Tyranidtony here-Anyway- I told you Cane- he would just ban us and lock the forum post. I assume he banned you too? So what is the deal can I talk to another MOD or we just gonna keep doing this till I get bored and you are proven to be abusing you "MOD powers" ( such as they are)for your beliefs?

If you look through the OT forum there has been loads of discussions on religion, but they get locked when people insult religion.

Yeah- but you are missing the point- I wasn't attacking catholics as a whole I was saying that a man or women who are best known as taking a celibacy vow are not the first people that I would think you would want to teach about children- and the ones that I learned from were uniformed and knew very little to nothing- then I was warned by Frazz- because of the religious implications- I think mostly because of the invisible monsters quote- it was meant as a weak joke but was apparently too controversial- for someone who I feel is bias- that IS what is going on- if you don't agree or think that is wrong- fine- go talk about the new dark eldar codex- or who the lost primarchs are or something...

It is a weak joke- at best would you rather I say "flying spaghetti monster" or "Old man in the sky" proper terms we use for that stuff?

Religon is always a hot topic and everyone needs to be careful what they say no matter what religon you are to prevent breaking the rules or offending people.

Sooooo? is Frazz still around or what? I would really rather discuss with him- I don't want to post 50 times with religious people telling me that religion is important to them. Yeah I got it. You play 40k- a game who's story is devoted to breaking the first commandment- Emperor, Nurgle, Tcheench, Slaneesh, Khorne, Khaine, Gork, Mork, and on and on...don't climb all the way onto that soapbox- give some other people some room.

Tyranid Tony. There are ways of critisizing religion, with out being a jerk. Critisizing with respect, expressing doubt, debating in good faith, are all polite ways to get your point across. What you did was insulting, and ignorant. That is what got you in trouble.

I am not rallying dakkaites but I am interested in hearing what other people think- I ca get around being banned- and if I can't I won't loose any sleep about not being able to come back here- I am on tons- what I am interested in is right and wrong and was my original comment- wrong? If so- I said I will apologize and if banned I will stay off- but if it turns out that I wasn't then that is fine too and we can drop it but maybe we can get a little slack when we barely mention religion and are trying to make a valid point.

Apologies for adding a non related post, but that really made me laugh. Mostly the fact you believe Frazzled or any other MOD will have a post by post conversation with you openly on this issue for us to read, and the fact you assume we're all religious nuts, simply because we happened to express a view that Religon is a hot topic. I'm not religious, you made that assumption yourself, and with that I'm sitting back to await the locking of this thread and to hopefully avoid getting myself in hot water over off-topic postings.

You've been given advice by many of us here on what to do, please take it.

The name of one of the main 'Demon Masters' in the book series is Lord Loss. He's also my favourite character.

The poem was made up by the author, its about Lord Loss.

No I guess if that many people agree I was in the wrong than I can take that loss. If I actually offended people that were religious with my original post the for that I am sorry- for real.
