Subject: Conservatives are killing the Republican party (and Americans)
I'm all for a two party system, and while I disagree with 90% of what republicans say or do, in the end we both want what good for America and the world...in general.
I think that conservatives have been posioning the republican party for a while now, and the elections were not a backlash against the party itself but because the people speaking for it in no way followed themeaning of the party itself. But, it got votes so it was accepted, as republicans needed all the votes they could get. Now the beast is out of control and people with little to no knowlege of goverment, diplomacy, or trade laws, treaties, or the million other things that happen everyday.
I feel that the republican party in in grave danger, for now it's targeting it's own moderate members for no other reason that working and or comprimising with democrats, They have been labled Rinos (republican in name only). A good conservative spokesman or woman is loud enough to cow any opposition and powerful enough to not fear reprisal. The party leaders must bend to the will of these people, or risk having to play kiss-butt a few days later.I always said Bush was a weak President, IMHO he was supposed to be the voice and leader of the party, and he failed at both. Hell, by the time he left office any heir he would have picked would have been scalded. The republicans ran a campain of "change you can belive in" for the simple fact that Bush had let the party run out of control and into the hands of people who didn't know heads from tails. Of course the party went off course, people were elected based on how they felt about guns, bibles, and librals..and had no idea about how to run down the street, let alone run a government.
Now that the party has lost it's voice and ability to fight back, anybody who knows working with others and give and take is the way things work is being replaced by people who oppose anything and everything regardless of how it may backfire or make them and the party as a whole look bad. There is nobody in the party to lead it and the moderates are simply doomed.
Democrats have been able to score easy points, by showing a republican say something, then completely change his/her tone with the conservatives get a hold of him. The party had no choice but to change it's tone and look stupid, or risk losing the support of these conservative powerhouses.
Here is Bill O'reilly pressuring McCain into saying Mexicans want to destroy the "White male power structure" here in America, watch and McCain, the maybe Future Pres, wilts and finnaly bends over to Bill, a tv show host.
That pretty much lost McCain every hispanic vote, that they are the fastes growing and largest minority in the USA.
Conservatives don't just lie, they make up facts, for instance, take this email:
got this in an e-mail this morning and felt it was worth posting. It really makes one think!
The Book of Revelations!
This will make you re-think :
How long is the beast allowed to have authority in Revelations?
Guess the Answer?
Revelations Chapter 13 tells us it is 42 months,
and you know what that is?
Almost a four-year term to a Presidency.
All I can say is Lord Have Mercy on us.!!!!!! According to The Book of Revelations The anti-Christ will be a man, in his 40's, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal....the prophecy says that people will
flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, will
destroy everything ..
Is it OBAMA?? I STRONGLY URGE each one of you
to repost this as many times as you can! Each opportunity that you have to send it to a friend or media outlet...do it!
This got big wind in conservative sites, and was even posted and talked about on Fox. Islam was founded over two hundred years after the bible was written, for one, and the anti-christ was mentioned in the letters of john, not any other book. and it gives no clues to age apperance or anything else. Of course this did nothing to the larger world but make them look silly.
Then there is the flu shot protests, simply because the government was offering.
Now people are dieing, and clamoring for the shot. if one takes time to look, this flu vaccine is just like any other. You can't just add a "mind control element" or whatnot and expect it to work. Think about if these people had been around to proest polio. A lot of sickness is making a return because people don't get themselves or thier kids vaccinated from fear.
They insult our closest, allies (England,Canada) by claiming they kill their elderly, another bold face lie that serves only to make the party seem more foolish.
The fault the Presidant for things he has no control over, thus deluting the power of thier opposition to this we should be debating. For instance:
1.The nobel peace prize. He had no control over.
2. Drinking beer owned by another country.
3. his pants at a baseball game.
4.terrorist fist bump.
5.destrying the white male power structure
6.mind control digital tv boxs
I implore all Moderate republicans to stand up and fight back, I thought us Democrats were the weak-willed ones.
And whilst you're pointing and shouting at the boogeyman in the corner, you're missing the burglar coming in through the window.

You would be wrong. Granted I live in a more "red" state, I had quite a few contacts who were preparing for the Rapture.
As for the OP, party politics as usual. The best part is? They rile the populace up with all this filth, and then when they are in session they are like best pals, patting each others backs over communal decisions that keep the status quo. It's the largest game of reach-around going, and we are paying for it.

Sure it's reach around, but what happens if the Republicans are replaced b people who really think this sould be a Chistian only country or the like. It only takes one nut to really plunge the world into chaos, We've seen it happen before.

This explains a lot. How again are the Conservatives killing America? I don't remember Bush having Youth Groups like this worshipping him. Flashback to the 40's but replace the Black kids with German kids.

I think its important that in these troubled times we all remember these words, these words that have guided our nation through storm and drought, reaping and sowing:
Shop smart. Shop S Mart.

I fail to see how a bunch of fat kids being inspired to "HAVE JOBS". Unless your against kids being inspired to have jobs. I'm talking about the link between people being told the flu vaccine is bad for them in the middle of a "FLU PANDEMIC". Not only do they risk getting sick, but infecting others as well.
"Obama inspired me to become an Teacher"
vs
"The flu shot is a method of goverment mind control"
see the difference....
P.s. I'd rather Obama inspire him to get a job rather than 50 cent inspire him to sell an ounce of coke and get 15 years.

All I have to say is that I have seen some of this "Obama is the antichrist" stuff as well. I'm not saying he is or saying he isn't. But people thought Gorbachov and Reagan were the AC as well, so the likelyhood is small, and we would need a lot more evidence of it, to say yeah or nay.
As to the flu vaccine stuff, this kind of thing happens all the time, and is mostly driven by extreme right wing groups like neo nazis and the sort. However, I agree that it appears to be 'bubbling" up into mainstream a little more than in the past.
I disagree with pushing the panic button yet, but vigilance is certainly required here.

You mean the vaccine that didn't exist because the private companies which were paid to manufacture it overestimated their ability to do so?

I have serious, albeit OT question: what purpose do you think there is posting stuff like this? Because I think by now we all know your feelings on politics. My point is, don't you at some point risk being the guy in the room shouting stuff that nobody feels comfortable agreeing with because he's so unlikeable?
You can at least learn from Frazz. Whenever anybody says anything good about the left, or bad about the right, he has a specific counter example of something the left screwed up to post.

it's hard to get out a vaccine when people/biggest news outlet are fighting against it.
Second, if you know kids you know they dress alike act alike and so forth, Watch anybad music network.
Conservatives, are "cleaning house" on thier own party by attacking solid members like Charlie Crist, and replacing them with anybody who can spout talking points.
As seen here, they are planning to eat away at more moderates, and end up more out of touch. As much as I'd love to see that happen I wouldn't be an honest man if I didn't try to warn moderate republicans.

You want a counter Polonius?
Obama has done NOTHING for this country but propose things that he can't even follow up on. ALL detainees out of Gitmo? Not gonna happen in the time he promise. Healthcare bill? Not needed and according to latest articles not gonna happen in 2k9 either, more like 2k10. Troops out of Iraq by end of '09? Again, NOT going to happen. Need I continue?
I saw Obama as fail even before the rest of the country decided he was going to be the new Savior. I have reason to push the panic button and not just because I don't like the guy. I don't know BHO in person. He might be a swell guy. Hell, I'd maybe go so far as to give him a reach around if I was to ever shove my corn cob into his oven but as far as liking him as a President and our new Overlord? Nope. Me no likey.
