I'm sure this isn't 'late' by any stretch of the mind for some of you, but it's pretty late to me

I don't understand! I used to be able to stay up till the sun rose. It used to be nothing! I even woke up at like 12 pm today! (yeah, I've been awake for 13 hours). I'm plagued by heartburn, aches and "laptop on upper chest" syndrome....oy, this sucks.

Anyway, is this difficult for anyone else? Any late-night skulkers on dakka that only get on at this time? People are obviously posting, but not on things I'm reading

This is also my excuse to tell dakka good night

I try and stay up late to squeeze in those last few posts on the OT Forum, as most other times of the day, Dakka is inhabited by "regular" people that post "civilized" and "intelligent" threads in the more "respectable" parts of the forum.

And didn't legoburner finally post in the OT Forum today?

Nonsense. The Battle Company box is perfect for filling out your ranks of aspect warriors with a large contingent from the Screaming Baldies shrine.

KKK is way better than KK. You get a whole extra K! That's a lot of K!

Think of all the stuff you could do with an extra K! You could spell:

DAKKKA!

I think I make any thread worthless regardless.

In any event I am now posting from my smart phone to spite my computer that turns off every ten minutes into DOW II.

I need to fix the fan in my graphics card. Insert sad panda face. Now.

Australia doesn't count, as it lives in perpetual darkness year around and thus you never know what time it really it.

So how do you explain the copious numbers of red-skinned backpackers who clog our beaches? You can't get sunburned at night, fool

Although it does mean that our native wildlife get a change in diet every season.

I'm usually awake until 11:30-midnight with stretches to 3am or so. Some nights in summer it's too hot to sleep.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

Nope, not unless they have a huge laptop that covers their entire upper body, that they are using at the beach, in the high 30*c temperatures, during DAYLIGHT (and it is summer here atm - this is usually signified by lack of snow not that we get snow much on the east coast here.) and cloud cover is irrelevant, as there are no absorption bands for UV in water vapour. I've heard of 'picking up a 625-line tan' but that's ridiculous.

Sure those are not people imagining the sun is out and they get a psychosomatic response that makes them believe they are getting red skinned?
