinis
Cheers. Haven't put paint to the Daemonettes yet but have got a few bits done.
The daemons in the front are from CP Models in the UK and a homemade objective token is hiding in the back. They have a huge range and are decent sculpts for the price. I'm a fan, especially as these ones are one piece metals. The little objective token is just a base, greenstuff and a toothpick. I really must get better at taking photos of stuff before I paint it.
A cross between a daemon and Slimer from Ghostbusters. Wanted the teeth and eyes to really stand out, and I did, even though it looks wrong, but it is a daemon, it should look wrong. Also got a bloody base, just to make it stand out a little more...
I've already painted four of these daemons, and I've two more to go. They are smaller than GW Plaguebearers so will work as lesser daemons. I'll take a group photo when I have the others painted and some comparison shots with other models.
Just something I did when I mixed up too much greenstuff. Will do as an objective token.
Anyway... work in progress time...
A little bit more done on the Skullcannon... but it might turn into the chariot thing.
Trying an experiment with packing peanuts or whatever they are called... I hate the amount of waste you get with orders, so try and do the odd experiment to see if I can throw less out and make something useful out of it. It has been coated with a bit of basing texture and with the right paint job with perhaps look Nurgly. It is only costing me time and a few consumable materials.

The slimer demon is neat, creepy and a little bit cute all at once, while still looking demon-y

Slimer. That's fantastic!
88452
Post by: RobertsMinis
The Slimer Daemon is great. Reminds me that I have an actual not-Slimer from Crooked Dice somewhere that I still need to paint... sometime!
Anyway, I have another few minis finished, and I think it is all the Nurgly things I have painted from CP Models. I will get my camera out someday instead of relying on my phone.
The whole unit is show below and a comparison in size with some GW Plague Bearers. Not bad for £13 and a little postage.
I also got a Plague Doctor from CP Models finished as well. She is not going to cure you though for she works for Papa Nurgle!
This is a group shot of all my Nurgle Daemons I have painted at the moment... but I forgot to included the 6 bases of Nurglings I have.
Anyway, coming next...
More Plague Daemons, this time by Heresy Miniatures.
I've started working on some Plague Marines.
And I continue to build and add more base colours to the Skullthrone/BloodCannon or whatever it is called!

Thank you, KernelTerror, appreciate the kind words!
Just a quick update. Unseasonably dry weather has meant doing outside jobs during my freetime but I have started to build and get some minis ready for painting. Thankfully it is pissing out of the heavens again, so I will get plenty of hobby time over the next few days.
The Minotaur is from Zealot Miniatures and I had so little work to do on it. Possibly one of the best cast minis I have ever gotten my hands on. The Hellhound is from Heresy Miniatures and I decided to pin everything. The amount of green stuff is a reflection of my hobby skills rather than the quality of the sculpts.
A group of Plague Demons from Heresy - these have more pins in them than Barry Sheene (internet points if you know who he is) and the amount of green stuff is again no reflection of the sculpts, more me trying to make sure they stay together when I drop them, because that is a certainty.
More stuff I've been building. The Chaos Warriors are an eBay rescue project. There are another 6 or 7 sitting in Dettol waiting to be cleaned up.
More minis that have been rescued and are going to join my Warbands... I will need to sculpt wings for the Harpies/Furies... but for £1.20 of eBay, it will be a fun and challenging mini project.

Just a lot more drilling and gluing.
Got a few old school Grenadier evil warriors and a bunch of Beastmen with no weapons.
Weapons and banner poles added to the Beastmen, a lot of greenstuffing to come and the Grenadier minis are ready for a prime.
Also have a bunch of these shields, so one is going to be used on the Beastmen. I think I got these shields in the 90s.
More recent purchases have been this Minotaur and The Gargoyle of Litchmyre from Zealot Miniatures. The Gargoyle is going to be painted like a Khorne Daemon and will be a decent proxy as a Daemon Prince (not that I play any games that need a Daemon Prince, but oh well).
I was going to say that these Chaos Warriors were ready for priming but the photo shows I have done an awful job cleaning the heads so I'll have to go back and sort those mould lines out. (I really should have stripped the paint on the heads, but...)

