Blatantly ripped off from Lost Hemisphere. First off, Hakaar the Destroyer, Skorne's new character Ancestral Guardian, with Biggy McGruntdiabetes and a Nihilator in the back.

Next up, a partially painted Bloody Barnabas, the new Gatorman Minion Warlock:

Next, new character 'Jacks for all the Warmachine factions, bonded to Strakov, Siege, Reznik, and Rahn (Cryx gets boned on the attunement here). Pics of the ones that matter:

Rumor has it that the characters here are actually available for sale at GenCon right now, so possibly making their way to a FLGS shelf near you.

If PP ever shifted to Rackham /Infinity metal style truscale figs they would be unstoppable.

Their esthetics are just so blobby. Just looks like more of the same PP junk. Im assuming metal too.

So great I get to choose from carrying my 100lb WFB book or 100lb PP army.

Everything is obnoxiously proportioned, I want a non-supersized model. Thank goodness Infinity exists.

Damn man. If it were not for Skornery...

Maybe I'd get Hakaar just to have and paint him...maybe he can be actually an objective marker statue LOL!

I read some spoilers for the Cryx jack, it's like a supped up Reaper.
Seige's jack is a supped up defender...minus the hammer for a shield.

But the cost to what you get is pretty...balanced in that it's a kinda 'meh' vibe...but only rumors so far.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Because the Keeblers should be making me cookies, not killing mages.

Seriously though? Because I'm not at GenCon and I haven't found anyone who's snapped pics of it yet. :/

Definitely liking what I'm hearing about Strakov's jack tho. Gunslinger, Virtuoso, grenades, a flame thrower, an open fist, and pathfinder on the charge? I think Karchev has a new buddy.

Just get the properties of the picture and open a new window.
It's on the PP forums and you have to log in to see it.

Not too impressive, being only half painted and the glare on the black primer is pretty bad.
Looks like a gator with a hood over where his eyes are, weilding a two handed axe and with a trophy rack of some kind on his back.

I'm looking forward to seeing it fully painted. Love me some gatormen.

They'd need to fire their entire sculpting staff and hire Europeans. It's not cost-effective.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

The new character jacks come in an ~$8 metal blister, and only contain the special arms, heads, or details like the flaming stacks of streams of souls as well as their card. Those parts are then intended to be added to a normal plastic `Jack, and thus the reason they still look similar to previous stuff.

The only spoilers I've really paid attention to are for Malice, the Cryx jack. He costs 2 points more than a normal Reaper and for that he Loses;
- Reach
- Sustained Attack
- tusk attack
and he Gains;
- +1 RAT
- +2 POW on its harpoon
- Open Fist
- Magical Weapon
- Soul Taker
- one soul from the start
- +1 ARM for each soul
- after hitting enemy jack in melee can spend 1 soul, if you do take control of it and make full advance and 1 attack

He sounds like he'll be the Withershadow Combines new BFF.

Dug up some info on some of the others.

Discordia! (ret)

Cost 10 points. FA:Character
Same stats as a Manticore.
+1 Mat/Rat
Sp10 RoF1 Pow14 magical
2 Open Fist Pow 16

Field Dependent - when the shield generator is crippled this model loses Imprint: Kinetic Field and cannot attack with the spray

Imprint: Kinetic Field - spend 1 focus, this model and friendly models within 3" gain +2arm against ranged attacks and do not suffer blast damage

Torch (khador)

- All the front of card stuff
- Virtuoso
- Relentless Charge
- Can bond to Strakov or be included in his theme army (I'm thinking this is the text listed under "Affinity")
- *Action: Smoke Bomb (like Gorman and Trenchers.)

Now, that's an interesting idea. Reminds me of, hm, Forgeworld, maybe?
I wonder what else they will do with that idea.

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

The sink.

So what the Cryx jack isn't attuned to a caster?

