It says that Bleached Bone is "no longer available".

*Please* don't tell me that a colour I would consider essential is gone forever? :(

Your link is dumping me onto GW's homepage, but I am not seeing any sort of discontinued notice on the bleached bone paint.

Well when I log onto my account and try to add it to my wish list, the option isn't there: Where the buttons to add to cart or add to wish list should be there is nothing.

Also, the field "Availability" says "No Longer Available".

Maybe it's because you're a Yankee?

I’m confused….
Just checked GW website and Bleach Bone still there… even added to cart and proceeded to check out…. “Usually ships in 24 hours” is all I saw…
Didn’t see anything about being discontinued or back ordered…
This is freaking me out a little because it’s a primary color for my army…

I dont think it has: I went to GW yesterday and it was there in the new pots. I don't think theyd release it in the new pot if it had been discontinued. I also doubt they'd discontinue Ultramarine blue as so many smurf players use it.

It's likely not discontinued. They were swapping to the new, Foundation styled paint jars for the standard paints.

It may be that they just ran out, or the product code is changing, etc etc.

For what it's worth, it's still on the US site as "Available".

Yep. The only reason I know this is because some guy was doing a tutorial for Guard, and he said all his paints were GW. So I guess

Their "olive green" equivalent is Catachan Green.

Oh, then olive green must be something else by a different company :3 My bad.

Tentacle pink was ugly anyway, but fiery orange was great. I did my Aladdin sane bolt across my face with it. Blazing orange isn't the same at all.

Also think this is a combination of bad supply from China and bad website management (hey, the Chibihawk guy got fired

).
Ogryn Flesh also has supply issues, but is labled correctly.

On the other side, there are not identical, but similar foundation paints for all:
Bleached Bone - Deneb Stone
Blood Red - Mechrite Red
Ultramarine Blue - Mordian Blue

So who knows. You can always get old colours by Coat d'arms or Vallejo though, if in need.

So we can assume that it's only temporary? I seriously doubt GW would take down blood red. It's been a staple for too long, and it's used for one of their best selling products! Blood angels!

Maybe they're discontinuing the old style paint-pots and are bringing in the newer style ones (similar to the Foundation paints and washes), which would explain why this one is temporarily unavaliable.

This exact rumour came up about a year ago and I stockpiled a couple of pots just in case but nothing happened. I wonder if there is an annual supply issue involved.

Come to think of it, it may just be they finally ran out of the "old" pots and are having to wait for the new pots to be supplied in large enough quantities for a restock.

I think it's a quality issue with the paints, I bought Ultramarine Blue And Blood Red the other week and had to take them back to the store because it was just water, barely any colour. They might be recalling all the bad stock.

They're changing the product codes on the new paint bottles. No doubt they will be in the middle of updating the website to suit. Caused a load of havok at the shop as the new barcodes wouldn't scan.

I went in my local GW for some paint. They had f all in stock. I asked when the next delivery would be, they said a week but some colours are out of stock or very low at HO, then they asked what colour I wanted. When I told them I wanted mud they said there wasn't any in stock till the end of January.

Basically they may have just ran out.