I've got a bit of painter's block, so just trying to get bits and pieces done. A few minis finished, though, but have been working mostly on terrain and getting minis prepped for painting.
These are the only minis I have got finished. These are Maggotmen and Maggotwomen from Heresy Miniatures. Really nice sculpts and these were mostly painted with GW Contrast and washes.
Below are a few group shots with other maggots and a frog familiar. All from Heresy and all painted earlier this year.
I also have gotten some Age of Sigmar scatter terrain painted.
and have started work on the bigger pieces
You can see how disorganised I am and also that I have added a little bit of texture to the buildings.
The metal beastmen are just about ready to be primed... I've one weapon to finish one another model.
My Plague Tree that I am making from wire, packing peanuts and PVA is growing.
And I've finished the base for the Khorne Skull Chariot thing... I'll add some tufts to finished when the model is glued to the base.
Until next time!

Another Plague Marine done, spending too much time on them really, but they are great figures and really enjoyable to paint.
And with his mate
Work in Progress now.
A couple more Plague Marines getting base coats on.
My Harpy/Daemons have gotten wings. I was going to make them myself but realised I had these ones from Kromlech and that will save a lot of time... not that I am in a rush or anything.
And more work on the Plague Hauler. It is going to be like a snail type thing. It makes sense in my head so will see were it goes.
Until next time!

Wow some great stuff in here! I'm excited to see where you take the Hulk conversion! Will keep checking back here!
88452
Post by: RobertsMinis
Thanks, FeistyRips, hopefully I can do it justice.
Just some work in progress today.
First thing I did was to get base coats onto the Plague Hauler
The main body is Zandri Dust drybrushed up to an off white. The feshy bits are silver over a offwhite base coat plus a bit of pink and bronze. Then I added Contrast Paint, mostly Plague Bearer Flesh (I think that is what it is called) plus a few other purples, blues and greens. I'll start detailing it tomorrow.
Quiet like how it looks so far... saying that, I wish I had of converted it differently. The bit of armour under the weapons would have looked so much better continuing the horizontal levels from the tail bit. When I do another, and if I go for a similar look, I'll keep it in mind.
The Hulk has also gotten a bit of work. I added more foil, some waste packing paper and hot glue to build up the belly before starting to add some green stuff. First photo was just roughing out the shape and then later I added the detail, which you can see in the photo below.
88452
Post by: RobertsMinis
More WIP on the Hulk Daemon Conversion thing...
I'm having fun!
88452
Post by: RobertsMinis
Upper body mostly done. I might add a few cut in bits so not everything is just stuck on top. Need to work on the legs. I think I am going to sand/file the trousers to give it a material like texture as well as add a few patches of skin showing through. Then to make a Plague Sword!
88452
Post by: RobertsMinis
Plague Hauler is now finished (well it needs a varnish, but apart from that it is finished).
Apologies for the photos, I will try and get them in focus in the future I have a camera and tripod, I'm just too lazy to find it and set it up.
With one made straight from the box
Didn't realise I had it on the wrong sized base... oops, not that it will ever matter and if someone complains if I do ever play 40k, well, we will only play once...
Also..
I probably have enough parts to do another one
95538
Post by: KernelTerror
Very nice hauler !
And the nurgle hulk is looking quite promising itsself !
88452
Post by: RobertsMinis
Thank you, much appreciated!
Started painting and working on my Khorne thing again
And more stuff done on the HulkDaemon
Run out of Green Stuff but have more on the way.
88452
Post by: RobertsMinis
Realised I had brown stuffs so basically finished the basic PlagueDaemonGiantHulk. I am tempted to add some skulls hanging on chains and stuff but happy how it has turned out so far.
The sword was a basic shape cut from plastic card, then hot glued over to create a Nurgly texture.
So you can see the size of it
I have some 13cm diameter pieces of wood coming to use as a base but the feet are going to hang over it slightly. Will probably screw the model onto the wood. Will get a far better idea of how it looks once I prime it.
95538
Post by: KernelTerror
Oh wooow, this is muuuch bigger that I thought is was, the amount of greenstuff put into this great enterprise !
Skulls on chains might help sell the size difference with regular models by the way, I'd suggest to try to see how they fit.
The other thing you could put on it would be a loooot of nurglings.
88452
Post by: RobertsMinis
Some good ideas, KernelTerror, cheers. I have some of Kromlech's not-Nurglings somewhere and some spare GW ones, so I will probably add them to the base... maybe a Plague Bearer or some slug, snail, maggot things as well.
As I wait for the base to arrive got my 4th Plague Marine finished. I need to find where I have hidden the rest of them and get at least a squad of seven or my Papa will not be pleased!
A bit rough in places but I think they look the part all squaded up

