I was having a thought, which I shared with one of our fluff meisters, and he didn't like it, but I still feel it is worth bringing up to everyone's attention:

Draigo is trapped in the warp, and for most purposes, is basically a Daemon; he can not leave the warp unless it's through a warp rift, He can be summoned, and what not.

He is wrecking house against the other gods (Ok, they aren't exactly focusing on him, but you can't say he's doing badly).

So, what we have is a Daemon of Chaos who... hates Chaos, and wants to destroy everything that is to do with Chaos.

Malaal was the Chaos God that wanted to destroy Chaos because.... he Hated it, and it was his purpose to destroy everything that was to do with Chaos.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who sees the connection....

I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.

No, I wouldn't think he is,

but Malaal is probably very happy with Draigo for trolling the warp

Malal never even existed in 40K. And he wasn't retconned out either. The C'tan were retconned in. The Squats were retconned out. Malal was just forgotten about due to copyright laws.

No, but you have found a way in which Draigo's background could be made more annoying. So well done you.

No, they weren't.

A retcon is altering a previously established fact. Retconning the Squats would be saying they never existed. What happened to the Squats was story progression. The majority of them were in the path of (IIRC) Hive Fleet Kraken and got destroyed. That's not a retcon, since they still existed, and everything they did beforehand still stands. But they're gone, because in the story, they mostly got destroyed.

Another example like this would be Gryphonne IV. They destroyed it with Leviathan, but it previously held a place in the fluff.

You know how there's that whole clause of fluff saying that any fluff is regarded as a true rumor? As in, it could be a lie, but one perpetuated in the 40k universe?

I think that applies to Draigo wholeheartedly. And Matt Ward loves doing it.

What I'm trying to say is, f*** Matt Ward.

Also, bring back Malal somehow. Idgaf if you need to rename him or something, but Malal was pretty legit.

Gathering the Informations.

Malal was stupid and should never, ever, ever be brought back.

You know how people like to cry that "Draigo is nonsensical and doesn't fit 40k!".

Malal doesn't fit anything. It's the kind of idea you hear two college students come up with at 3am after getting blazed and watching Adult Swim.

That is to say it was a terrible one.

NO

Malal was/is too good to be Draigo, anyway he was banished from the Warp, not imprisoned in it.

And the lesser God Malice is still too good to be Draigo

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.

After reading up on him i'd be inclined to agree with you.He seems like the truest embodiment of the nature of chaos. Why is he not around any more?

Because the emo kids that thought he was cool cut themselves too deeply to continue caring about him.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

There's supposed to be plenty of lesser ones, they just don't get any attention, with maybe the sole exception of Malice via Sons of Malice.

It does say that there are other, weaker gods which some pray to. GW could make rules for a couple if they were so inclined.

Arguing with some people is like playing chess with a pigeon. You can play the best chess in the world, but at the end of the day the pigeon will still knock all the pieces off the board and then gak all over it.

I've always been a malal fan, but I can see why some people don't like the concept, as there are several glaring holes in it. However, nothing in 40k or wfb is airtight, and not only do I like the idea of an almost endless lesser pantheon below the big 4, I also like flaunting things from before my time, like malal, zoats, fmir, etc.
