"And what is wrong with their life? What on earth is less reprehensible than the life of the Levovs?"
- American Pastoral, Philip Roth
Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.
No soldier's paid to kick against His powers.
We laughed - knowing that better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags.
I'm guessing One Man Army is the new Juggernaut? Interesting that they took away the secondary slot if that's the case.
I'm not sure how I like the perk balance based on what I've seen thus far. It seems like larger games (my preference) will focus on launcher spam and Stopping Power. Not really what I see as a good time.
Still, the relocation of shotguns to the secondary slot promises to be lots of fun.
Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh.
I thought that too, but surely the Stryker needs a lock on, onto a properly large heat target (e.g. a tank), so it can get its massive run up and epic win explosion.
Heard about 'the Nuke'?
Sounds like a weird way to implement a 25 streak perk, but fine, if you can get 25 without camping, it's deserved.

The Armsel Striker (also known as Sentinel Arms Co Striker-12, Protecta, Protecta Bulldog, and Cobray/SWD Street Sweeper) is a revolver 12-gauge shotgun designed for riot control and combat.
Many different names. Many different models all going off the same.
Seen every vid possible so far I do have one problem though that bugs the feth out of me.
They have pissed about with the servers to get ready, and tonight its near on impossible to play COD4, instead of going 30 for 4 every game im going 20 for 5 or so, not much fun atall
I do want to see how the shield and AC-130 work in the game, im thinking they will either make or break it.
Shield could be amusing, and in S&D it will be a pain in the ass.
New secondary weps seem nice, and the bling perk adding an additional slot to your wep seems nice, but i think ill leave a final judgement for when it turns up
Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.
Armies:
(CSM/HH) - Iron Warriors; Death Guard; World Eaters; Night Lords
IG - Vestfalian Expeditionary
Force (Solar Auxilia - HH)
SM - Blades of Inaros (Homebrew)
DE - Kabal of Ouroboros
Hah, sorry, major confusion. Was thinking of the shoulder mounted Missile launcher you get under the 'Launchers' Section, the same as the one briefly used in CoD4.

That's precisely why. Given that Pave Lows, attack helicopters, Harrier strikes(GLEE!), AC-130s, etc are all in-game...you gotta be able to shoot 'em down
That AC-130 is gonna get disabled on many a server if the option is available. If the stuff I've seen is right, and you only need 11 kills to pick it up, I can very easily see matches turning into unending barrages.
Also, on reading Smiling Assassin's post again, I think he was referring to the Javelin (briefly used in CoD4). If that's the case, then I agree: why?
Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh.
I am so looking forward to this game. My wife texted me this morning to say it arrived in the post, but I've still got another 4 hrs and 50 mins left at work before I can head home. It's going to be the longest afternoon ever!
On a side note, can anyone confirm if the G36C assault rifle is in the game? I didn't see it in the video on the original post, but it's my fav gun. Not the best I know, but I just like it a lot.

Guys, I have an important question to anybody who owns a non-German copy of this game.
Spoiler:
In the very controversial airport level: do you have to kill innocent civilians or is it possible to beat the mission by just following the terrorists? What does happen if you shot at the terrorists?
I'm just asking, because the German release got cuts in that level, even though publisher activision offcially said that wouldn't be the case on multiple occasions. In the German version, you loose the mission instantly, as soon as you kill a civilian. It's okay to kill the cops appearantly.
Apparently in multiplayer the Nuke (25 Kills) ends the match and your side wins automatically. Of course getting 25 kills without dieing isn't very easy to do, but still. Apparently you only get one kill streak option, but you get to choose what it is so the person who picks Nuke doesn't UAV Jammer and all that.
Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.
I already read the strategy guide, and some people in new york already have functioning copies of the game and have posted EVERYTHING on youtube.
I'll try to condense some of the multiplayer perks/
One man army(switch class in a game(no wait for respawn from what I can gather)).
Ninja(Invisible to heart beat sensors)
Cold Blooded(Invisible to thermal and sentries)
Kill streak stuff
3-UAV Jammer/UAV
There are also 3 helicopter variants
(assault, attack, and gunner) in gunner you are the, well, gunner of the helicopter.
Some attachments:
Underslung Shotgun
Grip
Holographic Scop
Red Dot Sight
Thermal Scope
Akimbo(dual wield for you halo fans)
Extended Mags.
As a warning for the chopper gunner and ac 130 gunner, you CAN be killed while doing it. Similar to the other call of duties you have your guy sitting there, although, if you are killed it does not end your gunning session.
Tactical nuke ends the game and kills everyone on the field.
You can also call in supply drops and its an achievement to kill someone by having the crate dropped on an enemy's head and killing them.

Spoiler:
I couldn't answer that for you Anung. During the mission you describe in your spoiler I couldn't bring myself to shoot a civilian. I know it sounds odd as it is only a game, but I still couldn't do it. I wasn't offended as I've seen films where they do worse, but I instantly saw why there have been complaints about the game. Still even I walked after the terrorists with my mouth slightly open thinking 'how did they get away with this?', but in a good way as it fits the story, plus it is an 18 rated game.
In the UK version at least I can say that when the game started up it offered an option to skip a 'certain mission as viewers might be offended'. The message went on to say that before the mission in question started you would be offered the chance to skip it and if you decided to play it and didn't like it you could skip it from the pause menu. It also stated that you would not be penalised in achievements or in tracking game completion if you skipped it.
But seriously, how good is this game?!?!?! I've only given multiplayer a quick bash though, although it's evident some people have never stopped playing COD4 as they are seriously good. It was really fun though.
I played the MP all night. I haven't done that sort of thing since high school. It's certainly the first time since the original Halo that I've had any sort of endorphin running to my brain from a game. This game is truly fantastic. The perks system works great and everything balances out very well. Go get this friggin game and add me on XBL so's we can play! Veteran's day here tomorrow so I'm off work! (Kinda ironic (in a sad way) that I'll be playing a war game on Vet Day)
Thank you Morissons! £26 and no queue.
Have never played Call Of Duty before and thought I would try out the single player to get a bit of practice before giving the multiplayer a go. Is anyone else slightly disappointed by the "scripted" nature of the single player?
After a few goes I find knowing exactly what "shock" is going to happen next a tad boring.