Very interesting take on a Nurgle Daemon! So much detail you added with the greenstuff, this will surely look amazing when painted! But the guy is yuuuge
88452
Post by: RobertsMinis
Yeah, he is a big boy... 12 inches of prime nurgle goodness! Works out a little taller than a Warhound Titan, so perfect for a massive Daemon. I ordered a 130mm wooden circle to use as a base but it is far too small...
Decided to give myself a break from Green Stuffing and got a load more work done on the Khorne BloodThrone thing.
It was now I realised I had forgotten to add a couple of pieces to the roller piece in the middle
Had enough for the day, there is a lot of detail...

Most of the colours blocked in. Basically I use layers of contrast paints to get a base colour, then drybrush and glaze it with washes and more contrast paint. Once I am happy with the overall look, I'll add detail and highlights/shades where I think it needs it.

Very very cool, especially pleasant sword !
88452
Post by: RobertsMinis
Cheers, I think the sword is quite effective especially as it is just a bit of plastic card, hot glue and some paint.
Anyway, I have started another Build Your Own project. Currently can't afford to spend the money on a Great Unclean One (and there are quite a few nice Not- GUO on the market that are also out of my price range) so...
It is now I realise the arms are far too low.
Bulked up the body with cheap foil and hot gun
Using up Das Clay I suddenly remembered I had opened last year and had in an air tight container... still seems to be good so will save a little on greenstuff (not that GS is that expensive if you buy in bulk). Used a polystyrene egg for the head part as it will be easy to take material away to get it to the right proportions. I already had the eggs as they are going to be part of a scenery project, sometime.

Just a little bit to do on the sword arm and it will be ready for an undercoat. Unfortunately the sword has flopped down a little from the angle I wanted it to be but oh well.
The white texture is not what you think it is... it is actually packing peanuts and PVA. It makes a great texture. I usually put PVA where I want the texture, press part of a packing peanut on, then add more PVA to the top and as the PVA soaks in poke it with a brush.

Super work on all your Burrows and Badgers minis. It's great to see more Burrows and Badgers representation on Dakka and I Love the selection you've got. Magic crow, crossbow soldier weasel, aluring Vixen. So much variety and character.
Some very nice freehand detail work on the clothing patterns too and not a plague-ridden magot in sight!
88452
Post by: RobertsMinis
Thank you, @theCrowe. I'm a big fan of Oathsworms minis and have backed all of their kickstarters except for the last one... shamefully these are the first ones I have painted, but I will go back and get the rest painted when I stop being obsessed with maggots...
These pictures won't make sense... basically it is a possessed siege engine with lots of plague guns that are fuelled by some weird tentacle thing that sits on the back. Its footprint is about A4 and I guess it will have at least another two levels - I didn't consider its weight or storage before I started. The last clay I used shrank a lot, especially compared to all the previous stuff but the cracks are just an opportunity to add more tentacles and gribbly bits.

After clearing the hobby stuff from dining room table for Christmas, I took a wee hobby break, started a new job and haven't been doing a lot of hobby - just building a few models. Going to get back on the painting horse now, but this is what I have been up to...
In this box I've the new Blood Bowl edition built, the Plague Marine Heroes, another bunch of naked Celts from Victrix, the Space Marine half of Indomitus, the Kill Team box with the Nurgle in it, plus a couple of months of Age of Sigmar partworks magazine and a few other things.
Next goal is getting the Necron bit of Indomitus built...
And this is the current state of my Plague Tower
Still a load of work to do on it. Hopefully updating my Blog will get me going again and get plenty of painting done.

