Out of curiosity, I figured I'd put up a poll to see which army(s) a majority of people play. So, without further adieu, let the polling begin!

I, myself, play Cryx and Pirates(Mercs).

I've got a feeling that Menoth and Circle are going to take the top for WM/H respectively. Anyone else echo my opinion?

(Note: While Retribution and Minions don't have armies yet, I decided to include them in the poll for when they DO come out.)

Yeah, I spelled Cygnar wrong... There's probably other mistakes too... Oh well, you know what I mean.

I'm just getting into the game, but whenever I meet someone they always say they play Cryx.

Edit: I play Khador. I only play them because I went through the PP miniatures gallery and they looked the least like a stereotype. Cryx: Emo, Menoth: Churchy, Pirates: Spaz kid. Khador and Cygnar are the only two armies that seem to be pretty level headed. Khador is more close combat while Cygnar is more ranged. I like the assassins and the snipers from Khador though, they just look sweet.

Maybe it'd be fun to include why you play that army as well...

Here goes:

CRYX: Assassinations and Undead together in one convienient package made them my first army of choice. (That and they were under-represented at my LGS.) I also happen to like most of their models... And the Nightmare simply continued that trend.

PIRATES: I figured it was time to expand... No one really played mercs, but I wanted something truely unique in my area. Thus, a 750 pt Broadside Bart army was born. I'll probably never buy another fig for this army, but I'm happy with the way things turned out. Also, since I don't yet own any pirates for Cryx, these guys make great stand-ins.

lol Mal. Do you actually play all eight of those armies, or do you just collect some of the models?

Looking through just Hordes, I would have to say Trollbloods. They have great light warbeast, and one of the best infantry in the game. Chapions and a Mauler are just brutal, and ARM 18 just adds to it.

I cant speak for Warmachine. I do know I've meet more Cryx players in the last week then the other factions combined.

The one faction I haven't gotten around to playing has been Cygnar, though I
have played battle box games with them.

I have the most success with Protectorate of Menoth (of course), and have
done really bad with Khador as the army was really just an excuse to use Fenris. The
other army I haven't yet had a chance to field is Legion of Everblight, as I haven't
had a chance to paint my swordsmen and Seraph yet.

I think my most successful alt army is my Bart shooting army.

My New Year's Resolution is to play mostly Protectorate. However, every other gaming
night I intend to bring a different faction.

Good decision.
Skorne is a decent army but definitely needs some playtests.

I have Khador, Circle, Cryx, and Mercs. I'd like to meet the guy who plays Minions, though, as it's impossible.

I have sizable forces for all four; I can hit at least 1500 points with all of them. My main, Khador, pretty much has one of everything with a few select duplicates. My Cryx, which is newest to my inventory, is ghost/pirate themed and largely unused so I plan on using them a lot in the new year.

Yeah, my brother plays Skorne. Nothing he likes better than Morghoul, a Bronzeback, two Gladiators, a full unit of paingivers, and a Feralgeist in a 500 pt army. lol Though he recently lost his army (don't ask how, I don't know), he's planning on quickly buying it all back and then some.

"Impossible so far". But, Retribution's impossible right now too... But who knows what Metamorphosis holds in store... Or how long this thread'll hold out... For all you know, this thread'll last three years and we'll see Minion 'Locks in the book after Meta.

I'm not big on beast or warjack heavy, to be honest. I'm drawn to the
characterful infantry of the armies I buy, so I try to find ways to use infantry
heavy armies in most of them.

Well, my brother replaced his Skorne army and picked up a whole new Everblight army on Friday.

Almost 500 points of Everblight...

...and over 2,000 points of Skorne!

Yeah... That's jsut rediculous.

Well, looks like my hunch about Circle was right... But where are all the Menoth players? I mean, just last week the first page was full of people asking about Menoth armies... Or could it be that Cryx has pulled a sneeky win out of the shadows yet again?

I play Cryx, Circle Orboros and 4 Star Syndicate Mercenaries. Trolls, Khador and Legion are the most popular armies in my area. Legion sold out completely in my LGS when Evolution was released.

I take a trip to several flgs around my area just to "poke" around and see what everyone plays.. I've noticed that most people around my area play Legion. There are a few Trollbloods, one or two Circle, and i've only meet one person so far to play Skorne.

I figured that since Skorne costs alot, and fields more infantry then most that people tend to shy away from them. I've seen alot of people play Warmachine too, but sadly, it's been mostly Cygnar. Which I hate. I dont know why. Maybe it's the fact that most of them are blue, and I hate Space Marines..

I of course have my Circle army. I plan on doing a Legion as my next one.

I think most people are just "drawn" to a certain army they play. I know it was like that for me in 40K. Pretty much the same thing applied for Hordes/Warmachine. I cant see myself playing a slow army such as Khador/Skorne, all guns like Cygnar, or bow down and pray with Menoth. Circle was the best choice just because of the connection with the wild.

For me I only have Cryx so far. I got them because they looked cool. now I am playing with them they also play cool

I am under the impression that the jacks are not the best of the best persé, but they are very hard hitting.

I also like the theme of undead steampunk.

My second army will also be cryx, as I intend to make an army with skarre out of small jacks, satyxis and revenant. Kinda piraty/ghostly is my intended theme...

Will see how it goes

2250 Cygnar, got into them because they seemed to be a good mix of melee, shooting, and magic

Then got into Legion (~900) for the look of the models and to play Hordes.

Everyone else in my area plays Cryx
