this is something ive been working on about 6 weeks now, still got a ways to go but you can see how its going to look more or less.

its bigger than the GW plastic giant but not by a great deal so its still usable on the table which is what im after.

its made from a 3:1 mix of super sculpey and sculpey firm, its differant shades because of the amount of times certain parts have been baked, it makes the "green" look messy but i cant use GS or epoxy putties to save my life.

anyway this will be produced in Resin hopefully jan/feb time and i estimate about £40 RRP but it depends on the final cost of the castings.

as always any thoughts, comments, or critism is greatly appreciated as is any ideas you have for stuff you want to see on him.

Terribly gruesome, my only suggestion; spilling bowels, intestines dropping out of the abdomen and trailing down. Always liked that effect to add a bit more gruesome death to the model.

Just because anyone agrees with anyone, doesn't mean they are correct. Beware the thin line between what is "Correct" and what is "Popular."

I can see where the idea is coming from, but isnt anybody ever getting tired of the whole bloated-popped-and-guts-spilling-about-look?

i like it on some things but it does seem everything nurgley has some guts poping out. i wanted this guy to be more tumourous and deformed than splitting open and pouring guts everywhere.

That looks awesome, so what are you going to do for a weapon, maybe hauling a long whip-like thing, or a take on a nugle axe.

I'd say a mutated club/mace for a hand would be sweet.

and your detail is completely amazing. How tall is this model?

It definitely needs a definitive weapon.

Maybe a long club, and at the end a cage dropping down on a chain. And maybe a cultist, or a marine is inside holding on for his dear life.

Or some sort of whip, maybe out of flesh, organs or corpses (Eww)

You could also go for some Nurgle axe, maybe have a tentacle growing from his wrist area wrapping around the massive weapon aswell for some disgusting touch.

I'm not into warhammer but that is the second most discusting thing I have ever seen in my intire life.
The most disgusting thing I have seen was a frie (chips, french fries) that looked like a snail.
(It was rotting)

I'm giving the best compliment that I can at the moment:

I regret that I ate lunch before reading this thread... /gurgle

Awesome work! I would like to see a bit more definition in the facial features... everything looks kinda jumbled and it's hard to tell what's what. That would change with paint of course, but it's my only criticism. Keep it up!

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

what kind of super sculpey is it? just regular super sculpey, kind of pink in colour? the only thing i can think of thats making it crumbly is your not kneading it properly before you use it. knead it til its warm and smooth and you have no problems at all. if its still crumbly after that then you've proberly got a faulty batch and might consider contacting the store you got it from.

cooking times in a gas oven should be gas mark 2-3 for 5-10 mins depending on thickness. its best to keep checking though throughout the baking process because it can burn and crack if cooked too long. dont let the models "springyness" fool you into it being still soft clay either, once its cooled it goes rock hard.

everyone whos interested in one of the giant minis i'll be posting details when its close to release date so stay tuned, or better yet PM me and i'll contact you come the time.

many thanks, bork

Although the models looks hideous, digusting, and very nurgly.
It seems a lot of people are doing nurgle thing so I have to agree with flach

But great job, and I vote for either Meat Cleaver, or Intestent whip

I tried being normal but it's boring so now I'm back to being insane

its a great sculpt, only thing i would be wary of is if your going to sell it remove the three circle nurgle symbol as it could potentially get you into a lot of trouble the head is awsome by the way!
