Not sure exactly how new it is, but I haven't seen another thread about this and I check the Space Marine website as often as I can and this is the first time I've seen the new trailer.

It looks bleedin' awsome! I was excited about the game before, but the new trailer has blown my mind. I like the new updated graphics, much better than the previous 'Dawn of War 1' style, and the sneak peeks at the flying sections. I love my WW2 flying games, so a level manning a Valkyries side gun shooting down Ork flyers and stormboyz really interests me. Most of all I like the fact that the Space Marine kicks arse!

Only downside is still no word on a release date. Last year it was scheduled for July 2010, but since there's no news on sites like IGN I'm assuming that it's slipped.

Yea alot of people are excited about the game, I know I am. Itll be awesome mowing down my fellow Orks in bloody combat. Im just glad that someone stepped in and told the original company that was doing it, to take a hike. The original version of the game was just terrible, it looked nice, but the gameplay was awful.The bolter was used to stun the opponent (yea shooting a cultist with a bolter will only daze them apparently)

Anywho, Im still waiting for this one to drop, Im glad now its a PS3 title as well.

Looks like they're using an over the shoulder camera for shooting, then switching to third person view for using melee weapons.
Can't wait!

Looks nice, I like how they aren't going for a realistic color scheme (brown on gray on rust) but are instead keeping it colorfull.

Early 2011 is all I have as a release date still.

Well I mean, it hardly matters when you put this into perspective. They're making a game where you play as a SPEHSS MEHREYNE fighting hordes and hordes of Orks. Does it really matter what chapter they pick?

I wonder if they are gonna time the release at the same time as the SMurfs movie...just for lols

You guys realize that the Ultrasmurfs color was just a random one they chose right? They haven't "officially" chosen a chapter. This is not a tie in to the movie.

No , it was far from random... Ultrasmurfs are the GW poster boys, if they make any sort of movie, game, etc. that's going into the mainstream they're obviously going to use their poster boys as the primary chapter.

Unless you can customize it, your wrong.

I would say that Ultramarines were chosen because they are the safest out of all the chapters to introduce to people outside of the gaming experience.

Black Templar= Crusading Wackos
Blood Angels= Wackos who like blood
Emperor's Fists= Space Marines who played with a lot of lego's when they were young. Also wackos who love to blow up defenses.
Dark Angels= Wackos with a secret
Salamanders= Evil looking Wackos who burn stuff for fun.
Blood Ravens= I don't know, but I'm pretty sure they enter the wacko department somewhere. Maybe the word "blood" will make the Twilight fans flock to them?
Space Wolves= Wicked werewolf and wolf worshiping wackos.

Ultramarines= Space Marines who fight stuff, not fanatics, not really wacko anywhere, no specialties, nada, just plain vanilla.

You know, what with all the fluff about Dark Angels having a horrific 'dark secret' that they go to any lengths to hide, as well as the inherent homoeroticism in their Primarch and Chapter names, I think you're absolutely right!

But on to my real reason for posting; Ultramarines DO have a specialty... Being as far away from any significant conflict as possible. (Anyone feel like posting that one 'history' of them?)

Seriously though, they SHOULD be a very specialized chapter, since their most significant piece of fluff is about their most prized planet being utterly raped by the Tyranids, and the obliteration of their entire 1st Company (all in the same fight!)
But then, as GW's poster boy chapter they were forced into conformity and being 'vanilla', reinforced in the background material by adding a 'holy book' written by their primarch. (I don't know for sure, but I would guess the Macragge fluff came before the Codex Astartes.)

Nothing they have released has at all mentioned Rowboat and his children. I know I read it somewhere about Ultrasmurfs not being the official chapter (YET), but I probably need to fact check it.

Me? I hope it's actually Imperial Fists, or Black Templars.

Everyone will complain if it's Ultrasmurfs, and they'll complain EVEN MORE if it's BA or SW.

Ultra Marines are the most esthetically pleasing out of all Marine Chapters. They just look very neat.

Nice lets just hope it happens ( fingers crossed)

face it, even if it turns out to be crap, your still gonna love it for a single play through.

The new Turok and AvP games proved this to me.

I love how everytime the marine is holding a chainsword he proceeds to PUNCH THE ORK IN THE FACE. That scored some respect points for me