Thanks, guys, I really do appreciate the kind words and you popping into the Blog.
My message for today (thanks to Footsore Miniatures)
What I have been up to.
Got all the Necrons from Indomitus built and primed black. Just brushed on the primer as my airbrush is in my shed, my shed is very cold, so brush is grand! Have decided to do them similar to what Darren Latham did with his... if I can!
Got the rest of my Chaos Warhounds built. Probably need to go in with a bit of plastic putty or greenstuff just to tidy the joins up and make them less noticeable.
Immortal/Warlord Greek Hoplites, that came with this months Wargames Illustrated Magazine. Will base these on some rounds and they can be used for Clash of Spears or SPQR if we ever get to game again
Finally, a bit more of the Nurgle Tower. This is the fuel tank, that sits behind the tower part. It has a ladder and I plan on having a plague bearer dropping stuff into it.
Plans are to get a bit of painting done this week. Necrons, Bloodletters and perhaps a few other things I have primed and handy.
88452
Post by: RobertsMinis
Didn't do much hobby this week. But have completed my first Chaos Android, or are they called Necrons now
Inspired by Darren Latham's take on Indomintus Necron content...
Needs a tuft or something on the base and a varnish to bring a consistent finish to the model, but otherwise I am fairly happy given the time and effort needed to get to this stage (which isn't very much).
Now to get working on this lot!
Did get a few more models built and I've a couple more Bloodletters painted, but will show them when I get all the ones I have been working on finished.
Thanks for looking!

Cheers, KernelTerror! Appreciate it.
Couple of Bloodletters... These are ebay rescues. I should have spent more time clean mould lines and tidying, but oh well. Bit of an experiment... tired to use Flesh Tearers Contrast paint over a black undercoat that I dry brushed up to grey... but it is a very strong and pigmenty contrast paint and the effect wasn't what I hope. So a dry brush with Ryza Rust and then a few details is all they got. They will suffice, especially given the amount of Bloodletters I still have to paint, and the fact I am still searching for bargains on eBay
Again, I'm not a fan of demons all looking the same, the warp is a weird and wonderful place, so I am also going for a disjointed, chaotic look.

Cheers, my friend. Basically I copied what Darren Latham's did with his Necrons. He has posts on Instagram, including a video, on how he did it. His video is very good, and his Necrons look great. https://www.instagram.com/darrenlatham/
But basically...
Base coat of Incubi Darkness
Then just random stippling of black and green.
Stipple on a watered down black (more in the shadowy bits).
Stipple on Kabalite Green
Stipple on Sybarite Green
Stipple on Gauss Blaster Green - this is a very light step for me.
Then edge highlight in Kabalite Green and Sybrite green.
My glowly bits are nearly the same but the first coat is Kabalite green and a little white mixed with Gauss Blaster green for the final highlight.
Hope that helps... Got the Spider Floaty thing basically finished and the other Cyptothrall. Just finishing touches and giving them a good varnish is all that is needed.

Daemon ghostrider looks great. I too find the pictures far too much of a put-off when everything is blow up to 10,000% the size!
And Flesh Tearer Red is an interesting contrast. I find it mostly useful over orange or thinned down significantly as it is so pigment heavy.

Cheers, Boss! Working from home and the weather being crap has given me plenty of time recently.... Plus I got minis primed at lunch and actually finished the basing of more Necrons I painted last night, this morning at about 7am (see pic below). Every little helps!
Finished the Squat. Love the mini. Have a Command Squad to paint now and have backed another Kickstarter for more Space Dwarfs that finishes at the end of the month. There are some great minis coming out of Macrocosm at the moment. The guy who sculpts them has a plog on this site as well if you haven't checked him out - https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/731849.page

Decided to add rust to the doors. Some are too rusty, but oh well. Not realistic either, but oh well!
Got all the Terrain from the Kill Team box "painted"... Goodness knows when I will be playing games, let alone playing games with my own terrain (which I have a lot of anyway). Can always go back and paint the screens or add more detail at a later date.
Working on more Nighthaunts...
Another Necron that just needs a varnish as well...

I really like your necron scheme.
Also the squats look great

Cheers, NotOnline.
So another Necron actually finished, and sort of photographed half decently. I believe this is a Plasmacyte.
More Chainraps finished.
And what I am still working on... Another Nighthaunt model, Squats, and a Hellmouth from Bear Head Miniatures.

