I only check the specific sections Im interested in. That basically means tactics (specific to CSM), and the various painting blogs/showcases.

Dakka covers a broad area - you can take what you need, and leave the rest.

Am slothful too KC
Always end up browsing the Recent Threads listings instead of looking for new stuff in the more interesting sub forums

I do get email notifications from said forums to be fair so I know where to look if something of interest crops up.

Must subscribe to the P&M section as I think I missed that one.

I've got a fairly strict list of what I'll click on consisting of everything but the proposed rules in the 40K section, painting and modeling showcase, news and rumors, swap shop,, the OT forum and then fantasy's background/general discussion. Nothing else

Spend most of my time here under the OT bridge, browsing the P&M forums or over in Chain Fiction, but I float about a bit...
Really the only Forums I don't ever read are the WHFB ones and YMDC ( as it gives me a headache).

I only really post in the OT Zone, Video-Games and the RPG forum. I occasionally go to the Warhammer Fantasy, Nuts and Bolts and 40k Background Forums. I also like looking at the painting forums but I don't really

leave any comments, more just ogling at the "perdy" paint jobs. Should this be in Dakka Discussions?

Probably work

I'm in DCM, N&R, Tournament Discussions, GD, the 40k section, P&M, the RPG section, occasional video games, and OT.

Anything else is quite rare.

I've ventured into every part execpt the Fantasy threads, and posted at least once in easch one. Though I do tend to favour particular forums. I used to spend a lot of time in the proposed rules and YMDC areas, but since not being able to game for a long time I've grown unfamiliar with the rules so haven't really been qualified to help with rules

Trying to do a bit more BFG which hasn't helped with the lack of 40K

My most oft visted sections are as follows...

News and Rumours - To see all the GW leaks
Dakka Discussions - To gripe about GW
Painting and Modelling Showcase - To gaze in awe and wonder
Painting and Modelling Blogs - For inspiration
Fantasy Discussions - For a good chinwag with the fast diminishing crowd of Fantasy players
Off Topic - For general chit chat

I occasionally wander into the 40K forums, but never, ever click on YMDC for either 40K/Fantasy. Life is too short

I do the News, General, Painting, Showcase and Off Topic regularly.

Sometimes I look at the Swap-Shop, Blogs, Polls, 40K General and some of the 'other games' sections if I'm after something specific or a topic has caught my eye.

Never been in the fiction, LOTR or campaign sections, only looked in the make-da-call section once (ugh), don't believe in tactics so don't bother with those.

I think I've opened almost every subforum at least once. Going through the list, the only ones I think I haven't touched are:
Fantasy Battle Reports, Warmahordes YMDC, Flames of War, Spaceship etc, Campaigns, and the DCM

As for people putting down YMDC, I think you should consider giving it another chance. The trick is recognizing which threads will devolve into flame wars and endless debates, and avoid those threads. But, there are plenty of threads about straightforward issues, or complex situations with a clear-cut answer. I've learned a ton about the rules by hanging out on YMDC, and I really feel that it's made me a more knowledgeable player.

DCM, Off topic, News & Rumours, Dakka Discussions, 40K General, Painting and modelling, P&M Showcase, P&M Blogs, Skirmish Games, Warhammer Fantasy General (although a lot less reccently) RPG & Board Games, Survivor Games and Video Games.

If its not on that list it gets an occasional glance.

P ampersand M, a bit of fiction, various 40k, DDs and a quick flick through news and rumours; though i rarely properly enter the debates therein. Thats about it.

I am one of the few fiction fans it seems. Which is a real shame, take the time to read one, leave a comment. You'll make someone's day if you leave a comment, even if it is an exhaustive list of the typos and syntax errors. Its just like five minutes... Starting to sound like a charity drive lol

I consider myself a pretty good, but lazy, writer and i like to write pulp as it is relaxing. I take the time to read as much of other peoples as i can (except 'Marines custom chapter background' style threads or 'Star trek Vs 40k crossover' garbage (no offence)). I am excited when someone leaves a comment and know that other people like it too.

I also like to leave comments or criticism, i do comb for flaws pretty hard though, it is perhaps walking on thin ice (i am way more luvey duvey/cuddly on Painting + Modelling, 'i really like the basing!' etc) but i like the written word.

Mesopotamia. The Kingdom Where we Secretly Reign.

I drop knowledge in 40k Tactics and 40k Army Lists. I'll occasionally drop into P&M and Nuts and Bolts (quite an unintentionally hilarious forum at times) and of course the OT. I use different parts of Dakka for different things. Tournament Discussions is a great resource, and the DCM forum often has highly entertaining drama these days.

So yeah, for 40k related stuff I get a lot of use out of those forums and the OT is highly entertaining.

I rarely, if ever, go anywhere other than the places I mentioned, and for the most part I actively avoid N&R and YMDC.

I just don't like the genre.

I rarely visit the tourney discussions (not a tourney player, so more or less irrelevant to me).
