These are old photos, i built this monster about 5 years ago out of a landraider, 2 defilers and about 5 meters of greenstuff, included are a box of zombies, sea shells, lots of guitar wire , and magnets, allof the libs are held on with rare earth magnets, plus it is also lit up inside.

When i built it i just had in mind "what would happen if a landraider could walk?"

I dont use it in games or have rules for it, it not very strong for table top use as the legs are only held on with magnets and easily come off if pulled. Hoever now im going to strengthen it and create a whole army around it, just using parts of old models and a lot of greenstuff.

That is an awesome model.

First thing that comes to my mind was "Nurgle Brass Scorpion"...
make your own rules, that thing is too crazy to NOT be on the tabletop

It reminds of a story I've once read, don't know which codex it is from: A landraider wanders without crew through an ocean...
Now yours is an Ultramarine Land Raider which was possesed by a sea-deamon!

Very awesome. I want to make one for my nurgle army as well. I know this couldn't possibly be the only nurgle thing you have made. You got any pics of other stuff?

The Scorpion was my first majorly converted model, and it just kept getting bigger. Ill take more photos of it as it has a full internal detail with heads and arms coming out of the walls and roof.

There are 18 rare earth magents in total, 5 meters of greenstuff, about 2 meters of steel pins as the defiler legs were all cut and extended. I bulked the legs with Miliput for strength and then the greenstuff for the details. Greenstuff was sclupted on pretty much every square inch of the model, the tail is a network of steel pins, defiler parts, and a lot of greenstuff, its pretty solid.

The lighting is hidden down inside the wall of the tank with the wires going from a 3v batter to the 4 leds which are on the top of the walls, with more greenstuff to hide the wires.

I have an album of the in progress pics i shall post soon.

Very nice, I agree a Nurgle Brass Scorpion or just turn that crazy CC LR into a walker with troop capacity. Great Job....

Very nice conversion and paint job. Not sure I'd call it a scorpion, as it has more of a crustacean/oceanic vibe to me.

Sea scorpion? (They are a real thing in fact)

Can't wait to see more of this if you plan to do an army around it, it'll be quite unique!

Definitely Nurgle Brass Scorpion. Dayum I'd be scared to see that thing fielded during an Apoc game. Even if it's a little big, it's still badass. Too much guitar wire on the legs though IMO. The rust effect is perfect!

Very nice - I would definately use it as a Brass Scorpion - those things are insane. i like the amount of guitar wire on the legs, makes it seem a lot more like a 'working' machine rather than "Oh, look, another deamon thing that would never work!". Very nice work.

Okay, I've been on a bit of a hiatus 2011-14