Quick update.
What I plan on finishing this week... or at least try!
The squats I did last night, currently need based and matt varnished.
And nearly finished the Nighthaunt character, Liekoron the Executioner,
Just painting these Nighthaunts in the scheme given in the Mortal Realms magazine as it saves me thinking and I don't want to spend a lot of time on them either.
Liekoron finished

Didn't realise I had broken the arm of Liekoron the Executioner until I went to varnish him. I did drop him after showing him to a family member, thankfully I didn't hoover in the time between droppage and findage! Fixed now.
Safely on a shelf with the rest of my Mortal Realms models.
Got the Hellmouth from Bear Head Miniatures finished as well as some Bloodletters
The Bloodletters are ebay rescues... hence why one has picked up a chainsword to replace his broken sword. Should have cleaned them up better as the mould lines are annoying me now.

The alternate sculpts/special character Nighthaunts are really cool, it's a shame that they're so hard to get.

Post by: RobertsMinis
100% agree with you, Gwyn, they are very cool models, I do wish the Mortal Realms magazine was more widely available around the world!
A little more progression...
Concentrated on the Chaos Warhound and Khorne Berserker last night and have gotten a little bit done on the Squats and Necrons this morning pre-work.
I wasn't a big fan of the Warhound models, but they are growing on me. They do have a charm, I suppose.
The Berserker is a eBay rescue/bargain. Going to add some blood to the chainsword and perhaps a decal on the shoulder pad.
Finally, a few Squats just trying to keep the peace.

Also good job on the letters, not to mention the hellmouth

Those squats are awesome.
Also really like the Nighthaunt; how easy is the 'ghosty' effect? I keep meaning to start some I have stuck in a box, but I'm not sure how to approach them.

Cheers Denny. The ghostly effect is just a coat of Nihilakh Oxide over a white undercoat, followed by a light drybrush of Corax White. The blue is just Kantor Blue, Black wash, then a highlight with a lighter blue - Liekoron the Executioner has a few more highlights. To be honest, the Nihilakh Oxide is pretty amazing.
@NotOnline Cheers, appreciate it!

Necron Warriors
Chaos Warhound
Work in progress
Actually did a bit on the Stormcast Shooty Thing
Green stuffing some Chaos Warhounds
Fixing up my Crabman from Bear Head Miniatures
Been washing these guys to get them primed. Few gaps to sort on the Stormcasts.
My World Eater Berserker dude...
Getting his decal on!

Cheers, Maharg. Really enjoying painting these Squats. Can see myself building quite an army of them at the moment
But first, I've quite the backlog to get through...
Skorpekh Destroyer
More Necrons Warriors
World Eater finished
And plan for today, get the last 2 Squats finished and the last 3 Necron Warriors from the Indomitus box. I wonder if I can stay on script

Those squats are looking excellent. They have an old-school general sci-if “dwarf-mixed-with-guardsman” look that would fit well with the original 40k aesthetic before everything started becoming over the top detailed and grimdark universe-specific.
I have seen that guy’s blog on here and his sculpting is impressive. You are the first one I’ve seen get them and do them proper justice with paint. The black-red-Green scheme is very bold and will look great on the table. It helps the faces and the white beards to really pop. Awesome work.
And lots of other good stuff here too. I’ve playing around with painting some chaos war hounds using contrast paints just to try them out on relatively cheap minis with good textures for contrast. I like your green stuff mods and natural scheme. I’ve been playing with blacks, browns, greys, and purples mostly. They are one of the only GW daemon models I like.

High praise indeed, thanks! Sort of copying the scheme from the original Space Dwarf Plastics box art, except I stayed away from the yellow! Thought it was perhaps a bit much! Plus I think black and green camo tanks with red bits will look really effective.
The Warhounds are hard to decide what sort of scheme to do them in. I will vary it up. Some more natural and a few maybe a little wilder.
Not Online!!! wrote:The necrons really take nicely to the scheme.
Cheers, I will say Darren Latham is a genius, and I am just copying him.
Was quite good and stuck to my plan yesterday.
Space Dwarf Command Squad finished. I do love these figures.
Necron Warriors finished.
And I painted a Troll from Crooked Dice. Have another one to do.

A bit more work done.
Got a load of the bigger units form Indomitus painted.
Just varnishing and basing to do on these.
Did take a photo pre-varnish of the Nercon Heroes. Think the gold will add a lot to the overall look of the force.

