It is incorrect. They moved it to Sunday to accomidate the guys who are in the SoCalGW league because we have a BBQ on Saturday the 15th.

1750 is such an awkward number. Not really used to that.

1750 is a pretty standard point value for tourneys. As a matter of fact it is the standard point value for GT's.

Armies do NOT have to be painted to play in RTT's at GMI. However, painting scores do matter in terms of winning the overall.

Meh, if I go it is to have fun not to win anything, and I can't realistically expect to paint my army with my schedule. Alas, all for the love of the game.

I don't go to RTTs to win them.

But if I can keep Darrian from winning one, that is reward enough.

Ah yes but when the man can walk away with Best General in an RTT while playing Grey Knights (cf. last weekend) it can be quite a challenge.

That damn Blackmoor has cost me more RTT "overall" wins than I care to count. For nearly two years, a matchup with Blackmoor for me was an auto-loss. Only recently did I start to get a few lucky wins in against him. His moving away to Florida has done wonders for my RTT record.

Thanks for the compliment Alpharius, but I was lucky to win best general with Grey Knights. What is far more impressive is Blackmoor once won a league with his Grey Knights.

Yes, the Tau had to go and do such nasty things to my poor Guardsmen in that last round. I believe my opponent in that game might post here-if so I want to see those pictures you were taking.

As a general rule he only posts a batrep if he wins an RTT, but I may be wrong.

If you were asking about the RTT that Alpharius was referring to, Sergio(Fenrik on Dakka) won with his Plague Marine list.

If you were asking about the RTT at GMI yesterday, a local player from Riverside won. I do not know his name, he was playing Imperial Guard(?). Adam(Mortetvie) went 3-0 and did not win because his army was unpainted. I went 2-1 (getting crushed by Mortetvie) and Alpharius went 1-1-1.

I am not so sure of that. The next time I lose to a BA army using the new codex will be the first time. Since your librarian does not get FotD, my Dark Eldar will have very little to fear from your red marines.

Yeah but those drop-podding Death Company with Bolters would totally get one sniper squad (100 points . . . gone!) before the Ravagers did terrible nasty things to them. It would amusing to watch the tooled jetbike Archon work over Mephiston though-no Invulnerable Sv. = dead Lord of Death.

Okay it was quite cocky for me to say I would roll players of your caliber... but it would be fun to go up against Darrian's dark eldar. I was just discussing earlier this evening with a friend the tactics we would use against each other - he being another dark eldar player. I think that the new BA could give them a game though and yes I agree the Archon would be a tough nut for Mephiston to crack.

I fear no marines with DE. Dark Eldar is a codex designed for anti-marine and then given crack.

I have beaten DE many times with Space Marines. I have lost against them as well but my overall record is healthy in the win column. For Space Marines to win you must deny DE what they do best, which is the Napoleonic tactic referred to as Divide and Conquer. DE also have their share of inherent weaknesses which can be exploited by Space Marines. The last time I played against DE was in a small tournament setting and my Tech Marine single handedly turned the tide of the battle late in the game, allowing the BA to take the win.

I have never seen Darrian's Dark Eldar in action, but I would have like to have played them.

Like everyone I have not played them (DE) much, but whenever I have, it has been a very close game.
