Oh, here is the termie next to a long term project I've got kinda on the backburner.

Decided to do another termie. Also put a gnarly chaos tentacle on the first guy.....building arms too.

After a bit of work.

I like the clever use of tyranid bits! Would love to see them painted

Oh they'll get some paint eventually.

Need to finish the modeling. Might do a couple more if I can find parts in my bins.

I will say though that the modified powerfist and tentacle is ingenious, i love it!

Great mods on the other arms too, and I'm sure I saw nid bits in thre--sorry feeling lazy tonight and dont fancy reading--and nids are very easy to do mutations with... well, that and now they have chaos daemons sets it takes the fun out of it too....

The "tentacle" is actually the tongue from one of the Carnifex heads, the arm is a chopped down peice from a Carnifex arm, and the horns on the gooey termie are chitin spikes from the Carnifex kit as well.

Reworking my heavy support to be more aesthetically cohesive.

I have no idea what that is but it looks awesome! Kinda gives off a Dead Space Feel. However, the carapace makes it look a little more like Nids than Chaos =x

Yeah, its definently "out there" even for chaos stuff. The color scheme is going to be identical to the rest of the war band (some day) so it should be a pretty good centerpiece for the army.

Demon Prince/Greater Demon (clearly unfinished)

For this one I had to drill out holes in the modified Carnifex carapace and cast in GS sockets. This would be much easier and faster if I invested in a hobby drill.

The beetle shaped body is the lower hull of a Necron Destroyer, the wings are from the GW Demon Prince kit.

love that demon prince, looking real good so far.

Terminators primed and ready to receive paint!

Cool, I was sorta iffy on it. I figured its going to offer some really crazy opportunities when it comes to paint.

There are parts from multiple kits in all the conversions I do. Mostly Tyranid Carnifex and Chaos Spawn.


The skull shoulder pads are from the CSM Terminator and CSM Terminator Lord kits.

Ah I thought the three arms were from LOTD as I remembered seeing them in the 4th edition rule book on the kill-team article.
But the idea of them being from spawn never occurred to me.

Its actually a spawn arm with a 3rd arm clipped from god only knows what and then posed in an "uplifted" position.

Oh well in that case well done.

Having looked at the dreadnought several times now, im less and lesss of a fan of it, at least it continuing to count as a dreadnought. Im thinking it makes a better daemonprince than the other model.

Most likely it will be played as a Defiler.


I appreciate the input, but personally I feel that the model itself for the Heavy Support options (the dreadnought thing) simply doesn't convey enough of an appearance of intelligence. To me it simply looks like a rampaging engine of destruction that should probably be roaring inhuman vocalizations.

Demon Prince needs to have a more mysterious and non-humanoid form.

Think Lovecraft.

Here is a spawn I've been working on. He's modeled to be playable as a Terminator Aspiring Champion, or maybe even a Chaos Lord!
Needless to say I've got to clean him up a bit and then prime. The arm is braced while the GS cures. Probably easier to pin, but I have GS and no drill so y'know.

Sort of. Parts are "shelf of shame" rebuilds, the rest are kitbashes with small amounts of GS here and there.

Shelf shame, i have a draw of shame (actually about3 draws) that i use for bits, but none of my stuffs as good as yours
