Me personally, I cant STAND to paint any type of space marine. They just are so boring looking to me. I cant concentrate on them and I really dont care to paint them nicely lol.

Probably Eldar.

Many of the plastic are badly molded, its hard to tell where the body plate start or ends.

Not to mention the gems always seem to have a giant mold line running across it.

I hate painting any army with lots of models.

I am a semi-perfectionist, so I want each model to look fantastic. I don't have infinite time to paint guardsmen or Boyz, so I can't play those armies, unless I want 3/4 of my models to be unpainted for the next year and a half.

I am not being thrilled with the Sisters at the moment.

I can paint 10-14 Marines, 14-16 Boyz, 11-15 Aspect Warriors or 12 Genestealers a painting session (about 6 hours).

Sisters.. I am averaging half that. 5-8 models tops. Immolators realllllly take while.

The individual models are soo fiddly and detailed.. which means I have to go over them and over, fixing mistakes.

I hate painting, period... Perfectionist(ish) combined with sub-par painting skills and a short attention span for this sort of thing=paintphail. I love modeling and converting though, I'll do that for hours.

I agree that Eldar are harder to paint then SM especially the new plastic models. The old lead models had much cleaner lines on them. The pewter ones are crappy for mold lines. Next was Chaos, SM and Orks although Orkds were easy compared to the others. In old the days I painted them by hand now I use spray paint and hand paint the details. I think you guys know how time consuming it is to paint five different colors on a model.

Terminators. I hate painting Terminators. The problem is I like having them in my army, so I've got a second squad primed and I need to get an assault squad as well
My painting is tabletop at best. I know about the more advanced techniques, and I'll occasionally give them a try, but I always end up with a pretty basic paintjob.

Ordinary marines, so boring and they are so small for what a marine should be. There hardly taller than a IG

P.M. me for rational Eldar Advice, both on list construction or Tactics.

Also feel free to query me about rules from the Eldar and Space Marine codices, as well as the General Rule book.

Anything with too much mold-lines!
When they are on flat areas, it's not too bad, but when they run across detail, I find it very awkward to remove them without spoiling the detail of the model! :(

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Tau Fire Warriors, Im not sure why, they look like they will be easy to paint, then take for frakking ever. Hate them. Tried to make a Tau Army twice and sold it both times because I hated painting the damned fire warriros.

I quit working on my Chaos years ago because the details were too much (how many spikes do you really need?) Nids or Eldar would be the most annoying to me besides Chaos. I've got a Nids army in the works and I've decided a while ago that I'm just going to dip them. Priming white with a few details, dipping then basing seems more appealing than doing it by hand.

You're right, GW's yellow paint is terrible. Its not good as a solid color at all because it always seems too thin and needs a bajillion coats.

A Vomit Brown undercoat makes the yellow deeper, and richer, and have you have to apply less coats.

So far I have not had any fun at all painting my CSM army (Plague Marines in particular). Aside from that I tend to enjoy it, except repitition starts to get me annoyed and bored fairly quickly. After 10-15 models with te same scheme and such I get tired of painting it, which leads to difficulty with painting armies of things haha

Tactical marines. I love the models, but I've just painted so many dozens of them that I get bored just thinking about them. However, my Crimson Fists are all made of old models, so I'm painting Rogue Trader and 2nd ed marines, which is a welcome change.

That and Catachans. I love how they look when they're painted, but I just have to take forever painting them. Having to paint so many of them combined with how long each one takes really makes it hard to get an army together.
