So i have finally decided to make a blog about my army (orks if you have not guessed by now silly :-P ) i will try and post on a (somewhat) weekly basis and show what im working on right now. but first, getting acquainted with my army!

Awesome army some nice conversions

I love the loota with the tau weaponry near the front.

The colours are great, random and clashing but entirely orky.

The techniques themselves (washes, highlighting and blending) will come with time.

But ya got green skin mate!

Hey Blitza, I'm curious, what do you count the sentinel conversion as when you play it?

im almost finnished with my Kannons, and then do some of the zapp guns. which weapons do you think are the best against space marines btw?

Kannons are more reliable and also good vs vehicles (except land raiders), zzap guns arre AP2 whoch makes them good if you expect quite a few non TH-SS termies. In theory, they can also fry vehicles and gain an additional shaken result. They're not reliable anti-tank due to random strength though, so you needs lots of'em... If you have plenty of S8 from rokkits and such, go zzap guns. If not, I'd go kannons.

The paintjob on the sentinal looks interesting... Like crayon, instead of the typical crisp clean paint/rusted to the end of time and beaten by a crow bar. The lower jaw on the Deff Dread also has it.

Not that I mind. I think it looks great. My personal favorite is the Grot in a Stormboy conversion. That's one dead Grot.

@commisarkhaine: thanks for the info, that might help, but whats so special about SS-TH termies that make them a no for zapp guns, while the other normal termies a yes?

@necroman: weird. i do agree though, since i did paint my sentinel a different style, than my usual orks. The grot driving the stormboy actually wasnt a conversion, because it came with the sprue! ( it was my favorite part, and you can make grot missiles with em!)

first off the kannons, the orks hade to make some minor repairs. one has a frag missile loaded and the other two have a shell.



and the poor grot slaves, the big mek, would have found it funny if the grots guns would be toy guns instead, (the bastard!)

Interesting take on the grot artillery. The idea of the toy guns is downright vicious -I love it!

allright small update today, i added a few guys who i just finished (and one who ill update (snakey busta im looking at you!))

first off a big shoota mek for my squad, just finished him sorry for the blurry quality today. i was rushing :/


another nob,which i will use when im playing 1500 points (hopefully next week) aaak! i just realized his has no eyes! PAINTING SPOT AWAY!


and a snakebite tankbusta! Im thinking of starting my own tankbusta squad. (they should have made plastic models instead of metal :(



so thats pretty much it. oh and i just go my first job so i will be able to get much more guys nao!

on friday, i will buy some boyz to convert too!

btw, how many games should you have played to start playing an expansion?

Tankbusta looks good, the nob's arm looks a tad weedy in the pic, but that may be the angle.

As for the expansions: you should have a good grasp of the basic ruleset. As soon as you know the rules decently, it's time to start breaking them

finished three tankbustas so far, but im not liking the paintjobs. you guys got any tips on how you do ork skin? they were all converted to look unique (barely converted...) but still converted nonetheless

okies, so i made a few more tankbusta's and gave them a bit more of an "updated paintjob" so they dont look so ugly

i also played my first 1500 point game, to a tyranid player who i tied with last, time...and tied again!

i will put a few more pics tomorrow after school, so...uhh yeah!

(also the blog title says "and other stuff too!" so expect a spiky h'umie! too )
