This is my first conversion for my ork army that i have done, i love burnas and bough 2 boxs but i have kustom mega blasters, and the box doesnt give you 5 flamers, so i converted the mek to have a big shoota.

Please tell me what you think and he is holding a torch, lol, i love flames and love burnas boyz, please feel free to leave me any type of feed back, painting ideas and tactic and what i can do next time around, still have to build another 3.

@cheesey, this is my first time with green stuff, i have never used it before and have no other type of experience with the like.

I have another one im going to load up in an hour after making the mek and get a shot of the limited boys i have

Here are pics of my second mek boy for me burnas, not as good looking in my opinion but i still like him.

I have to try and get pics of all me boys (all 23 of em and the big kan)

Can anyone suggest how to convert the KKF big mek to look abit more evil and power full, like how would i go about putting a power klaw on him or something coz i am building him now and seems not very energetic

Yeah a klaw on the Big Mek could be awesome, klaws are always nice. And a nice pose.

I like what you have done, but i might have to agree a bit with the hoff, i mean cheese element, the pudy you've used for the flame looks a little bit weird, i might sujest making an egg shape and then molding it from there to make a flame.

Just to be different, I really like the green stuff work, I think if you take your time painting and highlighting it to get a real good flame effect it will look excellent

I'm not so keen on your huge big shootas, just because I'd give a Mek something more interesting, but it's still good work.

I literally just got home from my FLGS games nigth and opened my new box of lootas and burnas. It's really weird...

You get:

5 legs and torsos

4 Deffguns

4 Burnas

1 Kustom Mega Blasta

1 Big Shoota

1 Rokkit Launcha



It's like, Games Workshop are actually selling a squad set that includes all the options listed in the Codex... three box sets and you have the max squad size of lootas or burnas, with all the different weapon combination options available. :S

ahh nice. So if I buy one of those and two boxes of Boyz I get ... 1 KMB, 3 BS and 3 Rokkits. To go with the BS and Boyz from the starter set. To go with Burnas for Big Meks and the Deffguns.

After that I can probably convert Deffguns and Snazguns I think. Or maybe pick up a second Loota/Burna Box.

I've still got boxes of the old 16 boyz in a box sprues untouched in the cupboard, so I'll be using some of those Boyz to take the extra heavy weapons I keep collecting.

Here is my big mek, i know my green stuff work is terrible (thankyou Nuclear Mekanik for liking it), i had a few too many ideas maybe, i would love all forms of comments to help me build my Waagh and soon a war boss, i hope you get some ideas out of im and like some part of him, i think with a coat of paint he will be alright.

(the power klaw thing lol is half flesh and half metal and stuff)

Haha nice mek squigie!! Really like the klaw, looks totally custom (which it is!) just what a mek should have.
And for the the GS, don't say its terrible, ist better than my first attempts, both the flame and the arm on the klaw.

Sorry for the vague O/T thread hi-jack... just a note to Tacobake and Orky peeps at large... although you get a big shoots and rokkit launcha in the lootas box, you don't get arms for either of them, and there's no rokkit backpack, so a tiny bit of converting needs doing.

I am loving these Konversions! Keep up the good work! Regarding the Greenstuff Fire on a prior model, it does look funny, but I have no idea how to make it look better. I have the idea that it will improve with proper painting.

Also, the models seem to be getting better as I scroll down the page. Keep up the good work!

I like where you are going with them. I think the general concept is solid, and pretty well executed.

Green Stuff can be a real bear to use. I think there are a few good "how to" threads on here. I would offer advice, but I am pretty weak with it myself. Other than "drench everything within 4 feet in water, preferably KY" and "you will always use less GS than you think you will" I haven't much to offer.

One thing I notice though is a lot of mould lines. Scraping those off with a knife at 90 degrees or with a file will really make a difference, particularly if you intend to use inks and washes, as those highlight mould lines terrifically.
