Just recently read a battle reports were they had Apothacarys in the termie squad.... didnt thin this was possible? or is it a BA thing?

You may have been thinking of Sanguinary Priests. They're a Blood Angels unique model that can be attached to Termie squads, and they share a similar model to the Apothecary. But apart from that, like Anpu said, Belial's the only way to get a real Apothecary into a Termie squad.

Yes; with some additional special rules.

Also BA Sanguinary Priests don't technically have to be "with a squad". They can be in a rhino 5" back from the termi squad and they're still going to reap the benefits. As will anyone else within 6".

i just wish that ANY squad could be upgraded with an apothacary

That would be good. A 10 man Tactical Squad can replace it's Sergeant with an Apothecary, but the points for that would have to be pretty high, as the possibility to make your regular infantry Feel No Pain would be horribly overpowered.

Sacrifice 2 elites slots and you get 6 sanguinary priests, enough to fill your troops slots with them.

No, they had no options.

Sergeants could get terminator armor. Veteran squads could too, but then they weren't very cost effective.

yes, he could.

the entire squad could get Terminator Honors and then purchase Terminator armor.

it did make the squad cost 50 pts each without additional wargear. the sergeant cost 55 pts

That costs 300 points and adds 6 kill points to the army.

6 kill points that will be buried in 6 other kill points that you will NOT be able to kill without massed AP2 or Str8.

it takes 24 bolter shots to cause one unsaved wound on a 3+ armor save with FNP behind it.

at least one of those priests will be in a squad of terminators. 2+ armor with FNP is even harder to kill. it takes 48 bolter shots to cause an unsaved wound on a terminator with FNP.

unless you have 2-3 Vindicators or a bunch of Battlecannons(Str8) those guys are going nowhere fast. he doesn't even have to be in the unit. 6" area of effect. imagine if he is just chillin inside a LR or Rhino.

They're a Forgeworld chapter so not everyone will want to use that and they cost 25 pts per replaced dude as well, which is a b argain , imo.
