I catch it now and again on cable here and it's pretty good.

I like the WWII newsreel narration, the animation is decent and the ensamble cast keeps things rolling.

It has problems, no one dies on camera and of course no named characters will die but it's decent pulp, saturday morning cartoons at least on par wiht my fondest memories of GI Joe or Transformers.

In fact it's closes to Lucas' original vision of SW as a modern Flash Gordan Serial.

Anyone else watching it?

I am a huge star Wars Fan... to the point that I can even enjoy the prequels. But there is just something about Clone Wars that gets to me. Mostly it is the art style... I just do not like it. The back grounds are stellar, but the characters look so 1995 CGI. I just cant accept that art style from Lucas and Co. I might give it another tryon DVD... but it is doubtful.

It has it's faults but overall it's a very decent and likable program. I especially like the space battle scenes, which are very nearly motion picture worthy.

I watch it with my son. I too LOVE Star Wars. Doesnt matter which Episode, Ill watch them all. But Im not so sure about the cartoon lol. Its decent, but I think I really hate how Anakins padawan acts. Im pretty sure in a real master/padawan setting, she'd get random beatings for talking to her superiors like she does.

And yes, so far I've been spared Jar Jar.

And yeah it would be kind of nice if the human faces actually, y'know, moved.

But all in all, a decent bit of entertainment.

I like Ashoka. She has ten thousand times the personality of Anakin "You're Softer Than Sand" Skywalker.

Only seen the movie thus far, which is a pain.

Going to have to wait for the DVD's I'm afraid!

I enjoy watching the cartoon when its on. I don't like the art style in CGI. When they did it, myou know, actually DRAWN a couple of years ago it was cool, but now, it looks like crap.

Heavy does not take prisoners.

I find it good for kids. im a big star wars fan too.
but all the games based of that suck.
also i find the stuff anfte the original trilogy the most interesting.

I think it is a pretty good show, although, I have to admit to fantasizing about how Ashoka is going to die. I hope it is epic, not something pansy like being thrown down an endless hole by your psycho-derranged cyborg apprentice.

i think the final episode will be a crossover with episode three and she meets him and is all deranged and evil and he cuts her head off

Admittedly I only watched the first two Episodes and there were things I liked and didn't like.

I liked how snark Obi was.

I disliked how insubordinate and try to hard to be funny the Battle Droids are.

I disliked how every Jedi cared deeply about the Slave Army the willingly accepted.

Jailbait will not die on camera, no one dies on camera. they do a good job of having a war cartoon where no one dies but that still seems to be a rule.

i hate the battle droids too.
in the rest of the universe they are very dimwitted and act with an single controoling intelligence.

If they kill her and decided not to have her survive the Jedi purge it'll probably be in the comics or it will show her about to defuse something then cut somewhere else and you see it explode.

I liked Genndy Tartakovsky's show a lot better.

heck there was alot of it in the 3rd episode.
and in the movie.

I don't like the blockheaded look the humanoid characters have.
Otherwise it was a good Saturday lunchtime cartoon whilst it was on here in Oz.

I'm a huge Star Wars fan, both my sons love the show as well, and it is very well done. Its probably the main reason why I just got back into the Star Wars Miniatures game as they both really enjoy it.

(Pretty simple to modify for two youngsters to play as well, 5 and 3half.)

Ahsoka doesn't overly bother much tbh, mainly as one of my Fave characters is Shaak Ti, so I let her off for alot as they are the same race.

Watched a good percentage of the episodes, around 60% I'd reckon so far, but my sons have seen more being at home in the afternoons when I work. From what I've seen they are very well made and extremely enjoyable to watch, hell I even liked the 'Jedi' Jar Jar episode. (my standards must be slipping ) so in all well done to the writers.

Gives me hope for the new Live action series, I think thats still incoming?
