Hi all,
I just had to post here because of how amazing the new rendition of Ramshackle Games' post-apocalypse game looks.
I know what's going on my order list very very soon!!
Check out the links here for boxed set contents and cool pictures
http://www.ramshacklegames.co.uk/nucren2/boxcontent.html
http://www.ramshacklegames.co.uk/nucren2/scale.html
Also, I want to play on Curtis' gaming table (PIC TAKEN FROM RAMSHACKLE GAMES WEBSITE):

Some photo highlights (AGAIN, ALL FROM RAMSHACKLE GAMES WEBSITE).
What a pair of models! I love the look of these and ork players should have already preordered this set. If that first one doesn't scream Big Mek's Pimpin' Ride, I don't know what will.
These are just a few of the great looking figures included in the set and I'm so excited for this to come out. I've already got a mental image of how fun my gaming table will look once I get to put these bad boys on it. Of course, I need to build said gaming table first but if this doesn't give me a kick up the butt to do so, I don't know what will.

Some nice ideas there. Before I checked the website I was about to complain about the lack of detail on the minatures, but £2.50 for a miniature who cares.
Going to order that last miniature for my admech army

That walker tank is cool, but the other tanks are not so hot, IMO. Some of those infantry sized models would make good additions to a 40K IG, or =I= army. Admech too.

The casting quality and detail level is very solid in my experience. They've moved away from the translucent resin that was used in the initial casts (e.g. http://www.tabletopgamingnews.com/2008/04/07/13630) and now it's a typical heavy grey resin that you can see in the pictures.
I had a couple of small air bubbles on my spider tank ( http://www.lead-adventure.de/index.php?topic=13496.0) but overall the casting was great quality. There was a fair amount of flash but I've heard that that is common with many resin models. Not a big deal to clean it up in any case. No warping or shaping problems that I could detect either. There have been a couple of times when smaller parts have snapped as the resin is more brittle than plastic but nothing a dab of glue didn't fix cleanly.
From speaking to Curtis (the owner and sculptor) these models should be even less prone to issues because they are made of fewer pieces.
And the price I just can't get over, particularly when discussing vehicles. The main set is 48 (so close to AOBR) and has 2 medium vehicles, 2 large vehicles, 3 small and 11 figures. It doesn't compare in sheer model count but given the gang nature of the game it comes across strongly. Frankly I'm getting it mostly for the figures but if the game system appeals to my gaming buddy then I'll post up some batreps.

Also, I must point out that Curtis is a very helpful and nice guy to deal with. I was considering using one of his bikers for an ork conversion and he offered to block out the figure part of the mould so that I would get a riderless bike and then include a regular cast as well for no extra charge. If you have a custom thing in mind then you should definitely ask about it as he will help out a lot and is good at staying in touch.
I also reccomend the miscast order deal. For a small charge (5 pounds on my last order) he will use the leftover resin and chuck it into moulds for you. The detail quality here is not always as good (I had ~60% in perfect condition, ~30% with minor flaws and ~10 with major ones) but you get a buttload of extra pieces for a very small charge. Check out what I got for 5 quid http://www.lead-adventure.de/index.php?topic=13537.msg168053#msg168053.

I found this picture on the internet, it's a fine representation of my experiences with the company as well.
At the very least, you need a belt sander if you want to work with this stuff, as it's all cast from open, one-sided molds.

That's a fair picture, there are some chunks of flash that need to be removed and sometimes broken pieces do come in orders. Curtis said that he had had some issues with breakages in the post and so updated his packing to deal with that. I must have got ten feet of bubble wrap in my parcels
My order had around 150 pieces (give or take, hard to count with the miscast parts) and perhaps 10 of those were badly moulded (all miscasts) and there were two breakages.

One-side-moulded parts can be a pain, yes. I had some issues with ones I bought from Ironclad Miniatures, though no belt sander was necessary.

The advance order that's up for the game set has:
■4 metal figures
■7 resin figures
■3 resin small vehicles
■2 resin medium vehicles
■2 resin large vehicles
■A 69 page rulebook
■4 dice
■Game tokens
Presumably once the game is out and ready for distribution then the vehicles and figures will be sold individually as well. Their prices are really what make it great. I can happily deal with a little extra flash etc when I'm getting a big vehicle for 8 pounds. Once assembled it all looks better as well. More than the sum of its parts etc.

Hey guys.
The new set of models are mainly one piece casts, so there is very little clean up needed, just a bit of sanding on the bottoms.
Im going to be selling all the models and constituant parts seperately in the shop. I will launch it all at the same time. Im just waiting for the rulebooks and boxes to come back from the printers.
As for any broken parts, just let me know and I am happy to send replacements out. As said, Im also happy to supply ork players with misscasts and custom castings, just let me know. I have a huge pile of misscast bits at the moments so let me know if you want any. They are basicallt a scrapyard in a box....

That's well cool, I've been eyeing up their stuff for ages (love their jungle plants and would get an IKB just for the fun of it!) for doing ork vehicles and I'd really like to do a big junkyard scenery set one day so this would help no end.
I'm intrigued by them being able to block out parts of a mould too, I'd like to get the spider tank for my junkyard (with a big crane mounted on it) but when I looked at the bits I saw the cab with the spider woman driver was all one piece. That'd be a) hell to modify and b) horrible to destroy such a nice piece just so I can shove some grots in there, lol.

I've got three of the vehicles as trucks in my Ork army and their great I also got the 3 for just oveer the price of 1 GW trukk. I also got some free stuff so I'd heartily recommend them. They also scale together nicely as 40K civilian vehicles.

I usually sell the misscast pieces in a big box, about 1kg, for £5 plus postage. Sometimes this adds up to alot, if you are in the US or Oz. The best way is if you put in an order Im happy to do deals. The postage on the web store can sometimes be expensive anyway, and Im happy to do discounts to people who write to me! You can go through the contacts page on the web site. Im also always happy to chuck in misscast with any orders to fill the gaps....
Quite frankly, the only thing stopping me from making myself a crazy dreadmob army is that dread mob armies just dont really cut it in 40k! I have a fantasy orc army and an Epic ork army, why I dont have a 40k ork army is beyond me really....

These are brilliant. All sorts of Inquisitor and AdMech potential here. A pairing of these (slightly modified with hoods etc.) and the MicroArts Iron Brotherhood would make for a characterful and relatively easy AdMech force.
The vehicles are also a total steal for that much resin.
