In light of my recent spectacular failure in SEMPER VICTORIA, I thought I would try a novel new Idea

this would be a long-ish posts (100 words, no exceptions this time)

Several people from one universe get transported from their universes to 40k (or the other way around) here are the voting options.

From 40k: 0
To 40k: 0

The options for the universes for from/to are these:
Star Wars:0
HALO: 0
Star Trek: 0
D&D:0
AVATAR:0

(I dont know jack about starcraft, but I heard it was supposed to be a 40k game)

The minimum amount of players is three optimum is 6/10 there is no max

This, in my opinion, is a bad idea that entails many complications, therefore I must heartily disagree.

Just as an example, you said you'd have people going to/from the 40k universe.. having people in different universes limits player interaction and makes it confusing.

no I mean say in the beginning the group goes FROM the 40k universe TO the star wars universe. They stay there for the whole RP

Might work.. but it would spur a whole load of pointless discussion of what does what to who and what weapon is stronger than what and whether The Force = Psychic Powers etc.

And this board doesn't need another RPG. I know the feeling - you have this great idea and you really want to do it. But trust me, it's only a good idea if you leave it until there's less roleplays (a fairly long wait) and then you still remember it and think it's good. Space Hulk is the best example.

I'm aware of that; I am a being of sufficient intellect to understand such simple concepts.

IDK. It`s a very complicated idea. It could work. Or it will fail miserably. So Idk. The whole conversion would cause problems so I`d say this probably wouldn`t work. Unless you make a huge list on equalities, and that would be massive.

I`d make two universes. It`d be easier. I`ll help. Then you would automatically have the equality charts.

If you're creating two new universes you may as well just do a totally different RPG using the creatures/weapons etc from both in one.

if (and this is a strongly worded "if") This Rp was going to go ahead, i would strongly reccommend NOT trying to introduce players into the 40K universe from anouther setting, simply because their weapons wont be up to dealing with power armour. I can see a blaster clip being eptied point blank into a marine and it not doing any damage

I vote star wars ^.^ it's the one I know most about although D&D isn't a fixed area unless you go by the stories, films or computer games.

same problem, tho, you almost want to drop 40K completely, the only thing that could kill a marine would be a proton bomb or a jedi... mind you now that would be funny. "Jedi, reflect this!!!" *Cue bolter rounds*

hmmm ^.^ would phazzers and starwars photon weapons act the same against bolt rounds and swords as they do to each other?

yes. the point is that you as a character will be god.

they usually richochet dont they? im more inclined to say that bolter rounds would explode and swords would just catch the shot

and power swords would be able to block a light saber

yeah it probly would but he wouldnt be able to block all of them, expecailly when a bolter has almost tripe the fire rate of a blaster and weve seen jedi struggle with a single blaster before. Maybe not in the movies but certianly in the cartoons and occasionally in the books

But this sounds crazy. More Crazy than my Azeroth Vs Space Marine Crusade idea.

(Look at my codex (its in my sig) and then the skullscreamer lord with Bone sword and Dragon hide shield with harbinger armour if you want an idea of what i would bring. XD)

Just one Angel Prince could extermiate an entire planet due to the fact he owns and maintains a Knight host (space marine company) and owns a very small fleet of astrates. Oh My lore gets annoying as they get access to Weapons that the rest of the imperium thinks has been destroyed. ahhh good times.

But anyway you have to get down to what you can limit. Because we do not want a Starkiller equalvent or a Tigurius or a invinicible bear or something going around killing people at will. You need to set up how powerful your character can be. And they can't be better, but they can be worse.
