They seem to come earlier every year.
"The War on Christmas will not end until the Klaus Regime withdraws its illegal occupation of November in accordance with the Black Friday Accords"!!
With that said...
Squadron (military models) has their "Countdown to Black Friday" sale started. If there's a kit you've been thinking of it's time to check them out.

I will not be surprised if next year, shortly after the Fourth of July here in the USA, Xmas decor and signs go up in the malls. "Only 18[n] shopping days left until Christmas!!!

'Now's the time to spend with folly!
Fa la la la la, la la la la la!"

I just got back from the grocery store with some X-mas candy... on November 3rd.
Which I mention to illustrate that we seem to have entered an era where the calendar is just totally divorced from sales. Anywhere between October 1st and December there'll be sales, pre-Black Friday, post-Black Fridays, etc.

Heroforge has a 10th Anniversary sale going on until 30 Nov 2024. Up to 20% off on physical miniatures and up to 50% off digital miniatures. Quality is poor though, but if you want a specific type of figure that has little or no commercial appeal, then this gives you the option to create it.
Okay, that's actually worse, since food spoils. Something like a sweater can be bought and hoarded until Christmas without harm. {I've often done my Xmas shopping at Labor Day sales and just hidden the gifts away for later. Then I get obnoxiously smug during the seasonal shopping rush.}
518
Post by: Kid_Kyoto
I like Heroforge, I mean yeah, guaranteed there is an STL out there ten times better than the one I made with HF's toolbox, but the point is, 'I' made it. Me. I decided what tilt his head should have, which sword he's swinging and which set of eyebrows he has.
Me.
(2019 generation)
Point being, cool!
47355
Post by: Ancestral Hamster
re: Heroforge. Actually, I like them and have bought a number of figures from them. I just don't want to mislead anyone as to quality. I'll be buying at least two XL figures this time around; the question is if I add a third normal sized figure.
Did you ever get that Come at Me Bro mini you designed?

Very tempted by a Saturn 4. The Plus seems the perfect size, annoyingly it's 42% off on the EU site but only 23% off on the UK site. Wayland have discounts of around 40% on the Saturn 4, but they only seem to have the Pro and the Max, not the Plus, though the Max on Wayland is roughly the same price as the Plus on the Elegoo site, so a pretty good deal, just would have preferred to pay slightly less for the Plus as that should be enough for my needs (12" square scenic tiles) and would take up slightly less space.
5269
Post by: lord_blackfang
Yea the Plus is absolutely perfect sized for wargamers. Mine is already here, but still boxed as I have to make room for it, which includes giving away my old 20x20 cm printer.
Regarding the resin machines, I took a look to advise my friends, and I think if I needed one I'd be going with the Saturn 3 Ultra. I don't think the 4 adds anything super meaningful (maybe slightly easier leveling, but I can level printers in my sleep) and actually loses the built in carbon air filter.
77922
Post by: Overread
Saturn sized buildplates (9-10inches) are ideal for model printing. You can print lots of infantry or bases at once; and have room to put larger models like tanks/dragons/etc... into only one or a few plates.
Smaller 6inch buildplates are nice to start with, but for larger models can take a very long time.
The Saturn 4Ultra has the tiltbase design which basically changes how fep peeling happens. It basically has an exceptionally low lift height which helps with print speed and the tilt aspect helps reduce fep pull forces all at once. It's a feature I suspect we'll see steadily drift into more and more printers.

As well as a Arab belly dancer dual wielding swords. She'll be a Treasure Hunter in Frostgrave while Officer Chase is for Stargrave.

OK gang, really need some decent orders by Monday, got workshop rent (£900) AND a massive metal bill (£1066) due on the same day, which is a problem!
The Black Friday Sale offer is 30% with no minimum order, but if you need further coaxing, spend £100 on miniatures and you can get an extra £10 off any order of £100 or more by using the code EXTRABLACK ! Get together with friends for a joint order!
This code works on the main shop and also on Etsy for my Eu/Norway/Guest Checkout gang.
https://heresyminiatures.com/discounts for info
or
https://heresyminiatures.etsy.com
(Enter the code into the Shop Code box on checkout)
On the main shop, if you have an outstanding order, choose 'Add To Previous Order' as the checkout shipping to get free shipping and let me know the previous order number (preferably by separate email as well) and I'll add them together into one box.
* EU GSPR*
Speaking of the EU, you will have likely heard of the frantic screaming going on amongst the indie miniatures makers of the world right now, as the EU is bringing in General Product Safety Regulations so that anyone from any non- EU country sending any kind of product into the EU from any source, Ebay or otherwise, has to provide confirmations of safety etc and has to have an agent based in the EU to provide this information, which costs money, or risk a €20,000 euro fine ( UK introducing something similar). This legislation has apparently been coming for ages but this week is the first time we've heard of it.
Whilst we all try to come up with a solution to this latest small business-killing hurdle (I'm waiting for a reply from some guys based in Estonia) the most likely short term result is that sales to the EU will have to be suspended in December (the new rules hit 13th December, right in time for Christmas, what were they thinking?!) because none of us can risk the whopping fine if we're caught out.
Therefore I suggest that any of you in the EU place your order as soon as possible so I can get them out by the start of December and avoid the deadline!
*SKELETON 01 back from the dead*
The very first Skeleton 3-Up, the prototype that has been off sale for years and which has evolved into the latest versions following years of practice etc, is once more getting a production run as the moulds have some casting life left in them. If you've been collecting the series and missed out, you can now pick one up, I've set a limit at 2 but I'd be surprised if it's that many to be honest, the moulds could go at any point. I've also made it so that you can get the skeleton bits without the base if you like, or with my more modern skulls as opposed to the original versions in the picture!
you can find the skeleton on Etsy here:
https://heresyminiatures.etsy.com/.../collectors-edition...
Or on the main shop here:
https://heresyminiatures.com/shop/index.php...
*Buy Me A Coffee*
If you want to help me out without buying miniatures, as always you can either buy yourself some gift vouchers (virtual credit which you can send to friends via email) or you can donate via ko-fi.com/heresyandy

It's called the Dead Earth, although it is a bit tamer than it once was. There are still topless amazons with sword and radium pistol, but the fully nude expies of the major characters are gone. I do own the topless amazons; should use them in Stargrave.

It's not a bargain unless you order more than £100, then it's 10% off, 20% on orders of £250 & 25% off orders over £400.
Also their fulfillment of my orders has been only 50%. They lost the first check and so I had to cancel it. They then misplaced my second order and refunded me. The next two did arrive, but after significant delays. So Caveat Emptor.
