Coming this Spring!
Dead Man's Hand: Plastic Gunfighters
This year sees the release of our first box of multi-part, plastic 28mm figures.
This boxed set offers enough parts to build 10 gunfighters for Dead Man's Hand. Whether you are Lawmen or Outlaws, Desperados or Cowboys, the frames include a wide range of heads, arms, weapon options and equipment.
These look great. Hope there's some female equivalents in the works.
The guns look to be modelled on specific ones rather than being generic. Anyone able to identify them?

The boxes have arrived and we've boxed a chunk of the new Dead Man's Hand Plastic Gunfighters. Release is on June 16th. Pre orders ship on the 15th (UK), 11th (EU) and 10th (Rest of the World).
Sprue's a useful compliment to non-sprue miniatures in that you can select which weapons, poses, and even sides your miniatures will be, to flesh out your posse or build one. Frex, you need two masked bandits, one with a rifle, the other with dynamite. Well, this sprue has them. I think you can also have unarmed cowboys and maybe cowboys with their hands in the air. The set also comes with little tiny badges, so you know which side your miniatures on -- and you can use the badges on your other western miniatures as well. You could even glue a badge to a base to mark which side the miniature is on. GEG has single-pose metal miniatures, so one thought is to see which of their non-sprue miniatures suit your posse, and fill out the ranks with the sprue models.
https://stronghold-terrain.de seems to be the only online shop on the continent taking preorders, they also carry the rest of the Dead Man's Hand range including joke sculpts like Doc Brown and Lucky Luke.
WGA Raumjager, Great Escape Games Gunfighter, Frostgrave Cultist, Stargrave Trooper, Maelstroms Edge Broken, Great Escape Games Gunfighter, GW Genestealer Cultist
so size wise they fit right in, perhaps a touch less bulky than Stargrave & WGA
trying the stargrave arms on them they work but you'll need to trim round the edges to get a good fit (may work better with GWGSC arms, from the look of it but I don't have any of those spare to try)
Got a preview sprue, and painted up the heads. You get 11 heads, five top body halves, and five bottom body halves, per sprue, and two sprues per box (?). So that means you can have eleven unique heads, and ten bodies to put 'em on...
Still working on it (that's putty that's holding them together
I assembled some cowboys based on what poses would round out my collection. Other metal figures are Pinnacle Entertainment Game's "7th Gun" figures, GEG's "Cowboys" figures, and Reaper's Chronoscope figures.
Hope you guys get some ideas so you can paint them up faster and better!
The desperado's rope can be swapped with dynamite (sticky tack), and I used a few bits for an objective marker.
Also, finally a gunfighter who's unarmed!

gun
/ɡʌn/
noun
1.
a weapon incorporating a metal tube from which bullets, shells, or other missiles are propelled by explosive force, typically making a characteristic loud, sharp noise.
*sigh* so tempting. I've always wanted to dive head first int Legends of the Old West, but now that the books are OOP, I've long since given up the ghost on that. That and needing to make terrain that is pretty specific to this genre/historical geographical locale.

What I've found is that, while multipart kits obviously take more assembly time than monopose figures, they're better for "what you see is what you play" miniature gaming, as well as filling out your existing collection (eg. unarmed cowboys).
Some mini's I made, which I suspect are hard or uncommon to find: unarmed cowboy, cowboy with rope (the rope can be swapped with dynamite or other bits), western objective marker. IIRC, I made the heads swappable, so you can have a good guy or bad guy in a particular pose or loadout.
I'm really happy that there's going to be a female version. I've been using mine to build out my postapocalyptic gangs and right now, the gender balance is a bit off.
I am super excited to make a Quick and the Dead themed set..... who doesn't want a Sharon Stone gunfighter in their gang?
I might finally get into Fistful of Lead, Dead Man's Hand, Legend of the Old West, Gunfighter's Ball, Dracula's America, Shoot and Skedaddle, etc. There are a lot of great "Western" themed games on the market right now!

Wait. What? Show me a pic!
The male and female sprue have more heads than bodies, so I guess you can use the heads for swaps on other plastic models?

I'm glad it wasn't just me who saw those pictures and thought you used the extra heads to model a terrain piece of some guys taking a bath together in a barrel.

How'd ya think it got hot???
I digress, chickens are a cool thing and wouldn't mind a small(sprue size) kit with a flock of chickens and a rooster. Oh and the obligatory fox & henhous.

Warlord makes a sprue of farm animals. It's also in the pipeline for Wargames Atlantic.
