Some surprises here. PIP 31057 WM CG Black 13th Gun Mage Strike Tea Warmachine GTM104 11/30/08 $16.99 PIP 31058 WM CG Trencher Cannon Crew Warmachine GTM104 11/30/08 $32.99 PIP 33062 WM KD Koldun Lord Solo Warmachine GTM104 11/30/08 $12.99 PIP 32056 WM PT Visgoth Rhoven & Exemplar Body Warmachine GTM104 11/30/08 $0.00 PIP 75016 H MN Warlock Dahlia Hallyr & Skarath Hordes GTM104 11/30/08 $32.99 PIP 75017 H MN Warlock Rorsh & Brine Heavy War Hordes GTM104 11/30/08 $44.99 One member of the Gun Mage Strike "Tea" was spotted at Comicon. Link here. The TCC will hopefully give Cygnar players a weapon crew they'll actually field. The art for the Koldun Lord was in the most recent No Quarter. Another Exemplar unit for Protectorate is always good, especially free ones! I'll put the real price in when it's known. Minion warlocks! Awesome! I'm pretty psyched about these guys even though I won't likely get them. The question is whether Minions will get contracts so they can be fielded by themselves, or if they can only be used in 1000 point games. Dahlia has the same last name as Vayl, so they're from the same Shard. I have no idea who Rorsh is, but "Brine" indicates aquatic warbeasts. So Rorsh is probably a Bog Trog or Gatorman. Finally, sucks to be a Cryx player in November. If I find out that they're getting something (or if anything else is announced), I'll post it. Edit: BTW, this info comes from an Alliance email to their customers.

TGN is reporting wrong then. I submitted the tip to them...if they have it labelled as anything but fact, they screwed up.
Minion warlocks are happening. Period.
They both come with their own warbeast. One is a Nyss from Vayl's former Shard, the other is unknown.

Doug Seacat:
Given you'll get a chance to read about these guys in NQM#21 I advise waiting for that magazine before getting too invested in specific preconceptions. I think it is safe for me to say that these minion warlocks do not function the same way as mercenary warcasters. Any speculation based on mercenary warcasters and mercenary armies is likely to be mistaken.
So maybe the confusion is because
a. Yes there are minion warlocks.
b. No they don't work exactly the same as regular warlocks.

All attempts at mysteriousness aside, of course they don't work like Merc warcasters. They're warlocks. This automatically means they can't just be plugged into existing armies simply due to the way Fury works.

Well, that's what I thought.
Brine - noun
1. water saturated or strongly impregnated with salt.
2. a salt and water solution for pickling.
3. the sea or ocean.
4. the water of the sea.
5. Chemistry. any saline solution.
But apparently Rorsh is a Farrow and Brine is his pet boar.
Oh, and Dahlia is Iosan. Apparently the family name goes back to before the elf tribes split. Skarath is a pale tatzylwurm, so, according to the Monsternomicon, it'll have some sort of acid ranged attack.

Here's some fluff blurbs. I'll post the others as I find them.
The Ghost Raiders walk the ashen decks of the Atramentous as sinister blazing specters among the masses of the rotting dead and over the centuries have reaped a terrible harvest of souls to increase their phantom ranks. When obliterated in battle, the ghosts’ curse draws their invisible essences shrieking back to the Atramentous to reignite in its endless flames. By the Dragonfather’s unending fire did their mortality end, and to that fire they will forever return. A player may add up to two Blackbane’s Ghost Raider blisters (PIP 34065) to a box of Blackbane’s Ghost Raiders(PIP 34064)for a total of ten models and field one unit of Blackbane’s Ghost Raiders in his Cryx army.
The Black 13th is a well-honed weapon of war sharpened to a razor’s edge by relentless service to the crown. It serves as the elite strike force of the Militant Order of the Arcane Tempest. The exact number of men and women serving in this tight knit organization has waxed and waned since the team’s founding but has always consisted of a select few who demonstrate deadly skill with the magelock pistol. The Black 13th Gun Mage Strike Team comes in a blister (PIP 31057). A player may field one Black 13th Gun Mage Strike Team in his Cygnar army.
Minion Lesser Farrow Warlock and Warbeast
Rorsh cares nothing for goals or sides in the battles wracking western Immoren and offers his services for reasonable payment and no questions asked. He carries his lever-action pig iron and a fondness for explosives from one battlefield to the next. His greatest weapon is the gargantuan bipedal fighting boar Brine, whom Rorsh takes particular delight in unleashing to rend enemies limb from limb.
For some reason Rorsh didn't have his possible employers listed. Dahlia's blurb is out there, too, but it contains "possible MAJOR Legends spoilers," so check that thread if you really want to know about her.

