I found this at Home Depot the other day. I believe Office Depot carries them, too. It can hold two trays of Armytransport foam side by side, up to 12" or so deep. At $20.00 it's cheaper than what Armytransport charges for their bags and is a lot sturdier, too. Makes a passable stool when you put the lid on.

Still, you would need trays to fit into this. That could add up and exceed a armytransport bag...

If you have bought one please give accurate dimensions. the web site mentions that it has a height of 18.5 inches as well as a width of 18.5 inches and a depth of 3.2 inches. Unless that picture is incorrect these cannot all be true.
If possible please provide accurate height, and then length and width of the top opening. Please also provide thickness of plastic wall, whether or not their is a lid, and finally if the front has a door like opening or if all things must enter and exit through the top.

Actually, those dimensions are fairly accurate as the unit can fold in on itself for compact storage. Also, the handle is not shown in it's extended mode. It's just like an extending handle on wheeled suitcases. Oh, and this item does have wheels as well.

Your best bet is to wait for Lowes to run one of their 20% off coupons then run that into the Depot.

hmm I may have to look into this. I use the sabol trays for all my models and have way more trays than could ever fit in the bags, just for storing models cuz if I leave em out on shelves they get fulla dust. I'd love to have one of those for transporting stuff too since it'll be a lot more sturdy.

Glaive Company CO did a review on a similar product a year or two back that he said works very well for him. If the foam fits, it's probably the same item. I think he got his at the Dollar Tree or something, though.

Same as the Quick cart thats been around for many many years. You can find them at linens and things under that name. (I have 3 of them) Fits 2 sabol trays side by side and is around 20 inches deep. Bodichi - Go outside, the sun will not melt you.

I wonder if Bed Bath and Beyond might have em...

Okay, the cart's interior dimensions are: 14" wide by 16" long and the interior depth is 14"
As for location, they're near the "Really Useful Box" assortment of not-so-modular sorta stacking nic-nac boxes.
Edit: According to Sabolt, their foam trays are 7.5"x 13" which means you can comfortably fit two stacks side by side with room for books and templates or whatever.

This looks very similar to this http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/987304/Office-Depot-Brand-Mobile-Folding-File/
The office depot one has a top, and is the one I use. It fits sabol trays perfectly and is currently holding about 1500 pts of orks. With room to add about another 300 to 400 more.

Cool idea, although I would be hesitant to use anything on wheels on anything other than a flat surface. Vibrating models apart by dragging this thing around a carpark doesn't seem much fun.

They're all pretty much the same thing regardless of the "brand" name. Each will hold two stacks of Sabol trays up to 14" high and still allow you to put the lid on.

I think is aw Office Depot's version briefly over the weekend. They look like a good solution for home use. Too big for 'going to the game' use for me, but then again most games I'm interested in have smaller model-counts.
