Dear Dakka,
I love the Old Space Marine Models from the early days. I would like all those old school Space Marine Players (including Chaos SM players!) to post a picture of their favourite OOP miniatures, it may also prove a inspiration for conversions and future projects and possible swaps and trades.

Some of the older Marine Chaplains are quite nifty and perferred to the current ones by me. Same with the Librarians. More stronger even.

These:   I had a Few of them and was planning to paint them up to ally with my Space marines back when the daemon Hunters codex came out, I just never got around to it, then sold them of along with the rest of my Bitz box(A filled 2'x2'x2' Cardboard box, filled to only about 3" of space with various bitz from every army, including an entire Chapter's worth of unassembled marines) when I ragequit due to 4th edition and GW's answers to my questions("It works just like it did in 3rd").

Some of my favourite marine models from ages past include:
MkI Rhino. Why? The MkIIs does scream APC to me but reminds me too much of the m113s that the governor has out running around after blizzards to rescue stranded motorists so it has all the novelty of a fire truck, plus I have trouble seeing the MkIII predator built on the MkII chasis as nothing more an APC with a turret tacked on and not a battle tank. Another factor may be the primacy effect, the MkI was what was around when I bought my first miniatures and was featured in the photography in my first rulebook etc. Plus it came with the wargear.
MkI Predator (the one with the bubble turret). Why? While it was out of production long before I had even heard of 40k, after I found it and it was love at first sight. The aesthetic of the turret feels more scifi-ish and sort of feels closer to the sleekness of marine power armour. My only issue with it is that it is destructor only. Also, this too came with wargear.
Old style back packs. Why? The overlapping plates with rivets down the lower half look cool.
MkVIII power armour marines. Why? Because it's "new" & improved, looks bada$$, and plus word on the street is that getting shot in the neck sucks.

I'm a big fan of the OOP Obliterators. I hate the current terminator eqsue models (although they make great models for a nurgle terminator conversions). I'm happy that I am lucky enough to own a squad of 3 (painted to a decent tabletop standard).
