Anyone got ideas or even better pictures of their alternate Marbo Conversion?

I was thinking either Solid Snake from Metal Gear or it was suggested in my other thread Tanya from Command and Conquer.

This is the Counts-as Marbo for my Special Tactics Group army...

I should probably get back to work on that project... Curse you, Call of Duty!

That's one of the coolest Marbo conversions I've ever seen, Rico. If anyone gives you TLOS guff for something so awesome, you probably shouldn't be playing with them in the first place.

If my neglected Catachans ever get off the ground, my Marbo is going to be Duke Nukem. Pipe bomb = demo charge.

Soundboard? I have a folder of about 100 Duke Nukem one liners and sound effects that I got when I bought Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project off GOG.com.

Oddly enough Valk, I'm planning something roughly similar for my Bastonne model.

I don't have a painted pic but here's my dead easy conversion.

Mine is based off the catachan command set, with a stub gun added from an old plastic Necromunda Orlock:



Not the best pic in the world, but you get the idea. His demo pack is on his back for the WYSIWIG commissars.

I don't have a pic on me, but my friend (Who built and painted an entire 6000-something points IG army over the summer...because he had nothing better to do) decided to model his after Storm Shadow from G.I. Joe. His entire army is themed around Cobra Commander, including the right color scheme and a Destro and Cobra Commander model for commanders. Apparently the white was a complete pain to paint on.

Infinity has the best models to use as imperial guards (even eldars).

That is truly a beautiful model there. I went a little plain when I kitbashed my marbo, and now I am wishing I had gone a little deeper into it!

Here is what I came up with for Marbo. Its simple and was made to fit in with the rest of my army.



The Demo-charge was made from a spare missile from a heavy weapons team, some plastic card, and cluster mine from a scout bike. The gun is a hacked up Bolt Pistol.

Hope it gives a few ideas.

Thank you for the suggestions. I do like Ninja Marbo. Friend of mine did a Cobra themed army with Stormshadow as Marbo that came out good.

Now I just have to find a base to fit him...

Infinity figures are more in line with the Krieg or Elysian figures. They're more...realistic. Especially the Ariadnan ones. PanOceania or Yu-Jing, or even Nomads would fit better with Cadians.

Nah people just quote it because they are confused to what happend. Its not usual to see such comments out of the blue , thus one can assume he is either joking , or something that we dunno happend.