The Koldrun Lord is the most kick-ass hasidic rabbi evar. I dig it. The ghost pirates remind me of the ghost pirates from that Garfield halloween special back in the early 80s. Well no...it loads different ammo, is in better repair, might be a newer model, & is used differently in all liklihood.
It will certainly will not work the same as far as what it does in the game.

ninjatango wrote: Just post it...if people don't want to read "spoilers" then the are not reading a thread dedicated to them. This isn't a spoiler thread. This is a preview thread. New releases are announced every month with no effort to hide them. It just happens that one of the previews contains a spoiler from Legends. And I'm not talking about just some new model that will be in the book. Hell, Dahlia will be in Metamorphosis, not Legends. I'm talking about a very major setting change that was to be revealed in Legends. Some don't want to read spoilers, so it got its own thread. And yes, the topic itself is big enough to warrant it. Since you asked so nicely, however, I'll post Dahlia's blurb editted for spoilage. But first...Exemplar! Visgoth Rhoven’s leadership and prayers both support and inspire the faithful around him as he presses the attack against the enemies of Menoth. His tireless honor guard accompany him everywhere. These veteran exemplars bear consecrated halberds and rarely take to the battlefield, but the stakes in the current crusade have simply risen too high. Visgoth Rhoven & Exemplar Bodyguards come in a blister (PIP 32056). A player may field one Visgoth Rhoven & Exemplar Bodyguards in his Protectorate army. Her own kinsmen do not understand how the entrancing music of this Iosan sorceress tames lesser minds. She has forged a bond with a pale tatzlwurm she calls Skarath and offers their combined services in battle to those she deems useful. With a few haunting notes she directs this living weapon to swallow lesser enemies whole or to paralyze the mighty with its poisonous bite. This box contains all the parts necessary to field Dahlia Hallyr and Skarath. Dahlia Hallyr and Skarath will work for Circle Orboros and Trollbloods. A player may include one Dahlia Hallyr and Skarath (PIP 75016) in his army

It looks like the same model. Probably has similar rules. Yes, it's a newer version of the Thumper, but it's a cygnar artillery piece. Which means it won't be that effective because 2 out of 11 casters have snipe and like 4 or 5 have dead-eye. I wouldn't be surprised if it has the same 'roll the cannonball' effect.
None of the artillery, other than the winterguard mortar, are very effective.

Not really. I could have rules that don't even bear a vague similarity & that would make absolute sense in every way. They could do anything they want. It could have the same rules as the wg mortar & that would make sense.
What casters have snipe or dead-eye are irrelevant. We don't know what it does, or how those spells would effect it. Or that they need to...and they probably don't. Artillery in this game normally operates without support.
And my Skorne catapault is WICKEDLY effective, as is the Nyss Scather. Not sort of effective. Wickedly effective.
Making any sort of judgement on this unit before you see the rules, well, you might as well just roll a die. One a 1-3 we hate it. On a 4-5 we "meh" it & on a 6 we'll decide it's the best thing ever made & needs nerfed. No more baseless.
Chin up, it could do ANYthing.

As soon as we started telling people what was going to be in an unreleased book, we posted spoilers. If people read this thread, they did it on purpose & have ZERO complaint if they decide, suddenly & arbitrarily, that THAT was something they didn't want to know. Just silly. You either want to ruin the suprise & know what's coming, right now, or you don't & aren't reading this.
Either way Dahlia doesn't have anything to do with Legends in her description. You cut some parts out but spoiled others. Short version: yeah she mentions Retribution of Scyrah, which just a confirmation of old news.
That would be the militiant mage-hating splinter of Ios that Eryiss embodies. Are you saying that Retribution being a faction is some big suprise? It's not, it's been set up since day one & this doesn't confirm it any more than ever. We also have "Morrowan" & "Rhulics" & "Talion Charter".

Remember, Cygnar gave a bunch of old tech to the Trollbloods before they pissed off Madrak. This cannon is obviously what replaced the Thumpers like how chain guns replaced that gun on the Dire Troll Blitzers. So fluff-wise, it's the better gun. Rules-wise, we'll find out next week.
Also, I'd be very suprised if it has that 'roll the cannonball' effect because it doesn't shoot cannonballs.

Exactly. The TB cannon is to this, as their blunderbusses are to Long Rifles. King Leo just gave them the old, outdated crap they didn't need any more, instead of land & protection they were owed.
