As it is illegal to sell/trade a WoW account, I doubt the mods would allow it. Good thought asking first, though.

The real question is why you were playing WoW in the first place.
People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.
You must scourge thyself and be abolished of that most dreaded sin!

What's wrong with playing WoW? I wish I had more time to play it.
I can't tell if you're trolling me.

There is nothing wrong with that , different people have interest in different aspects thus excel in what they enjoy.
I love instances as well , when i first started WoW i was so excited , i asked my friend
" ok! so if i heard this right , all we have to do is run through this dungeon and i will receive goodies???"
I always wanted to play again but i keep telling myself "NOOOOOOOO must not!!!"
I played WoW for about a year back in BC. Got my priest t6, flew around on my netherdrake, then the new expansion came out and none of it really interested me so I quit. I never did like pvp in that game, but raiding was fun.

Yes the fantastic world of MMorpuggaroos. Fan-freaking-tastic-cly-a-waste of... something.
I always wonder why someone would actually spend the money on a pre-made character, as the whole point of the game is making yourself look good... in a nutshell, with fancy gold trim on the edges.
After playing Eve my tastes for these games and the grind-tastic fantasticalness they stand for really took a huge dive; first try and I was done, what a superb investment of what could otherwise be hobby and career time. Have you seen people waste away playing these games? I have... and it scares me .
Is it actually illegal to sell or trade a WoW account, as in, you could be charged in a court of law for some sort of misuse? Or is it just "illegal" in the sense that Blizzard will cancel/delete your account if they find out? I'm just curious, I've never played WoW, although I'm sure I'd probably enjoy it quite a bit (one of the reasons I've tried to refrain from playing it ).

One could say the same about wargaming.
One would also be in a biased position as well. War-gaming involves a lot of hands-on activity without the brain-altering grind, as well as involving large amount of applicable math. Sure MMorpug-meh, do have a certain level of math, but the grind totally negates any value in it, unless they are trying to teach people to be mindless fools 90% of their gaming experience.
MMorpuga-durpa-doos are provably addictive, and at some point I expect a certain amount of regulation to be put in place. This would involve something along the lines of parents actually being informed of the addictive nature of these games before they buy them for their kids. If you are an adult and you play WoW, more power to ya', but I actually feel sad when I hear about all of these kids that do nothing but play WoW in their spare time.
So this review explain GRIND, and on the way you see a few shiny things... some are shinier than others, but they all take as long to waste time grinding on.
Would someone explain to me how long it takes to get to level 80? More importantly, what is so very special about actually being level 80 anyway? Isn't it more fun to do it the hard way? Swarm the bosses and use team-work and what not? Perhaps the whole game fosters elitism as well.

At level 80 you can do the tougher raids and and get better equipment? I believe the problem with raids is that if your eqiupment isn't good enough you die very fast.
I used to play then quit when I realized it was taking up far too much of my time.
And yes the game is elitist. Every patch and expansion they bring out really only gives useful stuff to people who want to level up. It's a problem.

WoW raids are hard only if you are the very first group in the world to beat the boss ,
after that if a pattern is reviled , then its incredibly easy . Everyone would just have to know whats going on and pay attention.
There are lots of situations that if one person dont pay attention , die , they'll trigger a chain reaction causing 24 others to die and wipe the raid.
No god equipment can save you and your group in those situations.
Raids bosses are not hard , but getting 24 other people that will read and remember what to do is the hard part.
Also getting a raid leader with ego issue that wont listen to someone that knows what to do is also a problem -_-;
This is why alot of raids are trimmed down to 10men , where you dont have to put together 25 worthy people lol they also made it way easier now.

I find painting the same features on the same fifty gaunts to be rather grindlike. And what math do we use in wargaming? Basic addition? Basic probability? People go into just as, if not more, complex math for WoW. Ever been to elitistjerks.com?

Grinding is only as mindless as you make it. If you talk to guildies, listen to music, type in forums while your level 69 Resto Shaman slowly beats the elite to death, or AoE grind it can be enjoyable.

Really? Do you have any credible proof? Because 40k is a GW plot to mold us into super soldiers.,
Wrexasaur wrote: and at some point I expect a certain amount of regulation to be put in place.
What? .,

Do you feel sad when you see someone who spends all his time wargaming? The social interaction in MMO's is different, but it is there.
Wrexasaur wrote:Would someone explain to me how long it takes to get to level 80?
How long does it take someone to paint an army? There are a lot of variables. Class, spec, questing habits, grinding habits, gear, and a bunch of other factors all contribute to how long it takes someone to make it to 80. It took me over a year to get my healing shaman to 70. It took my brother less than half the time with a Fury Warrior.
Wrexasaur wrote:More importantly, what is so very special about actually being level 80 anyway?
The entire end game raid progression, as well as PvP, achievements, crafting, and more questing. Some people actually just enjoy leveling.
Wrexasaur wrote:Isn't it more fun to do it the hard way? Swarm the bosses and use team-work and what not?
End game raid bosses are very, very tough. They, for the most part, require you to be level 80 and to have a full group.

At the gaming store I work at we joke with older customers who ask about 4th Edition DnD that if they've played WoW they've played it. WoTC has prettymuch run DnD into the ground since 3.5 but 4th was just appalling.
Just for the record, I've been addicted to WoW myself and enjoyed it but I think those days are behind me. I'd much rather foster my plastick krak addiction.

After about 18 months or so of playing, quite easily.
At the time I left I'd had enough of grinding for epic gear. I was thinking "what is the point, ultimately?" I couldn't see it. And it was mentally painful how boring it was.
The game's too competitive, too. Look at the class forums. People make DPSgraphs for talent builds and gear! (and this is seen as perfectly normal, which is even more outrageous)