From what I've heard the Cryx `Jack is the only `Jack not attuned or geared to any specific Warcaster. The others I've heard some say are Attuned, while others say it's not the actual Attune rule, but a new rule called Special Issue which just says that the particular Warcaster it mentions is allowed to take that character `Jack in their Tier Lists.

The attuned rule is actually called "Special Issue", and it allows you
to use the character warjack in the named Warcaster's theme
force and give it a bond in a campaign or should an epic version
of the warcaster exist. Remember that the Attuned rule is for
abilities that the warjack only gets when included in that particular
warcaster's battlegroup. Special Issue is a hack for the theme forces.

I'm really more interested in the Cryx character, and while Malice looks like he's good, he just doesn't fit in my list sadly...

My problem with Malice is it looks like all the "special" parts on the fig are the parts I normally replace or would not otherwise use.

Any other info on Triumph?

Nothing good and solid like the others. I've heard he can spend a focus to make his gun into an AOE, and then I've heard a lot of complaining about how crappy he is, but then it's the PP forums, where everything is crappy except for the overpowered Cryx and Feral Warpwolves.

The triumph is very good in my opinion. There's just a vocal minority of Cygnar players whining away in the PP forums, as they're want to do.

It's costly, but it provides extra options in a single that that cygnar will always be in need of. Sure there's other units that do similar things, but you can't, or won't, always take those units to fit in an army, or those units might fail.

Case in point, my friend would have done a lot better in the genesis tournament if he had a triumph. What took him out of the game was a near pure stealth army of Ret magehunters. Being able to pick off a stealthed solo reliably with RAT 7 + AIM + Snipe at 20" away is nothing to scoff at. And that's all without putting the jack into harms way.

Oh, and more news: PP just announced Battle Engines, some larger warmachines to hit the battlefield. The khador one is some kind of big chariot pulled into battle by jacks, the Cygnar one is some kind of large storm tower.

It's a defender with a shield, and +1 RAT that, when it Aims, gains Magical Weapon and ignores Stealth. Oh, and it can spend a focus to gain AoE 3 on it's shot.

Agreed. Same for the Manticore for Rahn. I really would have expected something in a Phoenix since he lives and breathes arc nodes.

Why does it have to be that much better or different? A character
model shouldn't always simply replace everything you'd ever
use. It should
be good for particular situations, and maybe not so good for others.

Triumph won't be good for every 'caster and every situation, but
think of Triumph with its primary 'caster, Siege, and the nasty
things that a RAT 9, ignores stealth half armor kicking 'jack can
do. And no one will really be able to stop it at range.

The blast part is just icing.

Character jacks for Cygnar should be compelling to take just like the other factions have. DJ, Beast, and the Avatar are all almost auto includes. Rowdy is the closest Cygnar has and thats only with a couple of casters.

Triumph does nothing to help Siege since he just duplicates a lot of what Siege already has. It's better to take him with a Haley or Loan over Siege and this is supposed to be his signature jack. I'm hoping that there is something for a potential epic Siege to make it worthwhile, but right now he's like the Thead that is also overpointed for what it does.

You nailed the problem with him though. There is nothing that will make me take him over a regular Defender. There's also no reason to take him in Siege's tier since like most of the cygnar tiers, you have to play outside the tier to fix the weakness of the list (unlike the other 4 warmachine factions that have several tiers worth taking).

Not all the character 'jacks are auto-includes. Blessing of Vengeance and Fire of Salvation are
used in specific types of lists. Cankerworm and Nightmare have their place but not all the places.

Behemoth is for those times when you want only one warjack. Otherwise, it just seems to
get too expensive to try to fit him in some lists.

The biggest problem we had with Legends was that the character 'jacks outright replaced
their generic counterparts. I like the idea of having specialized 'jacks for specialized roles. In
a Siege list, the added RAT just makes sure your Breach will hit what you want it to kill.

For the record my previous Pft was sarcasm. That higher Rat and ignoring Stealth would great annoy my Cryx and The Sauce.

You kiddin me? I use FoS in almost every game I play, it is definitely my MVP. Kills just about anything I throw him into.
