Before you scream KFF at me I would like to set the scene.

500P Army, one Boomwagon the rest are Boyz.
So not many Vehicles to benefit from Its full effects, don't even say Kan wall

Anyway so I looked at the SAG and realised It's got the Longest range in the book, I know it can be a tad Odd sometimes yet since I've not played with it I wonder if the benefits beat the flaws.

Or mabye I might just get a Warboss and be brutal.

SAG can be quite fun and random.

kff is for playing it safe.. since when do orks play it safe...

besides if you're never fielded it give ti a shot...

hell once I managed to table myself turn 1 with 2 SAG in my list (low point game, gretchingx10 w/ ruth 2 squads to SAG and 2 squads of lootas... double ones twice wiped enogh lootas and both lost thier morale checks and ran off the table... still had fun though laughing at my own misfortune

That Is a fair point.
Yet my frequent opponent is a bit of WAAC, and loves to Gloat. I find it funny that he's managed to only beat me once though.

Anyway I was planning on doing this for Double battle tournament. My W/L Currently with a list like this is 14W 2D 2L.

I might for the purpose of fun just go for a Mek or Warboss and make my own awesome Character, for example more Machine than Ork. I already have a good Backstory.

So mabye the Next question is with 85P whats the best Character you can make with Cybork Body?

Unfortunately this would mean the Warboss wouldn't have a PK so not sure If that would mean only Meks would ne any good?

Depends. He's going to be tough to kill but not able too do too much.

I want something a tad fragile, that needs tactics perhaps. And T4 W2 Kinda puts me off Mega armouring him for the sole purpose of he will only be able too sit back with the Boomgun.

I thought about Attack Squig PK and Cybork.
And even Attack Squig and Cybork on a Warboss, for Maximum speed and attacks

Big Mek with Burna Cybork Attacks Squig and 'Eavy armour?

no powerwepon is kinda a setback on the warboss sure he can swing at I5 but he wont kill much. For 85 points you pretty much only have the mek as an option .Why do you need to have cybork?

For the backstory.
Which in short is they've been cursed with Toxins rather much like Zogwort except without the snakes.
So these Toxins are slowly killing them and the few that survive the Initial bout are Tough orks Indeed. But the only way for them too survive as long as a Normal ork of not longer they've got too replace their flesh with Metal too stop the slow death.

Before anyone says Antitoxins please remember they're Orks.

Once again I forgot to Mention I could just run a Basic one and have a Killa Kan with Grotzooka to fill the Cybork slot. Obviously not using the Model though.

But I'm not sure that will Benefit me in gaming terms unless I use him as a deterance and keep him near a Chokepoint in BLOS cover.

I thought of that Also.
But then I don't get my Rusty Basalisk that's perferated with bullet holes.

And trust me the Boomgun has won me the Game on turn one goodbye Death company and Astorath the Grim

Anyway what do you think of the Kan Idea? With Grotzooka to soften up the enemy or mabye the Rokkit Launcha?

Forgot too mention that Cyborking yourself would cost a lot of teeth. So I doubt the Boyz would be able too afford it.

both are great options,as far as options do you need more AT or AI? I think the AT would be better.

cyborked ard boys with the dok is one hell of a unit to deal with. At 15 pts each its not overly terrible compared to other armies.

Also, what else is going to kill terminators and SMs that easily in the ork list (i.e. 500 points)?

Everyone says "of, they are so unreliable." I love the SAG. It averages on average a STR 7 AP 2 pie plate that kills marines dead. Which, is one of the few ork weapons that can.

The goofiness of rolling doubles is just an added bonus in my opinion.

its nice when its Str7 but is has a good chance of being biting you in the ass

Cough Boomgun Str 8 AP3.
You do have me on the Terminator front but they're nothing 40 Boyz and some PK's can't fix.

Anyway, the SAG would be great If I didn't have to drop points everywhere.

So the new Question is Big Mek with Cybork and other stuff or the Kan with Rokkits or Grotzooka.

Anyway, how many Tanks would you sensibly fight at 500P?
I've only ever fought Nids SM and Eldar with damnable Harliquins. Couldn't shoot them with the Boomgun and 20 Boyz isn't going to kill them and they're quick so they killed me quick.

Anyway if an enemy will sensibly field more than 3-5 Tanks I will go for the Rokkits. I just find that most are Transport not weapons. And the weapon vehicles that scare me are the Punisher and Manticore.

And you would only see one two at tops.
Anyway what would you spend 50 Points on or 85P of HQ.

kannons would be great to take at that low of points level . I would take 6 kannons over one boom gun for roughly the same points. 6 small blasts or 6 rokkitz without having to deal with dont touch that that.I would do something like this

Mek
15 shootas
15 shootas
20grotz
3 kannon
3 kannon

I can see the point about Kannons. But they're fragile and are weak against SM. Since only half will hit so roughly 3 Kills or you could vaporise an entire squad thats badly placed. Anyway Kan or Mek?

kan

So I've got 15P to spend on a Kan.
So Grotzooka and Grot Riggers?

Or Grotzooka and 5P too spend on the Mek?

In my 500 points BA combat patrol list I run 3 Razorbacks with TL Assault cannons, each fitted with 5 assault marines with 1 meltagun.

Be ready to take out tanks!

Fair point. But I doubt you can shred 40 Boyz and a Boomgun/Kan.
I will get you. Just worried because your fast.
Anyway, thats pretty solid, will tweak a bit since you've said that.

Well, depends on dice, skill, terrain and God. What I normally do VS any opponent is keep my distance and shoot my 4X3 str 6 rending shots for as long as I can. When my tanks lose their weapons I tank shock and tank shock and tank shock, eventually I jump out of the razorback and assault, if possible with all my 3 squads. 50% of the matches one of my squads has furious charge and fearless. I do struggle with some opponents, usually those who can take out my tanks AND overwhelm me in CC.

Well considering the Boomgun is Ordinance large Blast and 36" I would present two options you come foward and try too deal with the Boomgun and be assaulted by 40 Boyz and some PK's. Or you deal with the Boyz and hope the Boomgun doesn't kill every Razorback.

But It would be tough and depend on Dice and Terrain.

I also would have a Kan as an Assault detterent.
And your list is as competitive as I would see.

So I think I've made a good list better thanks to you guys, so thanks

I'd be screaming KFF, but at 500 pts, a SAG would be quite nasty. So, yeah. SAG it up.

This. You don't have enough vehicles to need a KFF, and the SAG will just FSU wherever you point.

Ok.

So the Three variations are SAG 95P
Or Big Mek and KillaKan with Grotzooka.
Or 30 Boyz and a SAG Mek and Killakan.
Instead of 40 Boyz.

So what do you suggest?

The last one. Except, I'd do it a little more like this.

HQ
SAG Mek - 95

Troops
Boyz x 30 - 240
Shootas, Rokkits x 2, Nob w/ PK, BP

Heavy
KK x 3 - 165
Rokkits, Grot Riggers

Of course, that's if you wanted to use KK's. You could instead go with 10 Lootas for 150, add another Rokkit Boy for 10 to your boyz, and a BP with your SAG Mek. Keep him with the Lootas, and keep shootin'.

Only hitch is thats Illegal list and with 3 Kans you would take a KFF.

So it comes pretty much down to SAG or 10 Boyz?

that and riggers is a waste for a squadron.( cant use them at all)

Except for the Last one. So putting Riggers on one Is fine

Anyway SAG or 10 Boyz? That's the question.
