Hi everybody!

BAs are on the bottom of the page and on the next one!

This is my first army. I started with catachans because i like that they look like Rambo and fight in the jungle.
My army is about 1750 points but I haven't painted so much. I live 100km from the closest city that runs tournaments, so I play with my 4 friends. We're currently running a one-year campaign (witch I'm leading) and we usually play two games/evening every 2 months after school on fridays. It's funny, but we have a rule that your models have to be painted to play with them.

I'm currently repainting the skin on some of my older models because they look like goofy. I much left to paint here's a list:
- 2 primed infantry squads
- Cadian chimera that I'm going to paint so it looks like a catachan,
- 4 primed HWTs
- Unassembled infantry squad
- 5 ratlings,
- Ogryn
- 2 primed sentinels
- Veteran squad that I'm repainting
- PCS that I'm repainting
- CCS that I'm repainting
I've got some other models too form other squads

But now lets get to the pics. Guardsmen and an officer I painted today:

2 guardsmen and a sergeant.

2 guardsmen and an officer.

This is what I'm working on right now:

I did this squad when I was new to the hobby and didn't have a codex, so now I've changed their weapons.

Same with this squad.

So what do you think?

Bit better than my first army (which was also Catachan). Blobs with legs best describes them and their paint shceme

Thanks Scrazza!

It's been a while since I last posted, so I have much to show you!
I've painted the veteran squad and the platoon command. I've also started to paint another veteran squad and build some Catachan rough riders.

I'll start with the finished veterans

The 3 remaining vets.

2 veterans.

The platoon command.

Rough riders WIP:

The first 2 rough riders

3 assembled cold ones, I didn't glue the heads yet.

The cold one heads after surgery.

The cold ones are so fat that I had to cut off the leg.

I've also tried to convert my valkyrie into a vendetta. Still thinking about how to attach the guns to the wings.

Stay tuned!

Tank you!

After sitting 3 hours at the desk and sculpting and building, I've got some more WIP pics of the cold ones. I even made up some titles for them, but no names yet. The only thing left to do before painting is some green stuff work on the arms and hands.

The sergeant/rough rider special character without name (=mogul)

The rookie

The communicator

The maintainer (I think its called that?)

The medic

I've also ordered some BA stuff for my upcoming BA project, so If you like BA check this blog soon.

That's all I've got for today. C&C apprieciated.
See ya!

I have always wanted to make rough riders with he cold ones but have never had the time. After seeing this I may look into it once more!

Nice work overall, your highlighting on the BA is very crisp and the extra details on the riders really brings them to life!

Hi again!

At last I was able to update this blog, I've done many things these days. One rough rider is painted, I've also continued to paint my second veteran squad, finished my valkyrie/vendetta, painted the executioner guns and started to repaint the CCS.

BA hasn't arrived yet, I guess they will come next week or something.

Anyway, here's some pics of the things I've painted

This is the first rough rider. I think I'll paint the green scales on the cold one blue, otherwise the miniature will be too green, but first I want to heat what pepole think.

My Vendetta called "The Emperors Smile"

The shark's teeth and a smiley

4 additional veterans

CCS, but where's the medic!?

My Executioner called "Toaster", I've also painted a bread. This monster killed 20+ boyz in a single turn!

I'll take a break from the riders, because my friend will probably organize a gaming evening next week, where we will play a 2vs2 player game. He isn't sure but I've already made a 750 point planet strikeish list.

CCS, 3 plasma guns, medic, chimera
Marbo
Veteran squad, 3 flamers, chimera, storm bolter
Veteran squad, 3 flamers
Veteran squad, 3 meltaguns
Vendetta
Sentinel, AC

My only hope to destroy the bastions are the meltaguns and lascannons, but I think my SM friend will bring a multi-melta dread and maybe some terminators.

With that list in mind I still have to paint a medic, a sentinel and 4 veterans in 4 days, I think its possible!

That's all I've got for today. C&C apprieciated.
See ya!

It looks good as it is. I don't think that blue scales would fit in. I think it would look off. I say, leave it as it is, but that's all up to you.

Just got my BA yesterday, that means I'll be busy building and painting them for a week or two. One of my friends is ill so there will be no game tomorrow, that's one of the reasons I'm taking a break from the catachans.

With that said here are some pics of the blood angels, I also moved the older pictures down here.

Here are the boxes

Here's my pile o' sprues

Death company with infernus pistol. I'm going to make all BA bases like that one.

Red armour test on this sanguinary priest. I ordered a can of army painter dragon red, will test it and see if it's better than this.

These are my first space marines that I've painted so they're painted in a very easy paint scheme.
Here's some pics of them:

More death co. coming up today

Automatically Appended Next Post:
It has been a long day and here's the result of the hard work. Nah! Just kidding!

The entire death co is assembled and the rhino is waiting for some more details, here are the pictures:

The arms, heads and backpacks are going to be painted separetly. The muzzle holes are drilled, so there's only two things remaining, sand on the bases and priming.

Just some details are missing here but I'll put some scrolls and other details (commander head) tomorrow

That's all for tonight.

Now it's time for a movie!
