Leave it to PP to make better Ogryn models than GW...

Now the only issue is the "majority of parts must be GW" in some official events, that being said, I'll probably still get/use these.

Nice find!

Those are lovely. I wonder what factions/contracts get them.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

Wow those are great, judging by the colors though I would guess mercenaries.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Those are excellent. They do have a bit of a gorilla look to their faces, but at least they don't look like borderline vegetable retards like the GW Ogryns.

Armed with massive battlecannons that can lob explosive projectiles across the battlefield, the ogrun assault corps serves their employers as highly mobile artillery. Their great strength and fearsome axes allow them to effectively deal death in melee as well as at range.

from the pp page

wonder what kind of stats their cannons will have

Likely whatever the Rhulic faction is called. The Ogrun and Dwarves seem to have a BFF thing going on.

One of my only consistent complaints with PP minis is pose repetition within units.
In a game where you're likely to have 20 models or less on the table a unit of five large models shouldn't have only 3 distinct poses.

so learn to convert? I mean, I'm aweful at modeling but even I can handle clipping a limb, cleaning up the cut, and re-adjusting it.

Like you said there's only 20 models, whats the excuse?

very nice models if a bit planet of the apes-ish on the faces. they'd even make some interesting steampunk leadbelchers for an ogre kingdoms army. now.. if only the 40k ogryns actually had a gun stat line to justify how powerful those guns look... :(

Price point kind of bugs me ($69.99), but then I remember that if it was GW that 5 model box would be broken out and sold separately for 22.00 each.

I'm sure I've seen it mentioned that Cygnar and the Protectorate get access to them, but I can't find the source. This would imply Searforge and Highborn as contracts, if I've got that right.

The more I play WM, the less I could see swapping the models into a GW game. To each his own, I guess.

Really depends on the model. The Sea Witch UA for Satyxis Raiders makes a great Dark Elf Sorceress and looks far, far better than the official minis.

They look really great. On the site it says they're $70 for 5.. kinda pricey but then 5 ogryns will run ya like $110...

Yea I kinda agree it depends. Cryx Cephalyx's and their Drudge Mind Slaves make some decent haemonculus and wrack stand ins

I'll take the pose repetition over sheer model repetition (though I do like a bit of theme
force in my theme forces).

If these Ogrun are in a Rhulic army, it's likely you'll look at the table and see:

*a unique character leader
*troops with rifles and shields
*troops with long hammers
*Big guys with cannons
*several single ogrun protecting key models
*a stompy robot with a drill or hammer in one arm
*a round machine thing with legs that almost looks like it has no weaponry
*several little robot things with guns on their backs

It's not just dwarf in uniform, weapon type a, b, or c. Tanks with different armaments.

Those armies look cool, too. But I really like the variety in models in warmachine.
