Why hello there! Sit down and make yourself comfortable, and enjoy some good models! (I hope )

I recently purchased a large amount of Imperial Guard off my best friend for only £25, he also threw in Space Marines and codex.
I have been busy painting them up and look forward to testing them in battle. I will also throw in some shots of my Chaos Horde.

On lighter news I have about 1500 points of chaos space marines, 500 points of Daemons 800 points of Traitor marines, For an Apocalypse game on Saturday.

I picked up the new Pink Horrors and have started painting them.



I also have some Bloodletters that I use as summoned Daemons.



Some Chaos space Marines, I'm really happy with his plasma pistol.



Im in a bit of a dilemma Dakka, I can go down on Saturday to my FLGS and either pick up Screamers of Tzeentch for my Blue scribes OR a shiny new box of Cadians to act as my Vets.

Which one gives you more points for your money? Go with that one first.

The Imperial Guard get reinforcements in the form of Raven Guard! No new stuff for just a little while as Gamesday is calling!



I made this thousand son like this because he is a renowned legend in my FLGS, I'm going to base him on a screamer.

No offense and I don't usually say things like this but before you say sit down for some good models you should really get your painting skills higher. First off try and not be so messy with your models. Take your time and be careful. Also try and highlight your models and don't just give them a basecoat. When you get paint somewhere on the model where it shouldn't be fix it, like on the tank. Do more then one coat so you don't have the colour you primed the model in show threw. The most important thing is to take your time.

Okay so I got some Vets and I wanted to give them shotguns, so I tried the flamer style and didn't like it but staring at the remains of the lasgun an idea popped into my head.
There going to be in a Valkyrie and just zoom round picking off squads. I also wanted to give my Sargent a plasma pistol and power sword so I raided my bitz box and came up with this!

Nice work so far!. another good piece of advice would be to remove the mould lines. taking your time in painting is important, but taking your time in assembling is also a very important part of the hobby.

Well life's been hectic and a bit of a fether to me so that's why there has been no updates. However I have returned to hurt you eyes with my terrible painting! I tried my hand at free hand on my rhino so C&C please!

The freehand looks very decent. might want to 'highlight' it, if you know what I mean.

I dont know what to work on next, Dreadnought, Daemon Prince, Marines or chaos marines?

I'm liking what you have done so far but like someone said previous just try and take your time a little more. There are some nice painted figures there but then there are some that looked rushed. I know it can be a pain painting basically the same figure over and over (I collect Death Korps ) but stick with it and you'll be better of in the end. I do like what I see so far and I think if you take on board this little bit of criticism you'll have something to be proud of at the end. You are by no means a bad painted.. I've seen a million times worse!

Thank you sir! Not looking forward to the amount of work on the baneblade ahead.. but hope the end result will be something nice. Good luck with the Russ, a good tip to remember is that washes work wonders on tanks... brings out alot of detail with minimal effort Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

I have touched up the Leman Russ in the problem areas and started on the Raven Guard dreadnought. White is a bitch to paint.

Liking the Russ... maybe use a little Devlan Mud wash?

Okay, I have an idea.
I like the idea of a army that is personalised, so whoever wants to can be a little piece of my Raven Guard army! If there is anything special you want on the model or base just tell me!

Give every guardsman model (tank or not) a nice devlan Miracle wash. Make sure it doesn't puddle though.

Have you ever tried washes? They may make the models detail shine a tad more. Just a suggestion.
