Beside, you can't dislike Germans and their awesomeness in warfare. They so rock....

Elysians. I like the look of the models, I like their battle doctrine, their rules are pretty good, and, of course, I play them! I just wish they'd stop getting dicked so hard in the fluff!

either DKOK because of their sheer awesomeness in war, being stuck in literally the worse wars - trench warfare. Or Elysians (hence my name...), always loved paradrop infantry. And the Tanith, only after reading all the GG novels

Tallarn Desert Raiders.
They have elite tank regiments (Tallarn was the site of the biggest ever tank battle) for starters. But that's not main reason I like them.. They're really different to all the other regiments as well. There's loads of character in the models. And I just love the fluff: desert artisans, horsemen, and ambushers, but on a massive imperial-recruitment-world scale.
After those, probably the Praetorians...
Wonder what will happen to the classic metal regiments with the finecast switchover, eh? Could finally be the death of some of these old ranges. Here's hoping that they get the resin treatment and a few more sculpts each (but I really doubt it)... A standard bearer and a flamer would really benefit the Tallarn, and would another officer be too much to ask? Converting metal is a pain...

Valhallan! The commissar suits the theme, I like the models and I play them!
Still... The Cadians, Steel Legion are awesome, the Elysians and Tanith are great, the Catachans are fine, Vostroyans, Mordians and Preatorians are ok, Tallarn are meh. (I dislike the models...)
I lack the words to explain DKOK.
Inside my IG army, I try to get a unit of every type of model in it, not for the fuff, but just because it's awesome!

REGIMENT is the name you're looking for. The Armageddon Steel LEGION are an Imperial Guard REGIMENT. A legion is one of the original 20 Space Marine Legions.
Grammar Gestapo and Fluff Fanatic aside - Steel Legion are the coolest and best regiment by far. If they weren't metal and unafordable I'd be owning hundreds of these bad boys.

My personal favourite are the Vostroyans just for the Tsarist Russia look. Steel Legion are a close second because I like the WW2 Blitzkrieg look they have

Funny thing to do on L4D [if you own the server] Bind the tank music to a key, then at quiet moments press it and start firing like mad at something behind your team whilst screaming 'tank' on voice comms. |
