I really like it! I think I might try to do something like this with my scouts. Are the white dots painted on? Also, did you do any washes?

Cheers guys!

The 'white' dots are actually 'Astronomican Grey'. And yes, I used a bit 'Badab Black' to give some creases and recesses a bit more definition.

Those guardsmen are top notch! Are all of the parts from cadian models..heads, etc? What did you use to give the G36 look to the lasguns?

Those sir, are the most gorgeous Cadians I've ever seen.
Kudos to you!
(And I might see about nicking the color scheme. What was your basecoat for the grey? I've been trying to duplicate that style of grey for awhile...but it always comes out far too bright, even when shaded with Badab Black.)

Very nice. 'Realistic' looking without being 'realistic', if you catch my drift.

Those are WONDERFUL! As far as "testers" go I would say give them the green light. Seeing a City fight army like that would be awesome.

I just look'd through 'em again, since they're amazing. And noticed...

Paint yer eyes man!

And Tell us how you got the G36 Lasgun thing going on. Im thinking you cut out the tube that connects the two original sights, and took a piece of thin plasticard and GS'd the sight?

Oh, here and there.

The only thing that bugs me are the helmets being camo like the clothes. Looks cool, but the armor seems lost in the sea of patterns. Other than that, I'm jealous!

The bit stuck on the side of England. Wales isn't it.

Great scheme. It seemsto work very well. Myself , I like to make the helmet and armour look different to the cloth.

Your painting style is so similar to someone i used to know haha.

In fact it is possible that you are in fact the same person. What part of England are you from?

Only a little bit of plasticard as 'bar' and the head of an household pin as sight.

What was your basecoat for the grey?

I used 'Adeptus Battlegrey' highlighted with 'Codex Grey' as base for the uniform, the camo is 'Black Grey' (Vallejo), 'Chaos Black' dots with 'Astronomican Grey' as, well, highlight.

Paint yer eyes man!

I never do, they'd look like as if they were on drugs. And I'm too lazy.

Those look awesome. If you do end up using them on a table that they fit in with really well, be careful to count them after the baatle. I had some Ork Commandoes once that blended into the background so well that I ended up missing a couple and so not putting them back into the case. I went back to the shop the next day to get them and one of them was actually still in a ruined building that someone else was using for a battle, and even they didn't see it!

Nice and simple camo, and what seems like a good table top standard.
I agree with previous poster and think you should atleast try to paint the eyes, it would really add to your minis.

I really like the added grenades, cqb takes a LOT of ammo and grenades,

Overall nice minis!

Why make it different? Real helmets and body armor 9.9 times out of 10 look just like the uniform being worn under it. In real life having different patterns close together like that would make it more noticeable.

Some people like it to be as close to realistic as possible, others prefer a more stylised approach, where the camo effect is more stylised to look cool on the tabletop rather than being hyper realistic. It's all a matter of preference.
