Depends if they remain largely hands off...or if we start seeing 'crossover' marvel/disney and also a dumbing down and sweetening of the marvel stories/look/feel. There is a potential for harm to be done here but I'm going to stay optimistic and wait and see.

Part of me died when DC bought the rights to Judge Dred and I saw what they did with it. I hope Disney knows the error of trying to "ize" a subject to make it compatible with the corporate culture. The ads for the Hunchback made me gag when I saw them.

Not merging entities. Buying the cash flows and potential IP rights for movies. This stuff happens all the time.
I can see it. Disney is a major filmco and distributor for films. Same to same for toys. Marvel has mucho grande IP now and future for films and toys. Viola -synergies!

Yep. Disney is a huge company. I wouldn't think they'll be much interaction between the traditional Disney IP and Marvel's IP. It's just one huge company buying out a smaller one, probably with the rights to movies and games being a big part of the sale.
Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.
Haven't been to Disney World in a while but now that they've got Marvel I'm sure they'll add a whole superhero minipark if they don't have one already.
