It has been far FAR too long since I've been over to dakka. Which is really a shame because I do like it here and have some friends that are very active. ( Although they are mostly getting into rumor / rules arguments over 40k... )

Life really got in the way of things and a full time job is sucking away at all my spare time. Regardless, Kingdom Death has been slowly shuffling forward and I wanted so share our first nightmarish creature with you.

We have a lot of info about him too, just slowly getting around to cleaning up the copy. I hope everyone here at Dakka has been well and I'd love to hear what you think of our Gorm. Thank you very much for taking time to check him out.

Wow. That's ... trippy.

Would be a heck of a lot of fun to paint, though.

Love the style, I'm not sure what I would use it for but it would be fun to see painted.

Psh. Kingdom Death itself interests me as a game. I saw a hunter/cowboy/undead thing over on CMON... shame I can't afford it though (Uncle Sam doesn't pay that well). Still nice to look at, even if it is some good old fashioned nightmare fuel...

And yeah, Avantgarde, I'm counting four...

That's fething scary. I mean, as an Inquisitional player, I have no use for it, but he'd be more than a worthy Daemon for my mighty Inquisitor to cleave in two.

Which god? If it was more rotting, I'd say Nurgle. The baby face makes me think Slaneesh, but it's really not pretty enough for that. Certainly not Khorne. Gotta be Tzeentch, but it doesn't seem like his style. Not that I would presume to understand the Lord of Change...

He is a pretty blank canvas for conversion. I think you could stick any choas icon into his sides, add some extra bits and he'd be good for any good.

I always thought he'd make for a great mount too. Maybe we should run a promo where if you convert him then we pay you back? Something like that.

I am very curious to see how he might be used outside of Kingdom Death.

KD, you are absolutely right, you know. Honestly if you were aiming for Nurgle, it wouldn't take much but a little bit of green-stuff and a drill/knife to get that spot on.

As for a mount? Who the hell would be crazy enough to ride THAT? Even Cthulu's going "no... no, I don't think so."

Here, this is from the email we sent out to our fans:

Writing something comprehensive about the Gorm has proven exceptionally difficult for our editor (Anna). Instead Adam will answer some questions asked about the Gorm.

What is that thing on its head?
It's a lure that emits a puzzling and enticing light. Humans gazing even momentarily into the light will experience violent seizures that leave them prone for the Gorm. The lure is actually an evoled testicle that has grown out on a specialized stalk. Common bacteria in the air cause the exposed testicle to glow. Both male and female Gorms posses this trait and will even regrow lost lure's over time.

Why does it have a vagina mouth?
Gorm lives to feed. Eating bring Gorms to a euphoric state. Accordingly, they have developed incredibly extensive and specialized consumption and digestive organs. The fleshy walls of its mouth allow it to constrict and suffocate difficult prey.

Where do these things live?
Adult male Gorms often try to find or build a den ( with their large hands ) near a human settlement because consuming human waste stored inside the bowels of a living person is a particularly delicate ecstasy for Gorms.

Mating Rituals? These things show affection for each other?
During Gorm mating season, the number and quality of eaten humans ( discovered by inspecting their feces ) will often determine mating order. Sometimes Gorms will hold hands ( the small ones protruding from their mouths ) or stick their bulbs into each others mouths to signify affection.

Once we chew through our copy, we will add it to the site. So stay tuned for more information on this glorious creature.

Don't forget, in addition to the one growing out of his forehead, he still has two to four (hard to tell) back there where the family jewels should be. I don't know if that's a point in favor of hyper-detailed resin or against it...

Sometimes baby-faced monster elephant-like creatures need some lovin too.

I wonder how fethed up a Kingdom Death zoo might get.

Can't visit the site from work but, if the price is right, I'll pick one of these up as a proxy for some sort of FW Demon-thing. LOL

Of course, my copy would have the glowing forehead testicle removed and would be... umm... rendered surgically asexual.

That is pretty wicked.

I'm still wondering exactly what the Kingdom Death fluff will be like. When you guys first started out, I figured it was some kind of adventuring party in the bowels of Dante's hell...

I'm not sure that I've revised that opinion just yet.
