Hi all Joske here from Deffgames, this is my 2000th post so I thought, "let's make this one count" and I want you to show you my recently finished drone assassin and my grey knights, it's not much YET I am close to 1000 pts, not a very competitive army but a lot of fun to play, next step is to mass it out a bit, more termies and strike squads, a dreadknight and maybe a stormraven or two.. about a month and a half after the GK release I strated the army as my second one..
I build up the Knights when I got time and some spare money.. I am not a fast painter, and some aren't completly done yet, just ome details, like lenses or the dead head in the lava, I take my time but it improves the results IMO. I love the grey knights for three reasons: 1 The models are F*ckin EPIC !!!! just look at them !! they are so cool, 2 its really nice to paint them, not so hard and goes fairly quick and the results are sometimes stunning.. 3 (ofcourse) they are real cheesy on the battlefield..

so without further ado..

starting with the captain.. converted from stern and the deamonhead is the one wich comes with the terminator kit, with the hand snapped of, the rest is polystyrene and paint..

I love him.. and he'll do the job as a "counts as" and I didn't had to by a 13 EUR model for it ^^ scoooore..

Freehand is impressive.

Drone idea is fantastic.

All is done well, but no its not the coolest Vindicare, more the easiest.

Personally I love it. You can tell a fair bit of imagination and work went into it, defiantly more than an out of blister vindicare.

The rest very nice, but to me, the GK models are some of the worst in the game.

What went into that assassin? I can see a scout sniper, a land raider target thingy, two tank cupola things. Anyway idea stolen.

brilliant idea with the assassin! I could picture a grey knights employing the use of a drone like that, really fits the theme of the army. Well done.

Great job on those Grey Knights. They are very nicely Painted.
And that assassin is ingenious great use of bits it looks awesome!

@JeneralJoe117: the drone assassin is made of two landraider hatch thingies, but they're also in any other SM vehicle kit, a boltpistol from a scout and also a sniperrifle, an IG binuculars to the side an some gk equipement hanging on the left rear as wll as some IG amo belts..

@Ogryn: no i don't think so the paladis and drone haven't seen any kind of action yet..

@Toastedanddy: Yes they are the most aesome and coolest models in the GW(40k) range, DE and BA are also very cool models, althoug a Trygon beats them all; a trygon is the fysical embodyment of the hobby.. you can find almost every aspect in it.. think about it

I would have liked the drone to have cables and stuff hanging beneth it, like servo skulls usually have. But this looks good enough.

if there would be cables hanging below it he could make a sound when he was sneaking up to a target, when the cables touch the ground or something else it would alert the target and the drone would be killed.. second when the drone needs to make a run for it has to keep its "head" down, the cables could get stuck behind something on the ground and he would be trapped.. and such a drone is not cheap.. so stealth and swiftness are key qualities required for the job that has to be done..

Nice grey knights, I like the vindicare assassin it is so must cheap than paying 25 bucks for one in Australia.

Agree with most of the Posters previously - the Painting on the Banners, the freehand pics/detail - are all great. The Bases should be mentioned as well - very nice.

As for the Drone - excellent. To use such a combination of pieces to make a specific Model work is just...brilliant.

Time and patience is the key component of a good paintjob.. although I'm not very happy with the bases but hey they're ok.. IMO

Loving the freehand, Joske! The knights look great and the army will be awesome when it's finished.

The Vindicare reminded me of an armed version of the Star Wars interrogation droid.

To the OP - nice work on your GKs, and like most others here, I think you've done a great job on the Assassin drone. Do you have some more photos of it? Well lit ones!

I'd make the background of that banner a bit more orange (or lava-like) to create a bit more contrast between the banner and the picture on it. Right now, it sort of all blends together in too much red.
