SLAI?

Scrazza wrote:Is SLAI a video game? The game I meant was set in WW2 but with walkers just like that. Yoyu played as a charcter in a walker just like that. I'm not home right now, but I will look for that game.

Ack nevermind. SLAI is a robot game but in the future

I think I do know what you're referring too but alas I cant remember the name also

$300 for the Special Edition. read the little bit that mentions "All Robots and figurines are hand painted by professional artist"

According to Warstore the original price of the vanilla game is $100

edit: gah beat me to the normal price

BTW: All minis are the same size as AT-43 minis, might be a good time to get some UNA or Red Bloc...

Agreed there. 15 of them would be $75-90! Thats one side I believe on the starter set

To be fair though you dont get the artillery options for the mechs. Still it is a great deal

Necros wrote:Now all we need is someone to make a 1/48 kit for that Dora rail cannon.

Hmm that may be tough since not many people make 1/48 kits for trains. Theres 1/35 train guns though (not of the dora though but of others). Although some of these have a lot of parts (over 1000!)

$600, wow thats a lot. Must have a lot of details or something. Most of the 1/35 gun trains I've seen are less than $150

Esp. Kommandotrupp is a group of commandos, not a command group. Don't ask me what a heavy group of commandos or a group of heavy commandos is. They should really ask a native speaker for feedback.

Rule of cool!

Well for those in the states, amazon still has a few places to get the old core set

1. What scale is the game? I see models listed as 1:48 such as Fury of Ivan and "red Cossack".

I think those are the "collector" dust models. (http://dustgame.com/products.php?nid=12)

Dust Tactics is about 30mm-32mm

That way it was much easier to focus on the two existing factions and balancing them out. SSU was still not final when the book was written and instead of rushing it, it was prefered to wait until the SSU are gold and then balancing them out with the rest. Also this gives us more space for each faction to write about.

Hmm and technically the Dust Warfare book was suppose to come out months ago right? It just got so delayed that both books ended up getting really close

Necros wrote:So you can get the Zverograd book for DW for $20, but if you want the models, you gotta get the DT expansion also for $45?

Correct me if I'm wrong but what models in question are we talking about? Every campaign expansion for DT comes with one or two exclusive minis sure but thats not a whole army.

Unless you meant the specific rules for DT in which case yes I believe you need the DT Expansion to get things like Fliers and etc

Necros wrote:I posted before I had my coffee .. what I meant was, do we need to buy the DT expansion box set that has the 2 figures in it if we want to start a SSU army for DW? Or are there heroes and other models available separately if we just wanted to buy the book?

You technically dont, unless you really like the stats. You could play any army with just generics right?

I was thinking of getting some WWII tank models eventually to mix them in with my army and make up my own rules based on the guns the walkers have

Seems reasonable, I believe there are some fan stats for some of the more popular tanks during WW2

Allies have Death Dealers, Hell Boys, and The Hammers for Infantry; Blackhawk for the Walker, and Rhino for the hero.

Axis has Sturmpioniere, Heavy Flak Grenadiers, and Heavy Laser Grenadiers; Hans and Lara.

And outside of ebay or bitz sellers, the core set is the only place to get those minis