Those gold accents will be great. Are you gonna be super stingy with the gold on "elite" non-character units like Lychguard and Praetorians or will they get the gold too?

Agreed - gold contrasts very nicely.

I don't know about the troll. But that may be the style of the model.
And the squats are as always adorable.

Thank you. To be honest, I haven't thought that far ahead. I've a couple more models from Indomitus to finish and then I probably won't get anything more until the new Warhammer subscription magazine with the Necrons in it come. Though I do really want to get a Doom Scythe to paint up and I'd like another Canoptek Spyder as well.... But I think the elite units will get a bit more gold.
Arakasi wrote:Agreed - gold contrasts very nicely.
Cheers! Appreciate you dropping in.

Cheers. I know what you mean about the troll. I guess purple and ginger is an odd colour combination as well.
Canoptek Reanimator finished. Really nice model. I think I want another one of these as well!
Today I also built and prepped a few models... Bank Holiday Weekend is going to be painting and a bit of gardening.
Also bought a Meng Toon Tiger. I think even built as stock would be a good tank for my Squats - only think I did was take a bit of sprue and drill some holes in it to give it a thicker machine gun.

In between cutting down and digging out a bush, and complaining about my back I got plenty done on my wee Squat tank!
The bottom half of the tank shows it before a wash and dry brush.
Apart from washing the tracks and maybe the metal bits, I am so tempted to call this done. Think it is too busy to add loads of decals or weathering already but do think it will look cool as part of a Squat force.

Squats and a Tank
Stormcast Shooty Thing
Reikenor the Grimhailer - he is painted to the stage outlined in the Mortal Realms magazine... I think there will be another part suggesting further steps and I am just going to follow those - it saves thinking and painting by numbers is actually quite relaxing. Then I might add a few more details or highlights if I think it needs it.
So I am going to paint the crew of the shooty thing today and see what time I have left to perhaps do some more Stormcasts or Nighthaunts... or perhaps some Bloodletters...

Cheers Gwyn, it is just khorne red, black wash, more khorne red and then mephiston red.
A few Stormcasts... they are pretty rough but will be fine on the tabletop if I ever get round to playing some AoS.
Necron Plasmancer

Another quick update.
Got Crawlocke the Jailor painted up. Didn't bother with the bits for the base, I will save them for a rainy day. Had a few problems with Crawlocke in that I broke him close to the bottom when cleaning him up. I then fixed him, then broke him again... this happened a few times... so I got to a certain stage of tidying up the repair job and decided I wasn't going to waste anymore time on it... the repair job is now so rough, I am slightly embarrassed...
Got a little order from CP miniatures - some demon things (not pictured) and a squad of Halfling Snipers, sculpted by INSO, the same amazing gentleman who sculpted the Squats I have been painting recently. The order also came with a free Space Dwarf... so will paint him up and see how well he fits in. Looks a fun sculpt. Also plan to get the necrons from Indomitus finished... and I really want to start getting all the rest of the Mortal Realms stuff painted up... So getting a few Stormcasts ready for painting.

More finished models
Skorpekh Destroyer Lord
That is the Necrons finished from Indomitus. Probably will be a while before I add anything else to this force. Enjoyed painting these, will have to get a group shot done at some time. Now to decide what chapter to do my Space Marines. They may end up being Ultramarines, as I quite like painting blue. I am tempted to do them as Howling Griffons but I want to get things finished
Space Dwarf from CP Models.
I like the model, just need to see what size he is compared to my other squats, otherwise he can be a Mercenary fighter in something.
Halfling Sniper from CP Models, sculpted by INSO.
Another great sculpt. Have another 4 to do for the squad. Shouldn't taken too long to do them in this scheme.
Got my Mortal Realms delivery as well, so have the models mostly built. Going to paint the riders and horses of the Hexwraiths separately, so only have the horses built so far.
Starting to go through the rest of the Mortal Realms stuff to get it all built (and even find it all). Think these came with the first issue with some coloured Chainrasps as well.
While looking for the Mortal Realms stuff I found this vehicle. Going to paint it as a command vehicle for my Squat Commisar.

Plenty to paint...
